I'm not really experienced with building mounts, plus I don't have the biggest collection of parts, but I might take a shot at it. First things first though, he needs an actual name

Thanks! Your competition entries are amazing btw

So truth be told, I'm not much of a MOCer. I don't usually take apart my sets for that matter. However, once the golden mask contest was announced, I decided to re-familiarize myself with MOCing so I could start working on an entry. I suppose its kinda like "practice" building. Anyways, with that out of the way, here is the first MOC I've made in a very, very long time: Meet No Name: Why is he called No Name? Well, because I haven't made a backstory and I couldn't think of a name, so there you go Really what I was trying to do was build an MOC with waist articulation. I was semi-successful (its more like abdomen articulation really, and it can't really swivel, however it can move side to side a bit) Shot of the back (forgive the lighting, I used an extremely unprofessional setup). I believe the shoddy lighting makes it look worse than it does IRL, but that might just be me. He basically uses a smaller version of the Stormer XL shoulders to keep them in place. Shot of what's behind the cloak. Originally this guy didn't have the cape on him (I took a bit of inspiration from Zenerius on that one ), so his back is pretty much completely armored. (dem calves tho) (just an extra shot I took. Note the aforementioned unprofessional setup) Apart from the arms, I though he turned out alright, but please feel free to provide constructive criticism (it's my first MOC in a long time, so it's understandably going to be filled to the brim with flaws). Thanks in advance! (go to https://www.flickr.c...s/94700267@N05/ for hi-res photos)

EDIT: Please delete this, for some reason this was randomly created while I was typing the first sentences in my MOC topic

Remember that the Toa consider each other, and call each other, brother and sister... so much for shipping them, eh?

Kinda an odd question, but do the masks fit into the axles on the side of a Glatorian head?

I went back and took a look at the masks from the NYCC images. Lewa's has really grown on me, I can definitely see the resemblance to the original. Gali's mask is eh but not bad. Onua's, Pohatu's, and Kopaka's masks are all great. Tahu's mask... I still don't like it. The prototype one was better IMO.

http://comicbook.com/2014/10/09/lego-bionicle-relaunch-announced-at-new-york-comic-con/ What appears to be Lego Shop descriptions in the slide show at the bottom... apparently the spiders are supposed to pop masks off (according to Kopaka's description).

I actually kinda hope this is the case. Either way I'm hyped, no matter how kiddy it ends up being.

Seeing all Throwbots and Roboriders sets in one picture makes me oddly happy. If only someone could upload a picture of every single Bionicle set together... Although I imagine it would be a bit harder to pull off.

What were your First and Last BIONICLE G1 Sets?
TheGreatSpirit replied to TheBrickPal's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Oh crap, forgot to mention my last set... I really can't remember, but I know it was one of the Stars, probably either Gresh, Takanuva, or Piraka (Nektann) -
I actually am glad we're getting a black recolor. I just hope he just doesn't end up being the weakest of the bunch.

Something of interest is that the skull spider that comes with Pohatu has a stinger. Huh I also noticed that Kopaka's shield spins... not sure what I think about that, but at least they are using a friction pin.

Perhaps Lewa will get wings from the axe heads and the 2 Brain Attack swords become his Nuva katanas? Actually it seems like his weapons are supposed to be a mix of his Mata and Nuva weapons, pretty cool if I say so myself.

They could have a sort of locking system, like some Chima and all HF Beast heads.
