if you want to then go for it. make it your own, or more accurate. or if you just hate the new version of a set and figure you could do a better job modding an older one. just consider whether you want to sell it down the road

blasters are due for a refresh/update. lightsaber hilts should be updated as well in my opinion.

Hey all, I'm admittedly more a lurker than a poster here but I figured I'd chime in. mine had the droop issue and after I (literally just) applied the mod it corrected it. that being said, it was put together correctly as I'm rather "thorough" to say the least. I purchased mine upon release last year, which was one of the first thousand or so made as it has the sticker error (that's going by what a Lego rep told me on the phone) and was built immediately after purchase, for anyone wondering batch/set age/how long it's been on display anyway back to the point. for those who are interested for doing it, I can speak for its effectiveness in correcting what it's supposed to. for me, it seemed a little more scary than it really was. bare In mind I'm not gutsy with performing surgery on loved display pieces such as this. great mod, great set. cheers.

rebels provides a great opportunity for new sets we haven't seen before and a new worthwhile spin on things we have seen before

girlfriend got me the 2012? (don't know the set number, not the UCS one) x wing for Christmas 2 years ago and I was off to the races after that

I imagine UCS sand crawler owners would pay a pretty penny for a homestead to have their sand crawler parked in front of. on the topic of structural, a full size* UCS cantina play set? full size, detailed. incorporate the spring loaded shooters into the walls behind Han and greedo so fans can decide who shoots first, some sand troopers. the bar table scuffle between Luke and the outlaw

Yes Corydoras, I had those mixed up! thanks for pointing them out, my bad :) as for 7957 Sith Nightspeeder (2011) 75024 HH-87 Starhopper (2013) (Via Lobot) the night speeder was just an unnecessary set. it appeared once I do believe. I purchased it for the figures and nothing more and the amount of stickers applied to the small and uninteresting build is mind blowing. The star hopper however imo was a relatively fun build with relevant minifigures and the Rako hardeen was a nice addition, and I'm very fond of the speeder drop feature. might have a gross colour but design wise I think it's great!

id like to see a Lars homestead or Ben Kenobi hut. or even a Yoda hut (I missed the last one). something structural! ships get boring after a while ;)

7680 was a let down. but, empty space DOES have its benefits ;) 75077 is pretty bad imo. the centre droid body is fine but the legs give me tons of grief plus it's so big and awkward when putting on a shelf, it's currently sat on top of my mass storage bin. minifigures were alright though

I enjoy my 7965. I haven't had time to mod it or anything but the build itself is really fun. I'd suggest picking it up and you and your son could mod it to original trilogy Specifications inside and out, if you get it for a good price that is. or play the waiting game and roll the dice with the episode 7 falcon in which is obviously going to have some improvements and such given the time between them. or both? :) either way, you'll have a super fun project for you and your kid!

Grievous head that opens up and is a play set inside? I used to always see stuff like that when I was younger!
