Yes, the truck is impressive, big at 3747parts! having built alot of moc's over the last few years, sourcing the parts is never cheap. I would start with set 8258 crane truck, this will give you a good start for many of the parts. Bricklink is the place to source the rest. i find shipping costs 40% of the cost of building an moc, using bricklink, some sellers really charge high postage. i would say this moc will cost about £300gbp + postage costs of £180gbp just an estimate. sky

from what i can gather paul made the model then blakbird made the instructions. The instructions are pauls/blakbirds to sell and only they should sell them, or offer them for free. and as for a third party offering kits, after paul has done so, i think there is little point. sky

I bought my instructions for crowkillers gallardo by blakbird for £15GBP early on on ebay. Later the instructions are free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sky

This has clearly caused both concern and debate. Firstly on copyright and intellectual property. I can't see how this has broken any laws in the UK or abroard. Positives: This allows other lego enthusiasts the opportunity to own or build a great MOC design. It is frustrating when lego issue models without instructions. This is the same for MOC's. Negatives: The original designers artistic rights may of been morally infringed and i guess permission should of be sought before offering for sale. To this end i will consider ending the auction, after i have contacted the bidders to explain the situation.

this is not exactly firas GT40. It was inspired by firas. The design was built differently from the bottom up. The final outcome is a suitable tribute to firas design. It can be very frustrating for lego fans to see great MOCs and then not be able to build them!

Yes, i can see your point, if it was firas exact model. However it is not, it is my work it took inspiration from firas. The design will be different as i didnt have instructions to build from. I will credit firas as an inspiration in the sale. Regards sky I was inspired by the avros yellow GT40. I was considering building, however it is a big model, 1:10? which apparently no longer exists. When i saw firas red GT40 i felt the 1:17 scale was interesting and i would give it a try. I mainly build Technic models, so this was a diversion, but a good learning experience. I have the parts to build the avros GT but at the moment not the time.... sky
