Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
c0rnedfr0g replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I see that there are sellers on eBay and BrickLink that have entire, unopened boxes of CMFs for sale. How do these sellers go about acquiring these? Do they buy them direct from Lego? Do they get lucky and stumble into a TRU or Lego Store before the box has been opened for the public? I ask because I would be interested in purchasing an entire box of Disney CMFs, but am unsure of how to proceed.... ? Any help would be much appreciated, and I apologize in advance if this question is not appropriate.- 4,155 replies

Non-Purist Superhero Figures

Yes. And I used bits of scotch tape to protect the areas of printing that I wanted to remain intact. -

A-ha! Thanks! Indeed, you both are correct. Once I had removed both faces, I must've inadvertently rotated the head 90°. I agree in that it did feel like something was off, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Though, it does seem somewhat fitting that The Question minifig would have an air of mystery about him -

Thanks, everyone! I was also surprised at how well the figure turned out

Non-Purist The Question For the torso, I erased 1 button / button hole to make it appear more like a trench coat and less like a suit jacket. The legs also had some erasing done to match the torso. Finally, the entire face was removed from this head except for the cheekbones. Thanks for looking! -

The Ninjago theme has some great looking MK torsos... this one comes in blue, green, red, and grey for Sub Zero, Reptile, Ermac, and Smoke, respectively.

The orange hair on the Syndrome fig (upcoming Disney CMF line) would be perfect for Firestorm Use Flash's head and now we just need to think of a good torso....

I love the white eyes behind the mask! Really captures the expressiveness they had in the movie. Thanks! I'm pleased with how it turned out. Soon I will have to take a group shot of my entire Super Friends / JLA !! -

Non-Purist Atom The only non-purist element is the torso from the Wondrous Weightlifter fig, which had the yellow skin portions removed (mainly) via pencil eraser. Thanks for looking! -

Mirroring the popular thread in the History forum, I thought it could be fun to share our collections of superhero figs! I will start off with my TMNT Let's see what you've got! Mods: My apologies if this has already been done; if so, please merge/remove this thread. I skimmed the latest 3 pgs of topics and didn't seem to find anything like it.....

Non-Purist Batman Beyond The parts that are non-purist are the hips and the head. The head is just a plain black Lego head that has 2 strips of Lego-sticker-sheet-border cut and applied for the eyes and mouth. The hips had a tiny bit of printing removed. -

Using a pencil eraser, I carefully removed bits of printing from the face (hair, facial hair, mouth, crow's feet). A Sharpie was used to change the pupils from white to green. Finally, some white paint was used on the hair piece. For the other fig, the legs also had printing removed via pencil eraser to give it a more "leather hide with bead decorations" feel vs. the original "metal tech armor" feel. Everything else about the figs is purist. Thanks for looking! -

Many of us love to tinker with our minifigure parts to create new characters from the Marvel/DC/whatever universes. I'm hoping this thread will serve the community by allowing us to all share, comment on, and critique our unique creations. This is for Non-Purist Minifigs (those that contain elements that are non-Lego or have been modified by cutting, printing, erasing, painting, etc.). Non-Purist Ra's al Ghul

Who wants my Castle mini-figs?

It always amuses me when forum members feel the need to deputize themselves -
Looks great! I've been thinking of doing something similar. The only thing I would change is the way the American flag is hanging; from the angle presented in the bottom picture, the flag should be rotated 90 degrees clockwise.

Here are my 2 ancient armies: Greeks Persians I know these ancient armies aren't nearly as diverse as my Castle factions (as Castle is what I find more interesting), but I thought I'd share them with y'all nonetheless. Thanks for all the positive feedback previously!
