I'm finding it hard to pick out some faults with this set. SY have really hit it out the park.

SY275-276 avengers sets have arrived from aliexpress. I put the order in on 27th June. I love quick deliveries!

42 Metallo The last two were the only two I couldn't find. There's quite a few obscure Batman 3 characters. Igor looks sweeeet!
-
Red Tornado, Deadshot, Doctor Fate, Jason Todd/Red Hood, Black Adam, Ms. Marvel, Sentry, Spiderwoman! I have to pick these up regardless of the quality.

Awesome set. I don't think we'll ever get spider-woman lol I'm sure Snatch Beach set is based on the mobile game Boom Beach. A Clash of Clans type game I believe.

I bought a group of SY figures from eBay. The two sets it included were the very old 8 set (Aquaman, Catwoman, Flash, etc.) and the Ant-Man half of the 16 set. Both sets had the new SY shoulder shape. The plastic also seemed to be better when I compared Catwoman with the old set I had. Nice to know they're still producing one of their first sets.

I don't think we've seen this set before http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/SY275-8pcs-Building-Blocks-Super-Heroes-Avengers-2-Age-Ultron-Minifigures-Justice-League-Iron-Man-Black/1198249_32376512796.html

That Hawkeye is looking good. I don't think I'll invest in a Dremel just yet. I can't think of many other uses.

I'm digging that bane mask. Is that a copy of a custom mould?

It's nice to see Supergirl with side leg printing.

Just managed to get my hands on the SY AoU set. It still amazes me how good the quality of their figures are. My only problem would that the joints are a little too tight. But that's hardly a problem when you get bootlegs such as Lele with arms and legs not staying in place. If anyone in the UK has a spare DLP Ultron and wants to trade it with the SY Ultron, hit me up. I'm not too keen on the design.

That's a strange move by SY

I gave it a shot. Hopefully it turns out good so I can give boots to all my customs. I have a quick question for you, agoodfella77. SY's Hawkeye mask is both amazing and so annoying that it covers the mouth. How did you manage to shave it down? What did you use? I wanna try it also.

Here's some of Decool's latest set. Printing seems to be a bit sloppy like their Collector set. But check out Supergirl's torso shape! Also, The Superman is not the new 52 design. EDIT: Closer look at the other figs. http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Upcoming-Product-Decool-0199-0204-Supergirl-Hawkman-Cyborg-Brainiac-Minifigures-6pcs-lot-Building-Blocks-Model-Sets/1357357_32350699004.html

Wow. I see someone made a Galactus out of the Decool Groot. That's genius.

I've always wondered how you guys paint the boots on the minifig. I find that the most difficult part of customising

I don't have any before or after pics but I will take some when I use it next. I use a semi gloss clear paint, so the shine is barely noticeable. Actually the only noticeable difference is that it looks slightly paler in colour. A head I painted black looks more matte strangely. Maybe I'm not applying it right or I'm using the wrong thing but it does what I want and that is prevent the paint from scratching off. Depending on how you apply it, it wont mess up the underlying paint. It's kinda difficult to explain. I'd say have a go at it, best way to know if its for you. I'm very clumsy so I'm always scratching the paint off. The size of the emblem and the belt does look a lot like the new 52 Superman.

Thanks! I pretty much got the idea for Angel from agoodfella77's custom. Check his out on Flickr for a better and more complete version. It's what inspired me to go buy paints and I'm very thankful that I did. There's so much more room for customisation. I've already have planned a few customs in my head. As for the paints, I buy a brand called Crafter's Acrylic paints. Any acrylic paint would do I believe. However, I did buy some cheap tubed acrylic paints and they were horrible and lumpy. I also learnt the hard way that Acrylic paint scratches off quite easily. So it's a good idea to buy some kind of acrylic clear gloss to seal it. I use a Tamiya brand who also make good Acrylic paints. I hope this helps. I'm very new to painting minifigs so maybe someone here with more experience could confirm all this, but it's what helps me. Good luck! It only excusable for a character like Colossus. lol Thank you! It's great that they're so cheap. Probably the only way I could have gotten my hands on a few Hulk minifig torsos.

First time sharing anything I've made so go easy on me lol These were a result of testing the paints on bootleg spare parts. They're about 70% complete. I need to master painting boots, adding finer details like muscle lines, and find a way to do Banshee's wings. Also, that lighter shade of green legs are difficult to find! I plan to redo all them once I finish university and have time.
-
The first couple of minifigs I painted were... lets just say they will never see the light of day. But I carried on trying and now I have an Angel, Nightcrawler, Kitty Pryde, Banshee, and Quicksilver that I'm not too embarrassed to share. Practice makes perfect.

It seems like the only bootleggers who know what they're making is SY and possibly Decool. I can only seem them making something like Giantman or Galactus in big minifig form, or making hologram SW figures for the right characters. The rest of the bootleggers don't seem to know half the characters they produce. Probably that's why we keep getting the avengers from every new bootlegger. Also, I kinda want to customise big minifig now lol.
