  1. I really really like this!! I used to think LDD was a bit meh, not for real builders, but I am changing my mind now. Hope this continues to be as good as it started, i.e. excellent!!
  2. either look at previous posts, or if you can't be bothered, here:My link I apologise for my inability to get the links to work...technology never ceases to fail me.
  3. Wow...! Massive detail and playability - you obviously thought well ahead when designing
  4. But I am a redcoat!! I am, I swear!!!! hahaha...But I am a redcoat of rank and thus a blue redcoat ;-)

  5. An update to the rigging as pointed out by some of you: And some clickable images:
  6. Borrow away!!! Just remember where you saw it first!! Just kidding, I probably saw it somewhere else too.
  7. Many thanks to everyone for your kind words and suggestions, I pretty much agree with you all. Stay tuned for a definitive version (if such a thing exists)
  8. Since most of you seemed to enjoy my previous ship, here is another: The Lucky Peter, which originally started life as an experiment, went on to be a merchant vessel, but ended up as a fishing boat since i had more crabs, shellfish, fish and nets than merchandise...True to my ways, she has no non lego elements, which has started to become a bit of a problem since lego string/rope is incredibly hard to come by in the quantities one needs to make rigging etc, so I may have to abandon this. She is based on the white bases with the annoying blue strip (what a nuicance), but that colour is similar to that found in many Mediterrannean ships. I have tried to make the bow as realistic as possible, with the stern though I just got a bit frustrated by the lack of pieces and just did what I could with what I had. I am quite miffed by the fact that most of us (including myself) build mighty frigates and ships-of the-line and pirate galleons but won't make anything for the larger ships to protect or attack... All comments good and bad are welcome. Click images below or go to link. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=442189
  9. Dude... you are making the rest of us look really bad... Simply stunning.
  10. I aim to get a few more smaller guns on deck when I get round to it, 4 bow and aft chasers and 2 somewhere in the middle.

  12. A new design would be best, based on the shape of the new ones, but without the cartoon eyes. I didnt like the new ones until i actually got one, and liked that i could fit more than a single fish inside. Maybe something like the new ones, with round eyes? In two different sizes? and manta rays, dolphins, hammerheads and swordfish for them to play with? Please mummy, please please please!!!!!
  13. More pics of this and my other ships here http://www.flickr.com/photos/anglezoo/ and here http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=440069
  14. Hey guys... unfortunately can't get more pics on due to restrictions to my upload limit. More pics to be found on flickr or brickshelf, look for anglezoo or pallas
  15. [pid][/pid] 101b HI Everyone, This is my first post, and I'd like to introduce myself with my ship the Pallas, a 28 gun frigate. This is the second ship I' ve made. Even though I ve emerged from my dark ages for quite some time I've never really poster anything until now. So, here she is. I am a purist and therefore am against handmade sails and rigging, though it would be more honest to say that I can't be bothered to make any. Besides...the ship is in mooring and isnt going anywhere, so she doesn't need the unfurled sails :-) Please feel free to post any comments recommendations or remarks you wish to make. Many thanks
