  1. Already ordered mine. Wanted to wait for a nice xmas GWP but patience is not my strength :) Also did some modelling in studio and ordered some parts to build the missing wall. It will get also some LEDs so it will looks even brighter :) Some renders of the finished model https://www.flickr.com/photos/145728920@N06/50374542133/in/album-72157716089196452/
  2. I would say it could have been worse, but now I find it somehow interesting and might buy it as I really like the WV theme. But still it feels bitter sweet for me.
  3. Thank you :) Thank you, I like your Village also very much. I made them by myself - I uploaded also some pictures of the wires, leds .... to the foto stream so you can have a look. Yes it seams, it will be a tough task for you to find a place for new additions :) The place is also an issue for me, but I want still more and more of the WV buildings.
  4. Very soon is not soon enough :D But I'm afraid it won't fit my Winter Village though. I wish the came up with a more "real" type of building. Now we can sit and wait :) My Winter Village 2018 https://www.flickr.com/gp/184362663@N07/F9Y926
  5. @ AntiZombie - thank you :) Yes I'm doing the wiring on my own. I think that way I have more possibilities and it is cheaper, but it takes much longer :)
  6. yes, definitely it is worth to illuminate the city. Even though the soldering of tiny smd LEDs and resistors can be anything it makes a huge difference and the best thing is, you can admire your layout also in the night :) Maybe you can start with the street-lamps - is quite easy to add the LEDs and it looks so much better. For the connection of the parts you can consider to use e.g. the plate with contacts (4757 or 4755)
  7. Hi, it looks amazing. Well done! :) I would like to ask, what wires are you using and how are you doing the wiring in the buildings? Are you using also some connectors to connect the houses to the "mail line"? I'm using an awg 28 wire with outer diameter of 0,28mm. Thank you. I made something similar, but way smaller :D wiht my winter village. Next project will be a sea side with 31051 and 21310.
  8. I ordered all the "original" parts directly from LEGO and Bricklink. (9 Orders in total) It costs about 200€ but I hope I will enjoy the build anyway
  9. To be honest I'm a bit disappointed here. I really love the Winter Village series and was looking forward to get a new set this year like a small child :) . Even though the set is nice and has some nice features, from my point of view it doesn't fit the Winter Village very well :( I was expecting a small Winter Village town hall or a caffee house / restaurant..... simply a place where the minifis can have wonderful time in the Christmas mood :) Having said this I still might be getting one of these because I'm really so keen on expanding my Winter Village, but it is still a kind of bitter sweet feeling now. And what was the reason for using the two 2339 Brick, Arch 1 x 5 x 4 - Continuous Bow in LBG and not Dark red??? at the gate.
  10. Did you notice how the tires are aslope even though the truck sits on a support?
