Seems that way. Either SY are following TLGs lead and trying to make us buy sets we don't want or they're trying to get one-up on brands like Lepin who are flooding straight Lego copies.

I have two AE accounts and often when one says 'sold out' the other works! It's AE speak for "f**k off we don't want your custom". I've just ordered this set fine. Now to see whether they send it...

You underestimate their profit margins. Here in the UK Lego is 50% more expensive than the USA and I don't think the whole US market is a loss leader.

WARNING: Not bootleg and UK specific. I know a lot of us on here buy Lego Superheroes too, so heads up that Argos have their 3for2 offer on all toys at the moment. Just ordered 6 recent sets (Spidey bridge, Killer Croc, Scarecrow, Ra's, Doc Ock and Civil War airport). Thank god for 6 months interest free credit. Nobody accuse me of not supporting TLG!!!

But if you look when you order, it clearly says "seller guarantees to deliver in X days or full refund". Of course, AE never refund you and sellers will just extend delivery time. It's like a pizza, if it's late you don't pay.

I'm always one for trying to save money online. The other day I installed the Topcashback browser add-on which pops up and reminds me when sites offer cashback. Went to aliexpress this morning and the darn thing pops up! Who'd of thought that after all the money I've spent on AE I could have been getting cashback. Did some digging and, for UK people, Quidco offers the best rate of 7.5%! Below is my link. Yes it is an affiliate one, so I hope I'm not breaking any rules, but it's set so the referrer reward is split 50/50 so everybody gains.:) (non afiliate link for anyone who would prefer it: Quidco) Topcashback in the US offers 7%. Not sure if there is anything better there or what's available elsewhere in the world. This may just take the sting out of the pound's crash.

Be nice if they added extra body parts so you could make a 9th figure, like they do with some of the action figures lines. I'd be a good way to release figures that wouldn't necessarily sell well on their own merit.

This arrived today. Managed to overtake all the other figures that I'm still waiting on.

It's such a pain. So annoying when you end up having to buy a whole new wave because of one missing fig. I never, ever cancel a dispute. I think once you've done that you can't reopen it. Amazes me how over-friendly a lot of the emails and messages you get from sellers, who then fail miserably with the actual delivery. If the Chinese could actually get their customer service act together they'd rule the world.

I had a discussion with the VERO people after I had some taken down. You can't use the term Lego even to clarify that it isn't Lego! Not sure of the legal basis for that, but you can't argue with eBay. Remember that the minifigure design is trademarked and any designs based on the games (which a lot are) are copyright too, whether or not Lego actually make that figure. You won't win. You could always try eBid? If it's that or nothing, it may be worth a try.

I bought the little jeep set, just to get the villain (even though it looks nothing like a real character). It's cool that they went Mega Bloks style for the Spidey head. The bricks stank though and needed lots of airing.

Mine arrived two days ago and promptly disappeared. I need to get them back from my son to take a look at them!

M Brand. These came out a while back.

I made a custom Reverse Flash for my son by painting a red Flash cowl with yellow acrylic paint to go with the Kid Flash figure. Lots of lacquer (I used floor polish - a tip from painting slot cars) and it was fine to play with.

There's this too, but I've yet to see them on AE.
