I remember, I commented on that. And I agree. I liked that to, especially in the change from the Toa Nuva, to the Toa Metru. And I liked the story up till 2008, I just found it hard to follow. I also liked aspects of the Bara Magna saga, but that to me felt like a vast epic who's potential was very underutilized in my opinion. The ending was terrible but I consider that Lego's fault, not so much Greg's. I wouldn't mind see that come back to but streemline things and have a meeting and go "is this an absurd idea?" Ask those questions. Ground things in a more believable sense of reality and physics. I want to see a new bionicle universe that's deep and rich like the old one was, but it feels like a real world, a reality we're looking into, not this absurd nonsense that they're all living in a big rockem sockem robot and that it woke up and they all moved to a big newly form planet that got smashed back together and miraculously between a big giant robot fight and these planets getting smashed back together millions of people didn't die in the process. :/ I know its fantasy, but we can still have it rooted in realism and logic.

Agreed. I want a reboot as well. I thought the story was hard to follow by 08. I never really understood it to be honest.

Agreed, how about Matadorks? Definitely a term centered around the "Mata" prefix. Yeah but that was before VBBN really took over as the moderator, and it wasn't really to do with EB itself, Hindsight is always 20/20. After talking to him about it I'm over it. He's the moderator of this subform, as it should be. Also this is still the only place to have a decent informed discussion about Bionicle or any constraction line. So I'll keep a low profile and not make any waves. I just wanna tune in and discuss bionicle.

Oh I see. Thanks for that. Definitely seems like the mentality there. Pitiful. Oh well I'm happy to get new more detailed more "bionicley" looking parts in my CCBS. I like mixtures. peanut butter cups are my favorite, I like having a little chocolate in my peanut butter. And in this case I want Bionicle mixed in with my HF. Going just off the new parts designs and looks, this is exactly what I've been wanting for a while. Something that works like HF, but visually looks more in depth and textured like bionicle. I am one happy chappy based on the new parts and recolors we're getting. <3 I know, but I'd still love to be able to pay my money, and the day they're available they get shipped to my door step and I don't have to worry about it, just fire and forget, like video game preorders. Also, my buddy does preorders all the time and a lot of times he ends up getting his order as early as a full week before the item comes out. Which I think is cool. I think Lego should seriously considered doing some kind of preorder beta. Its pretty much guaranteed money that they could also use as preliminary sales. They could offer it only to VIP members and run it on a limited basis for the FOLs out there who'd bother with a preorder of lego in the first place. It works for both the video game, movie, and comic book/collectable industry, why not lego?

I'm sorry I don't get that reference. What's a Genwunner? :PKeeping on topic(sorta) I SO wish Lego did preorders. I'd plop down my money right now. I'm definitely saving a paycheck to get these in one gulp. Even if Pohatu looks like a turd, and Kopaka looks just terrible(cept for his mask that's epic and I love it), and lets not forget Mr.Boobface. I'm still getting em all. I want to support the theme and vote with my wallet. So for the first time ever(and because for a change I can) I'm gonna buy the whole wave in one order. It must be nice for you guys who do that regularly. Must be like your own personal little christmas. XD

Also, has anyone taken these images and tried to clean the stamp up just a bit? I know it can't be removed, but maybe made a little clearer? What source is everyone looking at? Just wanna make sure I'm viewing the same one's as everyone else.

I stopped going to the TTV forums, mostly for the same reason, but also because generally the discussions there suck.*the difference between EB and TTV* EB-*well thought out informed discussion by avid builders and fans* TTV-HYPE-HYPE HYPE HYPY HYPE TRAIN WOOOOHOOOOOOO* and a lot of nonsense discussion based on nothing really. Even the admins aren't really adding much or moderating the discussion thread. Its such a shame such a beautifully executed site is full of morons. Thanks VBBN and everyone else for making this the best thread to discuss Bionicle 2015. :)

I'm not displacing a whole drawer's worth of parts just for "bionicle 2.0." Its mostly hero Factory parts anyways. In all seriousness though, what will you guys be doing? Adding to previous bionicle assortments or to Hero Factory? I've already got my masks, heads, weapons, body parts and other misc bionicle elements sorted. HF has grown to where I have Bones and structural elements and everything else sorted into their own drawers. ANd it almost requires I sort it further. How are you going to be sorting your new Bionicle elements?

Man I don't even know where to start. So many people have mentioned everything. My initial impressions are good. But yeah Kopaka's legs look asinine, and I think Pohatu looks like something that would crawl out of your toilet? Trans yellow, and brown? Pohatu, mater of the potty. XD ANd is that silver or white on him? I can't tell.

The fact that the image is a prototype wasn't the only reason I think speculating on it is a waste of time, its also because its not a very good quality image. Its grainy and blurry, so what we're actually looking at is a bit of a mystery. What ever it is they decide to do, its more parts for us in our Boxes of HF, or its more Sets on a shelf. Though this brings up an interesting dilemma I'll have with my sorting...do the new parts go in the bionicle drawer, or the HF one? :O

Why are we still speculating based on that one image? its a prototype for all we know the final colors could be drastically different. Look how different the gold mask is. This is kinda pointless you guys. I know we've got nothing else to go on but speculation based on one grainy blurry photo of a standee is pretty futile. I think we could better fill our time between now and the reveal discussing things we'd like to see in the theme in years/waves to come. That discussion was much more interesting to IMO.

