  1. wow.. my hat off to you sir, you know your tyres! thank you.. it will be a great model (when done!), although admittedly finding time and working through a myriad of different interconnected 'challenges' is proving a good challenge
  2. Hi Hrafn, thanks very much for your post.. very useful.. I had a further look at the wheel chart as well and you are right, these are the best option currently available for me.. visually they may well look fractionally smaller but the plus is the current ones are visually probably a fraction too big so. In the first two set you mentioned, to be sure, what does the 2nd figure mean i.e. 36H and 34R? Hi Hrafn, I'll look into the 68.8x24, I have been trying to get the right fit stuff as I have gone with this model.. however the advantage of the first sets of wheels you mentioned is that I know I can most likely just swap them out, whereas the 68.8x24 may well require another small rebuild of the model, of which I have lost count already how many has been done!
  3. hello there, I am currently working on a technic 1967 Mustang Shelby GT500. To date I have built it on the size wheels you get in the last two supercar sets i.e. 8.5 studs with big rims. However I am looking for a better style wheel to the original car, still fitting to 8.5 studs. I think there is a bigger wheel which might have done but evidently the model has been built to a slightly smaller wheel. Very grateful for any recommendations. Picture attached for better explanation. https://www.flickr.com/photos/123657367@N02/
  4. wow... I think unless people have attempted these kinds of builds, then they never really have any idea of the complexities of these kind of builds.. I am currently working on a 1967 Shelby GT500 and have been for a similar length of time on and off. I have a problem with the wheels which I was wondering whether someone would figure out something I have been unable to. I currently am using the wheels 8.5 stud diameter from last supercar model sets. They are ok but don't fit with the what the original car is about. Does anyone know a way round this i.e. a tyre and centre wheel combination which still fits to the 8.5 stud diameter? I'll try attach a picture so you know what I mean.. much appreciated, C https://www.flickr.com/photos/123657367@N02/
