  1. OoC: Thanks for having me, I am excited to see what happens! My stats look good but it should be 30 Gold. I forgot to update my Gold count when I bought the Pugilist's Gloves. Addok-Zo arrives at the location but appears rather anxious. He does not like the thought be being so exposed. He pulls out his hand cannon and thoroughly looks around him, making sure no one is going to attack him while he waits for the others.
  2. Addok-Zo gathers his few belongings and exits the hall to begin his quest.
  3. "So your 'transformation' so to say was unintended? That artifact must have been something else, never heard of such a thing able that can permanently change people." "Heh, I know how you feel on that. My people hardly leave 'The Divide' but usually its never. We prefer isolation but I am among the few who left our homeland but the only one to join Heroica." "The Divide is a large village built inside a canyon and carved into it. Due to my people's isolationism, there are many fortifications around the place to keep outsiders out but to also protect everyone inside. As far as I can remember, there are three houses that control the divide but I haven't been there in years. I doubt it changed though. Each house controls a provision, the three being food, water, and salvage. We all need to eat and there are various ways to obtain it. Apart from farming, stealing from caravans and traders or other villages is another. Water is the main thing us Wakorians cherish. It keeps you alive and it is a rare commodity in Abra, especially during the droughts. Again, we have special ways to get it, especially extracting it from the ground. And salvage, that is the basis for all of our fortifications and equipment. Without it, we might as well use stone tools. There are plenty of wrecks and scrap in the deserts we can salvage from. Though it may have been lost, it shouldn't go to waste." "That's uhhh... quite the story. Well hey, at least they didn't plot to kill you and succeed. Now you must be making a difference in the world, no?"
  4. "I suppose that's the price of greed, bummer. But I know how it feels... to be different." He coughs. "Fenarians you say? Interesting. Can't say I met one until now." He places his right arm over his chest with his left arm to his side and feet together. "Your honesty baffles me... to say the least. I'm just not used to someone being so open about themselves. That's not the way of my people nor my past employers. I suppose you should know a bit about me." "My name is Addok-Zo Obbex and this ugly mug you see before you is known as a Wakorian. I don't know where Spesialia is but my homeland is Abra. It's a vast desert wasteland but there are many treasures to be found there if the searing sand storms don't kill ya. Old bits and pieces to be salvaged and reused, especially the day when the mechanical-men attacked. Killed a lot of us warriors that day. That was many years ago before I became a freelancer but we all remember. My home village is known as 'The Divide' in the common tongue. If you'd like to know more, I'd be willing to talk about it more." "I'm all ears."
  5. OoC: Mencot, it's Addok-Zo, not Addock-Zo.
  6. While pacing around the hall, Addok-Zo looks at the quest board again to collect more information regarding the mission he could be selected for. Though not as intelligent as some of the others in the hall, it was not hard for him to figure out the task was an escort mission, he grinned and thought to himself, <Just like the old days.> He could not help but overhear the cleric speak but was rather intrigued to hear him say that he was an ex-cleric. So, he somewhat interrupts rudely but does not pay any attention to that. "I don't believe I've encountered someone with the likes of you. You speak like an elf... sort of look like one. Curious. Ehhh, whatever... anyway, an ex-cleric? How does that work? Aren't you supposed to be like some sort of priest or something?"
  7. Addok-Zo signs up for Quest #154.
  8. Since I did not link certain things on the pages I made, such as linking Addok-Zo Obbex on the characters list, it does not conflict with my entries. I was not sure how to do certain things but I feel confident in what I have done.
  9. "Because actions speak louder than words. Killing solves problems... permanently. And it is far more easier to accomplish. Talking just buys you time, eventually you'll have to shed blood."
  10. It only doubles the SP from 2 to 4 specifically for that item if the wearer is a Star Elf. So in your case, it would just be SP:2. EDIT: Forgot, if you use a bright polish, it's essentially the same thing except the stats would be 3 or 6 I'd imagine. It wouldn't make sense if you used say four bright polishes on it and go from SP:6 to SP:4 if you are a Star Elf.
  11. Noticing that the man with a mouth-for-a-torso pointing in his general vicinity, Addok-Zo goes to listen to his conversation. He chuckles. "Hate is a good motivation to kill, besides gold, of course. Unless you're one of those crazies who kills for the fun of it then hmph, bravo to you. But I will give you credit where it's do - keeping a clear and concentrated mind makes for a deadly killer." He chuckles again. "And about before, just realize that I am not how you say 'courteous.' I never heard of a polite warrior so I don't consider myself to be one. But I will remain open-minded towards you and others and treat you all fairly... for now." He extends his hand out for a handshake. "Fair?"
