  1. I wonder... was that actually part of the scene at first or was it dubbed in for the commercial? I'm curious if it is going to show up in a later episode... Of course, this could be another situation like the Zane-in-the-fridge scene, which was different depending on which country the episode aired in. (In the U.S., Kai finds a note in the fridge telling him that Zane has consumed the last of the deli meat and offering cheese, whereas another version from another country has Zane actually in the fridge, with Kai exclaiming "Holy baloney!" instead of "Huh?" when he opens the fridge.)
  2. That, or the ninja's memories of the LU story were erased by Ronin. According to advertisements from before LU was announced to close, there was going to be a Fire Temple boss battle where you would fight Lord Garmadon who would receive help from the Darkitect. It would have been interesting to see how they would have ended up tying in the Snakes storyline into the game. But yeah, the "Lego Universe" universe is probably not the same universe as the TV show's universe.
  3. I've never been so excited about a Lego set with a Stormtrooper until now. THAT HELMET AND THAT BLASTER.
  4. The galactic coordinates actually define how the world will generate, so that anyone who types in those coordinates when they create a world will have the exact same terrain as everyone else who used those coordinates. They are essentially Lego World's version of Minecraft world seeds.
  5. LOL. This should be a legit thing.
  6. Huh. That's interesting. I can't stop laughing at the word filter, LOL! I think Lego Worlds is either in the same universe as Lego Universe (the game), or representing various Lego planets created by the imaginations of kids in the real world. The "galactic coordinates" seems to imply that each world is on a separate planet, or possibly even chunk of a planet, which would make it fit into the Lego Universe universe.
  7. I can't stop laughing at all the occurrences of "Grumpy Sparrows" in this topic. XD I think a Lego Dimensions Grumpy Sparrows pack is inevitable. Still didn't see any of this coming, though. Will it come packaged with tasty Lego-shaped candy?
  8. XD I was so confused when I read this topic. I really didn't see this coming. I'm not sure what to think of this, other than it obviously being Lego grabbing at popular licenses to make money. I've never played Grumpy Sparrows, but I'm curious to see how the sets turn out.
  9. Well no wonder that's the title of the book... look at the other books the author has written!
  10. Yes, but there also minifig parts in Creator sets, and those aren't in Lego Worlds yet either. (In the building brick system, that is.) The Creator set in the game is actually made up of several interactable components similar to the smashables from previous Lego games, meaning that a lot of the parts used are not in the brick system, and using the remove terrain on the building will destroy an entire section since its all one "piece" in the code, similar to how vehicles are handled. Lego Universe's properties did have a lot (and I mean a LOT) of various bricks in all shapes and sizes, so I expect that this game will probably have more added in the future as well. Curved and arc pieces, and other various studs-up parts could be added fairly easily. I'm not sure if the game's code supports sideways-building and hinges/advanced rotation, though. If it has those (or has support for that added), then the game would be able to support not only Technic bricks but maybe even other complex parts like ball-joints and hinged cockpits and flexible tubes. (Maybe the flexible tubes are a bit of a stretch. ) I do wonder, though, how much hard-drive and memory usage would adding all those cause to be increased?
  11. Disney Infinity uses the same base for consoles from the same company, meaning the Wii base is compatible with the Wii U, and PS3-PS4 (The Xbox 360 & One being the exception), so there's that. I'm not too sure about how different the 7th and 8th-gen consoles are different from each other, I can definitely see the portal being exactly the same for all the editions of Dimensions, with only the software disc being the difference. Having only one type of portal hardware to manufacture would be more efficient, wouldn't it? That might also explain why the Dimensions base is not nearly as thin as the Infinity base, since it may have to be bigger to support all the different consoles. Also, all Infinity 1.0 bases are compatible with the 2.0 and 3.0 software, which means only the game software has changed between Infinity versions. That's why I'm glad Lego isn't going down that route. (And at least Disney will be offering the 3.0 disc separately.) The only actual good reason for a "2.0" in Dimensions would be an actual improvement/change on the portal hardware.
  12. Hahaha. Agreed, I want to see that Scarecrow cutscene. Also, maybe Batman has multiple personalities... technically he already has 2 anyway. XD TLM Batman: I only work in black... and sometimes very very dark grey. *60s Batman walks in wearing his blue and light-grey outfit* Also, isn't there also the Batman from the TV/Direct-to-DVD specials? (Not including the DC Superheroes Unite movie which was essentially the movie version of the Lego Batman 2 videogame.) That means there are 4 Batmans (Batmen? ). I'm not sure what would happen if all 4 of them met each other.