October 9th, unless we get leaks sooner than that. Seeing Bionicle 2015 unveiled(if its what's going to be at ComicCon) will make one hell of a birthday Present. *giggles with excitement* But September is dragging by. HURRY UP AND GO AWAY SEPTEMBER! We want our bonkle unveiling! The speculation behind what themes it could be is Bionicle(top contender even amongst Non-constraction fans), Top Gear, Elves, and Jurassic World. My money is on JW if it's not Bionicle. its a big enough deal since it's a new IP tied into a movie meaning lots of money on both party's sides involved.

I'm glad to see the pricing is more in line with what we already are used to with HF. Though does it seem like we're getting the whole year's worth in one wave? I wonder with all these sets if they will be broken up into waves, or if we get everything all at once for the year. That would suck cause then there'd be nothing to look forward to for the rest of the year. :(

Story wise. I'd like to see them simply try again really. Go back over the story and learn from the mistakes of the previous try. Keep things a little simpler, plan out your story arc well in advance like Avatar(Hey look a non MLP comparison), and not just make it up as you're going along like Greg did. I really hope we get to see Metru Nui again because that was my favorite part to. And just because its established doesn't mean it can't go back to the primative feel like Chro suggested. Just look at Voya Nui, it was sort of industrialized, but also still somewhat premitive. And I really hope they don't do that whole "Universe inside of Mata Nui" thing again either, that was a load of rubbish. I hope the amount of absurd ideas like that are done away with.

Agreed I never liked that these were considered "elements" and not just sub powers. But then again they stretched out Earth to be earth and stone, and water to be water and ice, so its not like they're following traditional elements. But never cared for all these "Toa of this that and the other" that came along later. It made things way more convoluted and confusing in my opinion. I say good riddance to it all. Give us our straight 6 elements, light and shadow(if they wanna bother) and leave it at that. Those other abilities I think are fine, but they should be sub powers, that way the whole tribe thing doesn't get so confusing.

That's a good point. That means the fact that their home was destroyed and taken over by the vhisorak was all that much more poignant. They went back to their home, to find it in ruins, then get captured and turned into mutated freaks. Talk about a bad day. I I'm with you guys on this to. I loved metru Nui and how it was thriving with life. it was the perfect place for someone to weave in their character. I just wish they had shown that more toa came through there.

Sadly, the one year where I really liked the function was the final year the toa had them, the toa Hordika. If both arms had the same thing I woulda loved that. It had the gear functionality without messing up poseability. It had the best of both worlds. In fact that whole year's functions did I think.

I completely agree, the comic art would be great to see in actual Bionicle Comics. Though with lego canceling the club magazine to anyone over 12 that'll make things a little tricky for us to get, The bags are a mixed bag(pun intended) on one hand yes I fit all mine into a single Box(My Jet Rocka box to be exact) but on the other hand big, long, then weapons tend to get bent. I got a Thornraxx that had the wings bent in a U shape. I had to heat them up over my stove to get them back to being straight. My Dragon Butt's wing blades were bent to but not nearly as bad. So I think the bags are good as long as they don't cram too much in them. If they are careful about what goes in them I think they're great. I like the compactness of them. I also like the way the new boxes are made to. Just cut the tape and voala, opened. That's so much nicer than the old ones where you had the punches and ripped the box open. Nice job lego redesigning your packaging.

I completely agree. We've gleamed everything we can from what we've got. As for what Lego reveals I honestly don't care, just as long as they make it official and that information can start being released. But knowing them we'll at least get some images of stuff. Sets on the floor would be sweet to, but I'd be happy with just images, a confirmation and maybe a little info on how it'll work story wise. (hope someone at lego's taking notes). :D

What if lego pulls the "3 dollars more" stunt like they did with the Chima Ultrabuilds? They have much of the same part counts as HF but they're a few bucks more. That's probably why it looks like my TRU Still has a full stock of them. Shelf warmers indeed. Hope lego doesn't pull that stunt with Bionicle cause its a familiar popular theme. :(

That would make a lot of sense. "Tada we did what we wanted, okay bye." Then the whole Metru Nui thing was a way to slap on a continuation. They figured it out in time for the movie because that sets up the next arc and mentions them going back to their home. So what does that mean?

Oh wow, interesting. Thanks. Is it just the BZP guys that got tickets like this, did people from here or anywhere else get tickets? If not then its definitely Bionicle. Why else would they give em to just the BZP guys? Those lucky dogs. >.<

Favorite Bionicle (or any constraction figure) Titan?
SneakySqeaky replied to TheGreatSpirit's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Oh this is a really tough one for me. So many great builds and Most of them mentioned here. I'm going to go with Takanuva 2008 as well because he had great articulation and as a MOCer that's what I value most out of figure builds like these. He also still manages to look badass to. I do wanna give an honorable mention to though. That was a really creative build and a great source of cool parts).
