Hey there! About five years ago I built a huge (144 studs x 144 studs) mosaic of the Lego logo. A friend on mine has just started a small business and I'd like to do build one for him with his new logo to help him out, but the website I used at the time (Brickit) is no longer functional. This site was great - I uploaded the image, selected the colors, cleaned it up a bit and then ordered the parts from the parts list it generated. I've tried some of the other software packages out there such as Pictobrick and Brickiazer and just can't get them to work. As a result, I'm looking to pay someone to do this for me. I need instructions and a parts list generated from the logo for a 144x144 mosaic. If anyone has this capability, please let me know! Thanks!

I'm going to be in Europe from the U.S. the last week of September, and just booked my ticket to go to The Lego House the day after the grand opening! What else Lego-related (besides the theme park) is there to do in Billund? I've always wanted to go on the Insider Tour, and I'm guessing that's the only way you can get into the plant and such? Any insights on how a Lego fan can spend 48 hours in the motherland (and even tips on where to stay) would be much appreciated! One last question - besides the Billund Airport set and the Lego House set, are there any exclusives there to be found?

This looks perfect - thanks much!

Hi! My name is Chip, and I'm in the US. For several years now I've been wanting to make a large Lego logo mosaic (thinking like 4x4, or 192 studs by 192 studs). I've failed miserably at trying to come up with a design for it. Pic to Brick is WAY outside my comfort level from a technical standpoint, and I haven't found anything else usable (Photobricks on my iPhone didn't work well either). I'm looking for someone who could put together the layout for this, and send along a parts list and instructions. I will pay the person for this process. Anyone have any ideas about somneone who could possibly do this? Thanks in advance for your help!

So I just bought a beautiful yet dusty UCS 10175. I took everything apart to wash the pieces, and made a mistake of using an oxygenated bleach cleaner. The grays all looks great, but the blacks definitely look washed out by the bleach. I saw something online about boiling parts in RID dye but it seemed questionable. Does anyone have any insights into how I could get the color back into these black plates? Any help would be VERY much appreciated!

I'm hoping to build an approximately 4 foot by 4 foot mosaic of the Lego logo. I've been looking for a solid, easy-to-use mosaic-creating software but have had no luck. PicToBrick looks like it would be good, but the tutorial is really poor and I have had a difficult (actually impossible) time working through the interface. I have Photobricks loaded on my iPhone, but I can't see where it would give me any directions to use when building the piece. Are you aware of any other ways I could complete this project, and if not, have you seen any PicToBrick tutorials that are understandable to someone who doesn't have a computer science degree? Any other insights on how to complete this project would be really appreciated - thanks in advance for your help!

Shipping by store (I've found) to be at the whim of the manager. I found a Lego store in California that would ship to me, but the one that's closest to where I live (3 hrs) neither ships nor hold for more than 12 hours. Call around to see what you can find.

2010 Winter Toy Shop Available Again

Just built it - fantastic set I highly recommend! -
I thought I'd hit paydirt back in August when I called Lego SAH to ask if there was any plan to re-release the Holiday Toy Shop. They told me they'd just found 10 in their warehouse and would sell it to me at list (this is when they were going for $120 on eBay). Of course this was much cooler before they actually re-released the set!

This is a really great set - it was the first "grown up" Lego I bought. What's the ask?

[USA] ToysRUs LEGO Bricktober Sale: October 3-9
earl9371 replied to BlueDragonZ's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
TRU sure could learn a few things about shipping - I received two large sets today where they'd been left in their initial carton from Lego with little more than an address sticker slapped on the front. They're pretty banged up. -
This is VERY cool - thanks! One question - I couldn't find any way on LDD to generate a parts list. Is there a way to do this?

Somewhat interesting that the Lego powers-that-be wised up and didn't include a parts inventory with these instructions! I've been trolling Bricklink since the Comic Con 2010 guys came out, using the parts list included in those instructions. Unfortunately there isn't an easily downloadable list where I've been able to quickly enter all the parts into Bricklink to pick them up - I've ordered from about three retailers and still need 40 more pieces. The retailers as well aren't to happy with me as I'm ordering pretty much 1 or 2 of each part! Legolandia, if you're looking for the Comic Con dude instructions (and fortunately parts list) you can find them here: http://www.brickset.com/miscellaneous/CubeDudes/SDCC10/ I spent a lot of time trying to find these, and really appreciated Brickset posting them. Enjoy!
