Personally I think it'd be cool to have a Canyonerro or an official Marge car, I was hoping for the Marge station wagon at the Kwik-E-Mart but instead we got the cop car :( IF they do another set next year, my money is on the Android's Dungeon... but I can see a Krusty Burger getting some traction...

thanks for the review! most of the characters I'm looking forward to are only 3 to a box, so it'll be a challenge to get the complete set... Im glad willie is common but I wish comic book guy had 4 per box... can't wait for these to come out!

Man, so there's snake! I wish we could see the piece count. I was hoping for marge's car, don't really care about yet another police car. is there another minifig cut off in the middle on the right? can't wait for the official release! but it looks a little small for $200...

So since we saw a snake head leak, and he's not in the CMF i hope the alleviates doubts about the kwik-e-mart... snake would be a perfect exclusive fig for that set. maybe we'll get his car there too?? or marge's car would be awesome to come with the set (even thought i do like my moc version) especially if it is $200... i think that they'll keep the simpsons family as default guys in the CMF, which is too bad bc there are so many other characters I want!!!

man i just can't see how they could make a $200 set out of the kwik-e-mart. the $200 simpsons house is a pretty huge set ! maybe it'll be a $200 set with several buildings in a row? kwik-e-mart + androids dungeon? if we can get a criminal (lego loves criminals!) if we get willie, we gotta have skinner right?

a kwik-e-mart is kinda a weird choice IMO. And slightly less than $200? You think it'd be $75-100 for a good sized one. I'd rather get the comic book store, or a classroom, or moe's but I guess they'll never do a Moe's. I hope he's a CMF though, he's in every episode! or even a set with marge's car, or the treehouse (although i am a fan of my own moc)

I was going for the station wagon, but with the red, I could probably make a few mods (shorter hood etc) and turn that thing into the Canyonnnnnnnnnnnerooooooo --- as for the height of the tree i've played around with it a good deal... this is the shortest it has been but it wouldn't be hard to make it shorter. not sure how accurate the height is and placement (the backyard seems to change as they need it in the show) thanks for the comments!

So I love the Simpsons and bought the house immediately when it came out, and off and on I've been working on some MOCs to complete the set. Thought I'd share my progress! The front of the house Backyard Overhead shot I designed the fence so that only a 2 stud corner connects to the house itself, you can just slide the baseplate off once that is disconnected. So the house still opens up to about 90 degrees for playability. I removed the connection between the garage and house so that it can still open up without removing the garage. Just switched some bricks around. And here is a detail of Marge's car. I used red because I don't have a lot of orange. Not sure what is up with the old baseplate on the roof I'll have to try and clean it more. Any thoughts/feedback appreciated!!! This is the first real MOC I've made that wasn't just combining sets. I might buy some cheese slopes for the fence to make it more like a picket fence, but I'll have to price that out.

Anyone holding out hope they're just waiting to announce the new wave? ::fingers crossed:: I was in a dark period in 2012, so I missed the first wave of stuff. I found Helm's Deep at retail at the bottom of a shelf, but I just want the chance to get more urk-hai at a reasonable price. they are so expensive now!

ah ha! i had set it up previously using the IR receiver from the rock crawler and the remote that it came with. I'll pick up the train remote, but I guess there is no way to have it on a simple on off with a set lower speed? http://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Power-Functions-IR-Remote-Control-8885 is what i was using. this makes so much more sense... thanks a lot!

it seemed to be mostly in the curves it was failing. i had a basic oval shape, and the track was on a hardwood floor not on baseplates or anything to like that... i'll try and get a picture when i'm at home. it would go around a few times, and keep getting faster and eventually it would just fall off. maybe my battery box car was just too top heavy or i didn't have enough weight on the engine itself? it was a pretty barebones "proof of concept" train so that might also be part of the problem... i'm using this motor http://shop.lego.com/en-US/LEGO-Power-Functions-Train-Motor-88002 i had it setup with a simple single battery box with the 6 AA with just the on/off switch to control it..

So in the past year or so I've fully embraced being an AFOL and dug out my old childhood train set http://brickset.com/sets/7722-1/Steam-Cargo-Train-Set I have a complete loop of the old style track but want to use a new engine. I picked one up and it seems to have trouble staying on the track with my test train. I have the magnet train car joiners and am using the old wheels for the cars from the original set. Does anyone else do this and have any advice? Maybe I should just try and get the old motor working? My goal is to make a Christmas Train MOC for around the tree.

well judging by the success of their previous action figures lines http://www.worldofspringfield.com/Check_List.html with 16 series, i think the chances are decent of simpsons #2. the episode in lego was a big success, and they are still the #1 selling item on shop @ home in the US, but prolly cos they're so cheap...

really really hoping this is true. will almost make up for no more LOTR... i want a moe and a smithers and comic book guy etc etc. they could easily do more simpsons CMF for years to come. im doubtful on more sets, but you can always just MOC them up, the minifigs are more important than sets IMO...
