I dont have much time to get a link, I have to leave in about five minutes, but just go to bricklink, click catalog, click parts, click minifigure weapons, scroll down and cannons will be towards the bottom of the page
-
Dont bother with LDD... horribly over priced...you can get some for cheap from bricklink Man, now I have to buy all of the cannons I need before you so I can definently get them in time
-
Congrats... well for you... I personally hate babies (Yeah, I am a horrible person, blah blah blah, etc etc) for many reasons but I dont have to explain myself... Well really I hate people in general, but babies are the worst. Still congrats Anyway, I cannot wait until you have more time to work on this beauty again

I somewhat agree with Claus von Nassau on this one. Although I am not going for entire historical accuracy (or really much at all for that matter), thats dragon just doent say "chinese" to me as the first one you suggested did. Nevertheless, this thread is not just for me, but anybody looking for alternative flags, so maybe it will function better for another person as chinese than myself

I hear you with that.. I live in america, but most of my ancestory is German. I dont get mad about people saying germans are nazis though... people are ignorant... I do think you might be reading a little too much into this though kabel... Other than the no sense issues, it looks good though =)

Thanks a lot Brig Brick... I actually completely forgot about the armada, and I am not sure if I will be including islanders in my sea, but there are others who will surley be use islanders for similar stuff. I am not entirely sure what i am doing with the redcoats due to the classic and new differences, but I will figure something out. Edit: I think I will (as soon as I get classic redcoats, as I dont have any right now) use the old redcoat cammander as the admiral and the new one as the governor... not positive yet, but it seems possible.

Ha, that is probably a good thing... you wouldn't be posting much longer on these forums if you did. And once again, not a problem

Ranks are based on your number of posts, and please take note Im not informing you to go on a crazy spamming rampage to get a high rank... Your first post until #10 you are in group "Im New" then you are a "Eurobricks Vassal" until post #100, where you become a "Eurobricks Citizen" and it keeps going like that

Thanks very much Captain Becker... Those are actually about perfect, and oriental pirates actually were an idea I had in mind. The entire sea with kind of be an ongoing project (for the next 10+ years ha) and right now I am working on getting my four main groups (Redbeard, Brickbeard, Redcoats, and Bluecoats... you may have seen me posting about the MOC ship I will be starting to make progress on tomorrow and probably post about in around 2 weeks [when I can make real progress] which will be Brickbeards, then I will work on some redcoat stuff, but I am getting too off topic so let me get back on topic now). After I have suitable ships/islands/forst for them I will probably move onto some regular merchant and regular people stuff then work on getting the Chinese pirates started(the third main group of pirates) and maybe a smaller group, where captain kraggs flag may be perfect. So I guess that was really a long rambly partially off topic thing just to give a thanks...

I am working on building a vast sea with various pirate groups, red coats, blue coats, and possibly other navies and was thinking. So basically I am planning on having a few fleets under different commands (right now I have Brickbeards crew being worked on as well as Redbeards, but I may add Ironhook and some others) but I need ways to distinguish ships apart to show they are not a part of the same fleet. Redbeard has the classic pirates flag, and brickbeard has the close-in-resemblence 2009/2010 pirates flag. What are some other pirate-y looking flags that you would all find fitting in with the theme (pictures are great) I guess more offical navies (redcoats and bluecoats are covered I guess, but there were plenty of navies back then) are welcome here too. By the way, please try to deeplink photos if possible. If you are having trouble you could consult the tutorials on how to or just post a link ( )

Hey, I hear you there... give it some time, and it gets better... I hope so anyway, its what I have been telling myself, ha Nah, but after a few weeks and some logical thinking, it gets easy
-
Man... I remember somebody else having one as well, but cannot remember... I am sure ZCerberus probably does... what doesn't he have

You need to access the Universe mode... It is lengthy to explain how to do so, but if you google it you can certainly find a guide. I think there actually is a guide to one on eurobricks, if anybody knows, please post a link to help Mr. Charleston here out

Well I mean to take down the walls until you basically are down to about the standard hulls, then put some slanted pieces (like 2x2x1 1/3s) in to make it not so square-ed-ish(I rock at making up my own adjectives!) Even if that doesn't make much sense to you, just getting back down to lower walls so the minifigs can see over them should make it look a lot better. And if somebody understands what i am getting at, please help me better explain this Bricklink.com is essentially the biggest asset to buy legos as far as MOCs or anything LEGO goes...
-
CGH's rigging never fails to impress me... But come on, you trusted Commodore Hornbricker with a ship of this magnificency(made up word perhaps?)... nah I'm just messing around, after all if you even let me see it I probably would be the idiot it trip and knock it over into pieces
-
haha... like I said, my german is not so good... never-the-less, the ship is very nice, and I managed to interperet the name all by myself, so I feel special
-
It is a very nice fist ship... my biggest recommendation would just be to lower the walls and put in some slanted pieces where the huls are square... it will give it a much better look until you can add a second deck (if you dont understand exactly what i mean, just ask and I can easily go in more detail, as I am at times bad at explaining) oh and almost forgot, welcome to classic-pirates/eurobricks!
-
Very nice... Full islands are something I wish would show up more here...

Welcome to the forums AdmiralAwesome... I am no moderator, and do not like mini-modding, but please try to avoid putting stuff like R instead of are, and U rather than you... and I think threads like this have been done and there are spots to talk about alliegences already, so please try to do a little more research first(I actually put up a post that had been done before recently.. made me feel like a real jacka**) My allegience falls to the pirates
-
Yeah, I was looking further into it today, and with one stud hoding it on, you are right... although I was doing some more design thinking, and I may know what I am doing, but everybody will have to wait until I have enough stuff to start a thread on the MOC forum showing my progress as I make it to see just what I do...
-
Mine are definently 6270 Forbidden Island and Lagoon Lockup... the 09/10 sets just cant compare to good ol' classic sets(although the 2010 imperial flagship is a literal beast)
-
I am aware of what it means... but Miss Black in german is just Frau Schwarze I am not fluent in german, but I know thats correct... It may just be some kind of a regional slang type thing though. I had thought it may be something very similar to German, like how some languages closely resemble eachother. I speak school house german(hauchdeutsch), so I guess that is probably why I figured this..
-
Oh... what language is the name... I know its similar to German, but definently not german (Ich sprech ein wenig Hauchdeutsch. Es ist nicht so gut... )
-
I agree... the little ship is beautiful, but the navy may need a ship with a little more backbone yeah I thought the torsos looked like something from lego space sets or agents or something...
-
They are nice, and you definently have the basic ship-building concept down. Try to make them bigger though. You dont have to go too big, but maybe make it a good deal longer and wider, and a second deck (gives you somewhat of a cannon/crew sleeping area deck, which would be the lower one, then the floor on top of that) and try to get maybe four cannons if you keep it pretty small. make it wide enough so you can fit a cannon on each side, and all you really need it 4 studs between the cannons I would say(3 is alright too)... If you still have extra room, depending on how much bigger you make it, you could easily get 6 cannons in there. what I would even do it just leave them alone a build a new larger one.
