  1. I've done my part and supported this and also supported the starbucks modular that's on there.
  2. I have the simpsons set but I wouldn't know where to start to come up with something like this.
  3. Do we have any idea when these are coming out in 2015?
  4. Love the double decker couch. Will definitely be getting this. Is that unikitty the one they showed off at sdcc where people thought it was alluding to the existence of the submarine set ?
  5. Absolutely brilliant. I love it. Did it require many additional pieces than those found as part of the simpsons main set?
  6. I'm getting this on the 15th to get the elves workshop but I'd also intended to buy the grand emporium on the same day but as part of a separate transaction so that I could get another elves workshop to make a bigger one. Having looked at the small print it says one per household. Is this the case or has anyone else done anything similar ?
  7. Just picked up the winter village market in the lego shop in metrocentre gateshead for £79.99 this morning. Was told they had just come in the delivery that morning. Couldn't resist and wait for October double points as doubt they'd last that long with them being retired (I think you can still get them in America ?) Should look great next to santas workshop.
  8. Great idea. I had the shop from the movie high fidelity in my mind as I read this
  9. Sorry if this has already been posted - I looked but couldn't find a thread Just got back from my lego store which has the october events brochure in Like the US promo October has double points for vip members running from 1-31st and the elves workshop is offered as an exclusive gift when purchased with santas workshop or by spending £50 or more. Offer is in store and online whilst stocks last but only from 15th - 31st October Santos workshop available for everyone from 1st October Time for me to get some modulars and rack up those points. It's going to be an expensive month for me October brochure is viewable here http://stores.lego.com/en-gb?ignorereferer=true
  10. I'll wait until October to buy, when hopefully they'll be offering the holiday set for purchases over £50 in the uk
  11. Just a quick question. What's the dimensions of the base plate on the modulars (say for example the pet shop) I'm looking at shelves to display and don't want them to overhang but can only fiend width and height measurements. Thanks
  12. Not sure if people are familiar with the sam and max games but when I think of this mod that's the image I have in my head. Their office only occupies one room up stairs. The exterior fits in with the look of the pet shop also
  13. Despite all the moaning and negativity I read towards the town hall I really like the look of it. It's definitely on my wish list. It's not likely to be discontinued anytime soon is it ? If read PS and GE were most likely to go soon - if that's the case I'll get those first. Also love these threads - especially from someone who is on the verge of starting a modular addiction !
  14. Does anyone know if this will be available early to VIP members in the UK as it is in the US? Also it would be nice to get some confirmation of the October free exclusive creator set with qualifying purchases in the UK. It seems that the American calendar is released a lot earlier and contains a lot more info than the UK newsletter
  15. Hi all Does anyone know when the lego store get their catalogues regarding what events are due that month or if that info is on their web site? The US seem to have that info already (which is different to the UK events I think as we've already had the classic spaceman as a freebie bonus) but my store has nothing, even though September begins on Monday. Not sure what the mini build is on Thursday or what special poly bag will be offered for selected purchases Thanks in advance - I'm trying to plan out when to make big purchases
  16. Love these new build and review threads. Literally just getting in to modulars as my first purchase will be the pet shop in a few weeks - then the grand emporium next month (could all change if it's double VIP points for uk stores in October though ) Don't want to miss out like I did the fire brigade so I'm looking to get he sets likely to be retired first. Fortunately the fire brigade seems to hover around the £200 mark in ebay so not too bad. Looks like a nice set so maybe one day I'll add to my collection (that at present is non existent !)
  17. Hi all. First time poster after recently getting back into lego. Having a lego store 10 minutes away has done the trick as has a daughter who has started to get a keen interest in lego. We recently finished building the Simpsons house which I thought was great. I'm interested though has anyone modded their house so that the whole upper section can be removed to gain access to the lower floors (similar to the creator modular builds) I know part of it lifts off to access the living room. I can't see it being difficult. Just needs a few additional tan tiles and a few plates to build up he section above the living room so that it's at the correct level and to click the top floor to it. I know it opens up but the way it splits the kitchen up into two makes it not the best. I'm sure it would be better If it can be accessed from above when the kitchen is together
