  1. For you... please pick up the reference
  2. Well making it obscure would make finding it all the more interesting, imo The fact that they're making a big deal about this reveal/unveil shows me that perhaps they may have put in quite a bit of effort into this "rebirth" of a beloved series
  3. Sorry about that Yeah, I think pohatu's piece count is either wrong, or that the Stone Protector's weapon has many pieces to it.
  4. Everyone in the TTV video's comments seems to have an idea that the fact there aren't many new pieces means that Bionicle 2015 will be irredeemable garbage. And they casually ignore the huge "PRELIMINARY" in the photo. While I realise that they easily could remain the same when they ship next year, I have my doubts that they will because the CGI looks quite rough and most of the boxes lack backdrops, It could be that these are slightly older than the Shelf Display.
  5. Yeah, I quite like TTV but the people on the boards are just... interesting. It seems to be a place where all the Genwunners have flocked to.
  6. If they don't fix his look, I'm forever going to refer to LOSS as "Mr Boobface"
  7. You guys think you have it hard? Try buying LEGO in New Zealand, the inflation is outrageous! When I bought the Jaw Beast vs. Stormer and Stormer Freeze Machine, it cost $45 to buy them both.
  8. If they make a Bionicle game, everyone is voiced by Nolan North, even Gali.
  9. I'd like it if Pohatu was voiced by the guy who voices Sniper in Team Fortress 2 (John Patrick Lowrie), seeing as he's Australian now
  10. I'm certainly hoping that they are indeed masks this time To people who say the discovery that Gatanui made is "technically hacking", I have one thing to say: No. This is hacking as much as leaving your facebook logged in while your mate is over and they make a status that says "I smell like poop xD". AKA, it's not hacking at all
  11. I get the feeling that they'll probably have new head pieces, the parts that stick out at the bottom make me uncomfortable.
  12. Goddammit, Americans and your weird date formats!
  13. I did it on the specific page where the swf file is, aka here
  14. The command/function I used was "javascript:alert(document.lastModified)"
  15. Fun fact for you guys, according to a fun little javascript function I did on the page where the mask is found, the page was added/last modified on the 9th of august 2014. Meaning it's been sitting there unnoticed for a whole month!
  16. I seriously doubt that, as much as I want it. The initial HF wave was made with a system that lacked a lot of articulation, aka the Bionicle Stars build system. If these sets were to use CCBS they would be far more poseable than the HF 1.0 sets, and also have a higher piece count as a result.
  17. No, it wasn't so much the fact that they used Maori words at all, it's that they misused Maori words in some cases (character name changes were made for story reasons to make the changing of words fit better)
  18. These are far cheaper than I expected, I'll be honest. Usually it's expensive as hell.
  19. Something I'd personally like to see would be a shadow toa wave, like how when the toa mata went to fight teridax, they had to battle shadow versions of themselves.
  20. If realism is the effect you want, I think having them with string tied to the back of the head would be more accurate than on the front of the face, and certainly more so than a pin on the top of the head. However, I would much prefer if they went with the classic method of having the mask be pinned to the front of the face. As for proportions, I didn't really think it mattered all that much, it's not as if they're human or anything, even though I do like both proportions of the inika builds and of the CCBS humanoid build.
  21. More like "a more accurate MOC-up" :^) Anyway, that is a very nice moc and definitely resembles the Tahu in the leak.
  22. My very first (complete) set was Tehutti and later Toa Whenua, so I'm definitely getting earth defender and onua first, and later maybe Tahu and Gali
  23. Yeah, that definitely looks to be inspired by some sort of Maori/Polynesian tattoo design of sorts, however, this image is still relatively blurry so I can't be 100% on that. Something I'd really like to see in Bionicle 2015 is having them adapt many of the Maori aspects again (seeing as I am maori myself), but I find it unlikely, and if they did, someone would be bound to take issue with it yet again.
