If two gems are added to a weapon and both gems cause double damage to the same type of creature does the damage increase to 4X against that creature? For example A weapon has both topaz and sapphire merged with it, they each cause double damage to flying. Does it become 4X damage against flying?

With pouches full gear from his most recent quest Vindsval returns to the Marketplace. He goes first to Anwyl's Smithy. Hello Good Smith, I would like to sell you a pair of weapons. First My Montain Hammer (WP:3) For 15 gold And second a Halberd(WP:5; suitable for barbarians, knights, dragoons and skirmishers.) for 25 Gold (207 +15 +25 = 247) Next he visits Fabians stall Hello Sir. I am in Possession of the Light Armor (SP3 suitable for Knights and Clerics) I see that you do not have any in stock, would you be willing to purchase it from me for say, 60 Gold Pieces?

Man everything I type in here comes out wrong. I wasn't begging I was asking a character I just finished a quest with for a loan. I had been planning it out with him via PM, then the situation changed. I feel like I came out pretty dang good from my first quest. Just had a plan to make a weapon with a little more punch for the next round.
-
It would appear not. I would be happy to count him among mine. Now if you would all excuse me, I have some planning a to take care of and a trip to the market to take.
-
I planned on selling most of the excess stuff off. I did not expect the generosity of strangers.
-
I would be honored to accompany you to the Fields. I am told there is much opportunity for wealth and growth hidden within its boarders. When do we depart? VINDSVAL SIGNS UP FOR THE FIELDS OF GLORY
-
Vindsval is struck nearly dumb by the generosity of the strangers here. Than...Thank you. If ever you are in need you have but to ask. May I have your name?

Vindsval clears his throat, and looks to CArvenhall, his gaze slightly downcast as if embarrassed. Carvenhall, It shames me slightly to say this, but as you saw my poor hammer was more than lacking as an offensive weapon. Unfortunately it is far more useful as a tool of crafting than as a tool of war. Would you perhaps find it acceptable to lend me a sum of gold in order for me to better equip myself in my next adventure? I would certainly be willing to pay you back in kind at my next opportunity. On my honor, I pay my debts. Would 100 gold be too obscene a sum?

Stuck in the middle of this obviously awkward situation he doesn't quite know what to say. He pulls his hand back from the dwarf and looks from person to person at the table. He clears his throat. Umm yes, Carvenhall, you are quite welcome. It would seem you have a great deal of catching up to do with your fellows. I will visit the marketplace. Perhaps we can speak more when I return.

The Half Giant Chuckles deep in his chest, apparently used to the dwarves reaction. Well met Child of the Mountain. The who is easily enough answered. I am Vindsval, called the Half-Born. Warrior Priest of the Wanderer. He holds a massive hand out to the startled dwarf. Who might I be addressing? To meet a friend of Carvenhall is a boon indeed.

The Hall doors swing open with a bang and Vindsval ducks through. He walks towards the center of the room, his footsteps rattling glasses and knocking dust from the rafters. He scans left and right, looking for someone. CARVENHALL, where are you my friend? He looks up and sees Carvenhall sitting alone at a massive table full of tiny drinks. He makes his way to the stairs and goes up gingerly. He walks to the table and drops a Tricorn Hat on the table. You left that on the ship, as grateful as I would be to have it I am sure you want it back.

Vindsval lowers Luke from from his shoulder, gives the boy a massive bear hug, and places him on the ground at William's feet. I will miss you small one, I count myself fortunate for having met you. Keep the Wanderer close to your heart . Perhaps when you are older we will meet again. Goodbye Everyone, May you all prosper and May the Wanderer mark your path. With that Vindsval follows Carvenhall to the shipyard and joins him on his trip back to the mainland

I can see both sides of it. As a level 1 character a power boost would have been very helpful, but I think I would add it to health or ether as well once I got a character going.
-
It was the "under Anwyl" part I was questioning.

Vindsval pulls another one of his devining rods from a pouch and passes it over all of the remaining artefacts. He then chooses 4 more and tosses them onto the ground. He kneels and reads the runes as they lay accross one another. Indeed, wise advice. He picks up his rune sticks, returns them to his pouch and goes back to the artefacts. He reaches down and Picks up the Tailored Overcoat. This coat has great elemental power. The way you use your bow has inspired me Carvenhall. This jacket may not benefit me as it currently is, but I believe with the right assistance in the marketplace it will benefit me greatly later.

Thank you sir.

If you get an artefact with immunity effects, can those gems be extracted? Or does that only apply to gems the character added to an item?
-
Vindsval scratches his double pointed chin and thinks Carvenhal's proposal over for a moment. It is true that the rest of these items would be of limited effectiveness for you, wouldn't they my friend? It would be poor form in the Eyes of The Wanderer to allow the fist of our quest to be so short shrifted. I am certain we can reach an arrangement. Take these shoes with my heartfelt thanks for all you have done for us this quest. I do not doubt our fortunes would have been much darker without you. Vindsval hands the Wonky Shoes to Carvenhall. Now to re-examine my own options. What might you suggest?
-
Bobby, I am not certain if I will ever learn to understand the language that you speak. Perhaps when this is done we too shall share a flagon, and discuss our native tongues.
-
Vindsval looks over the assortment of items, and then down at his enormous bare feet. Those Wonky Shoes seem to me to be just the thing. He reaches out and pics up the over sized, odd looking footwear. After he places them in his pouches he reaches out and takes the pouch of gold William offers. We did visit the orchard My Dear. I am afraid to tell you that we found nothing pleasant. OOC: Vindsvals health should be 13 and ether 14 I think Health: 13/13 (9+4 raised levels) Ether: 14/14 (5+4 raised levels+5) Probably doesn't matter all that much at the moment, but I just wanted to check and make sure I was tallying things right.

Standing tall in his new threads, Luke sitting on his shoulder, Vindsval walks over to the cluster of villagers and extends a hand to William. Sir, I apologize for bringing the fight to your doorstep, but you must understand I had to try to solve this peacefully. Regardless of that, I assume that the end result is satisfactory and that you consider your contract with the Guild Fulfilled?
-
Indeed, I believe this was yours. Vindsval hands the Pheonix Essence he borrowed from Carvenhall back to the beastman.

Vindsval takes the robes and gem from Carvenhall. Thank you my friend, I will use these items as wisely as I can. I can feel great potential within them. He places the Gem in one of his pounches and lays the robes over a nearby fencerail. With the same care and dexterity he used to put them on his harness he Removes the Armor of Light, puts it away in his pack. He then Equips the Robes of the ArchMagi, but on him it is more of a Tunic of the Arch Magi. His eyes flare white for a moment as the robes settle on his shoulder. Yes, great potential indeed.
