Yes, Jake said that set would be shown at BrickFest. Hopefully they'll show that and this new SW set aswell.
-
Well BrickFest starts tomorrow, and if I remember correctly Cloud City last year was revealed on Saturday night or Sunday morning of BrickFest (depending on when you live), so lets hope it's the same this year ;)

I think the perfect set for this would be a very large system Sandcrawler. It would be big enough to look UCS, but you'd also get lots of minifigs aswell. :D Infact, i think this is very likely now, for two reasons. 1. Some people would be dissapointed in a UCS Y-Wing, but no-one would be dissapointed in a Sandcrawler. 2. It'll probably be released near the time when the DVDs are released, and the Sandcrawler is somethigng everyone will recognise. Let's hope :D

The picture on the box shows Leia with white arms, the other picture shows Leia with tan arms. I'm very observent :loul:

OK, you've seen the news on the front page, but just incase you haven't for some reason, I'll post what I said on the front page here: After what some people have called an bad year for Star Wars LEGO, it looks like they're going to have something to look forward to. Although we don't know what it is yet, Ace on FBTB has just said this in the forum: "There's one last set coming out this year and you WILL NOT be disappointed. That is unless of course, you can't afford it. Start penny pinching now.... " When will this set be revealed? I'm hoping that it will be at BrickFest on the the 13th - 15th August. What do you think the set will be? Join in the discussion in the forum! So what do you think the set will be? I don't think it'll be a UCS Y-Wing because he says that we WILL NOT be dissapointed, and I can see that a few people might not be interested in a Y-Wing. Whatever it is, I'm excited! :D

Well I scored 9.66469% on the test, so I have Geekish Tendencies. I definantly think I'm more of a geek than that though :P

Now that's easy ;) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=861047

Great work Jon! Your Nelson's Column looks very accurate, and I can tell your Helm's Deep is going to be great. I love the battering ram ;) Now, if only I could build things this good :crying:

Welcome back! :D We all missed you ;)

Back on topic (a word that most people around here don't know :P ), here's a clip of a fight scene between Alien and Predator from the movie: http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&cf=trail...8496111&intl=us It's quite cool but the special effects look a little fake to me.

In England they banned Super Size chips, because people complained they were bad for you

Well I'm thinking about what sets I can get. The Spider-man ones look great, but I'm wondering if that bridge set would take up too much room on my shelves. I might get Boba Fett's Slave 1 to go on my Cloud City landing pad, but I've already got Jango Fett's, so I might not. I was also thinking about getting Jabba's Palace and the two smaller Jabba sets since they're half price now. Or maybe I could get the Hailfire Droid? Oh, it's all so confusing EDIT: Just looked again and most of the Star Wars sets have sold out, including Darth vader, R2D2, the Stormtrooper, Jedi Defense I, Jedi Starfighter, Droid Fighter, MINI X-wing Fighter & TIE Advanced, Jabba's prize, the Flash Speeder and Boba Fett's Slave 1! Also, the Spider-man Final Showdown set has changed to 'call to check product availability' :(

Yes, they were all very good models. I'm glad I wasn't part of the jury, I don't know which one I would have picked. But congragulations to Luigi, Apo, Jon and keitaro! :D

In this picture you can see that it is hinged, so you cn put it in an 'L shape' or make it straight.
-
Well I'd like to. I'm thinking of getting the Falcon for my Birthday, and maybe the TIE Collection for Christmas. So I probably won't get it for a while,
-
Here's some comparison pictures of the old and new TIEs on Brickshelf. They're quite a lot different to the old ones. Here's the changes I noticed: TIE Fighter - Added on pieces to the wings to make the sides come to a point - Added blue 2x1 grill piece on top of cockpit - Different type of hing to open the cockpit - More pieces on top of the parts that connect the wings to the main body - Two blue 2x1 grills taken out of the centre of the wings TIE Advanced - The main body goes much further back than on the old one and is built very differently - Radar dish added to the top of the cockpit - Inverse wedges added to the bottom of the parts that connect the wings for more support - Tiles added to the outside of wings and overall wing shape changed I think overall these changes make both the TIEs look much sleeker than they're originals, especially Darth's TIE. I'm actually quite looking forward to getting this set, since the only TIE I've got at the moment is the Bomber :D

Ah well, I prefer the look of the TIE Advanced in the TIE Collection anyway. And they're bound to release a redesign of the Y-Wing sometime :P -

Yes, unfortunatly :( -
OK, I'm bringing back this thread from ages ago. But there's some bad news! EuroBricks isn't on FBTB's front page anymore! When did that happen? And why did that happen? :crying:
-
NO! First Jon and now you! :crying: Oh well, if we'll hardly notice the difference then it doesn't matter, as long as you still come on a few times a week! :D
-
The TIE Collection is now available to buy on S@H in Europe (sorry again David85): http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=10131&cn=8&d=5&t=3