  12. Addok-Zo sells the Fighting Boots he won from the anniversary lottery for 100 Gold -- (10 + 100 = 110) He then buys a pair of Pugilist’s Gloves for 80 Gold -- (110 - 80 = 30)
  13. Addok-Zo signs up for the Fields of Glory. OoC: I know the FoG is not meant for Level 1's but some action is in desperate need.
  14. I'm still getting used to the Wiki but does anyone know how to add other "categories" or whatever they are like on the Polkungs page where it says "Appearance" and goes on about that? I can't seem to figure it out.
  15. "Maybe, I dunno. I think it's something far more... sinister." Addok-Zo examines the drawing. "There were some that looked similar to that. I mostly remember the ones that looked like people but with alloy skin but they weren't as hostile compared to the thinner and bulkier mechanical-men. The slimmer ones were fast and agile, shot balls of fire at us. The larger ones were slow and tougher, easily crushed other warriors." OoC: Sorry for the late response, was with family yesterday and I am sore from the tattoo I got a few days ago.
  16. After years of living in what he believed to be the truth, Addok-Zo finds truth and conviction in the figure's speech. "Agreed." He lets loose his arm across his chest again as a sign of respect.
  17. "What they lack in brawn, they make up in brains. They are smart and they help us out with anything that is... complicated. So in return, we protect them. But the mechanical-men are the worst plague we've ever seen in Abra. The elongated droughts and sandstorms are nothing compared to them. They just kill-kill-kill, with no motive." "Try living in the desert for over a hundred years, you'll eventually spoil." Addok-Zo chuckles. Intrigued by this information, Addok-Zo takes a couple of seconds to soak it all in. "I... never thought of it that way. Nearby the mechanical-men was an airship. We didn't find a crew, at least I don't think. Maybe sky-people brought them here, I dunno. If that's the case, I dunno what to believe anymore."
  18. Really enjoying with what is going on in the hall, it's absolute anarchy at this point. I hope I'm not getting too carried away with the whole self-righteous former pirate type of character.
  19. Addok-Zo begins to laugh. "Son?" His laughter grows even greater. "I'm 135 years old and you're what, like 20?" He laughs again. "I see, you're trying to act all big and bad in front of your friends. Understandable. I'll show you bad." He snarls. "We come from two different places, miss."
  20. "Respect is earned, not given out." Addok-Zo says. "Besides, you don't scare me, boy."
  21. Addok-Zo stands up and gets in the black knight's face. "No."
  22. Noticing that Zannaqim is not very fluent with the common-tongue, Addok-Zo does his best to respond. "From where I'm from, there are only us - Wakorians - and them strange insect people, Locustoids... I think that's what they are called. Nonetheless, they are a respectable race. Anyways, one day there was a large flying ship that crashed. Me and some of my fellow warriors went to go see what the thing was and take any salvage we could get. Most of the passengers were dead except for... the mechanical-men. There were maybe a few dozen of them, they killed most of us. Me and a few others survived." He remains quiet for a few brief seconds and points to his armor. "This used to be one of those mechanical men. From my understanding, humans are responsible for their creation." Addok-Zo's scowl deepens with insult. "Tone? This is my normal tone. Sorry if I don't bare the gently upbeat tone as you." Surprised by her attitude, Addok-Zo responds. "Here I thought everyone was a goody-goody. You've got spunk, I like that. It's... respectable." He crosses his right forearm and fist over his chest and slightly bows in respect. "I think we'll get along just fine." He chuckles.
  23. Addok-Zo scans back to see who was talking. He notices the knight looking at him. However, he was unsure whether she was a human or an elf with her helmet on. "Not you... directly." His tone was unsettling, as usual, but he managed to let out a smile just as unnerving as his tone, his nasty teeth being somewhat visible. Unhappy, Addok-Zo snaps back. "Your stench ain't serving you well." Addok-Zo bursts out into a short laughter. "Wakorians? I've never heard of any other Wakorian leaving home to become a member of Heroica. If you know of any, please, enlighten me."
  24. Overcome by confusion, Addok-Zo attempts to clarify what he said. "I was referring to the northern bloke... the one who speaks like an idiot." He scowls back at the northern man for a few seconds. "How rude of me, my name is Addok-Zo, I'm new here too. It's nice to see someone who isn't a human or an elf around here." He looks at the female elf. "No offense."