  13. A: No, there is no Technic bricks in the game yet. At the moment only the standard studs-up bricks, plates, tiles, and slopes are available to build with.
  14. Gauntlet in Lego Dimensions CONFIRMED.
  15. The game will more than definitely be released to PCs in general once it is finished, albeit probably for a much higher price than Steam's early access is offering it for right now. I think it will probably also be released for consoles, seeing as the PC version seems to work best with a controller. You can play as a skeleton, so does that count? Unfortunately it seems that skeletons are rarely good guys in Lego sets and games.
  16. I don't think Minecraft was created with the intention of being what I think must be the most modded game of all time. It just happened because of the game's code being modular and easy to mod. (Once the community had developed the Minecraft Coder's Pack, of course. I hear that before that was created Minecraft modding was extremely difficult and mods often would be incompatible with each other.) And besides, Minecraft makes you have to earn the right to diamonds. (Before Creative Mode was added in the Adventure Update (Beta 1.8), of course.) The folks at RRU have already discovered how to unlock every character/vehicle with a bit of modding (That was fast!)
  17. Ooh... I should have known that was a hint, especially since the donut, Ghostbusters device, and Lego Superman set in the background were all hints.
  18. That would make sense. I don't own the game yet, but I do know that your starting minifigure is random (EDIT: Oops, guess not.), and I'm pretty sure individual brick-building is already implemented, seeing as it was in the trailer, which used only in-game footage. And the game does have full controller support, and I would expect it probably would work better with a controller.
  19. Or is it all just an illusion of perspective??? Cool! Also cool! EDIT: From the official Lego Dimensions Facebook page. "‪#‎LEGODimensions‬ is growing to include characters, vehicles and gadgets from The Simpsons, Doctor Who, Ghostbusters, Portal, Jurassic Park Midway Arcade, LEGO Chima and Scooby-Doo Get ready to build, rebuild and unlock the unique powers from your favorite worlds." Midway Arcade? What characters from Midway Arcade could appear in Lego Dimensions?
  20. Actually, I've heard that when you start the game a random minifigure will fall from the sky as your default character that you can then change/customize. From Wikipedia: "Minecraft is a sandbox independent video game originally created by Swedish programmer Markus "Notch" Persson and later developed and published by the Swedish company Mojang. The creative and building aspects of Minecraft enable players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D procedurally generated world. Other activities in the game include exploration, resource gathering, crafting, and combat. Multiple gameplay modes are available, including survival modes where the player must acquire resources to build the world and maintain health, a creative mode where players have unlimited resources to build with and the ability to fly, and an adventure mode where players play custom maps created by other players." The game is currently the best-selling PC game OF ALL TIME, with 19,707,344 (and counting) copies of the PC/Mac edition sold. (The game also has console and mobile editions, though the PC is by far the most popular.) The game is also well-known for the many player-made modifications (called mods) that change the game or add various things to it, ranging from rocket ships and the moon to magic wands and elemental monsters. The game is VERY moddable, and due to this there are many mods that have been made for the game. The game also features Redstone, which is essentially the electricity of Minecraft, which can be used to build many circuits and technical things, from open/close circuits to computers, caluculators, and other neat contraptions.
  21. This is now officially the successor to Lego Universe. (Or at least the LU building properties.) I WILL GET THIS GAME.
  22. What's wrong with that? It means less money to pay! I think you may be confusing buy-to-play with pay-to-play. (Buy means one-time-pay, pay means memberships.)
  23. Well that would explain Invisable and Toxikita showing up as Elemental Masters in the Ninjago TV show.
  24. As long as it isn't flimsy and as long as it doesn't break easily, I'm all for more minifigure articulation, provided they don't change the overall look too much. I would especially like new articulated short legs (and a special short torso to go with it for better proportions). I would expect that changing the basic minifigure parts would be met with a lot of resistance, though, mostly due to how nostalgic the current design has become, having lasted from 1978-present with only very slight alterations (such as the minifig head's stud becoming depressed/hollow and the torso's leg-connection point becoming a tighter "X" connection from the older ": :" connection.)
  25. "Minecraft power with exploration and building in-game, via an interface similar to that of LDD." YES, YES, YES, YES, YES!!!
