  1. B-PV-2D Hi, have a look at my large fire station. It's purely fictitious - I've never been to the real fire station, so there may be things which are illogical :) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=140239 All the vehicles are LEGO, except for the large 'tank' car (I'm lacking the terminology here), which is a poor try to imitate Czech Tatra T148. Some of the furniture pieces are taken from Brickshelf, some of them are mine. Photos are far from perfect. If anybody is interested in any details, let me know, I plan to destroy it on Sunday. The garage uses my rubber belt powered doors, this version seems to work very nice - and it's cheap, easy to build and ready for 6/8-studders.
  2. jonfett, I think you're mistaken - it was in the US, where the sets were castrated. Most probably they were afraid of getting sued. The newer guns use large rubber things which hardly can make any serious damage (except for direct and deliberate firing to eye from close range). See the comments here: http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6286-1
  3. Photos are not available, but basically it is: -guns +chains +ropes +crates
  4. sam, missing your point. The set _should_ come to Europe, as 7298, but without guns (large crate instead).
  5. Why do I think you're all mistaken. These are not bulk bricks. Expect the prices at least twice as high as your worst estimates posted :P
  6. I've got four of them and can't imagine anybody can live without them :-D It's ideal for removing plate/plate connection of same size (esp. 1x2 or 2x2) and very useful when removing tiles from centers of plates. I think they should made them more technic ready, axles are a bit clumsy for removing friction pins.
  7. In fact there are 4 skeletons. Two are hidden in the chapel. One is green, one is black, but they're incomplete (no hands IIRC).
  8. Yes, it is, but it will not be cheap. Rather PM me.
  9. Hi, I have to sell some stuff to accomodate my collection in my storage. The sets are used, but generally in good to excellent condition. I'm located in Europe, Czech Republic, so it'd would be generally easier/cheaper for Europeans. I can't accept Paypal (because of their unending ignorance), so a wire transfer looks like an only option. Details available by mail/PM. Offer me your price, I think we can make a deal. The list is here. Regards,
  10. Small ship is just two brown boats (2551) connected back to back. Large ship has 3 old middle parts (2560), the ends are 1 new mold.
  11. Eh, what is logic when it comes to promotional items? ;-)) This is Dr.Oetker's vanilla pudding http://www.droetker.cz/produkty/produktyf....18&poradi=P3100 You add milk and cook a while. Where are you from that you don't know it? It's like to ask why do you get an helicopter when you buy bottled water (the LEGO promo few weeks ago).
  12. This is promo given with 10 vanilla Dr.Oetker's puddings in Czech Republic. There is another polybag, some sort of (green, brick made) dinosaur - set number 7219. So no mystery (and no hospital this year). I usually ignore the promo stuff, that's why I didn't write about this one, it is discussed on Kostky.org since 6th of May, when it first appeared in Hypernova chain (owned by Ahold).
  13. Hehe, I recently sorted laaaarge pile of used Lego. I found lots of Megablocks, some other (incompatible) building toys, toys from 'Kinder Surprise' etc. So in preliminary sorting all of this stuff went immediately in the trashbin. Together with this: http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/x374 and http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/2474 I must have looked like homeless, digging in my trashbin for these parts :D
  14. Voted Bionicle as well. They're simply not Lego. Their 'fans' are not Lego fans. This line 'poisons' other lines (studless Technic). The success of Bionicle and Bionicle style of 'action' play makes the company to give up on more traditional approach to children and their play. I believe they could without any serious problems drop the Technic compatibility (there is no System compatibility anyway), make 'em from cheaper plastic, put there 'Made in China' and almost nobody would notice.
  15. From what I've heard, europe may get the Dinos too, but slightly modified, without the guns (or with smaller ones or whatever). But no Adventurers Dinos this year.
  16. eh? From when? In the last annual report (2003), there is the table named Net Sales. For 2003 it's: Americas: 3000 Europe: 5000 other: 500 millions DKK (approximate, as there is only a graph, not numbers) And let's wait for the 2004's report. I could bet it'll be even worse.
  17. Or, maybe, Vikings will be Euro only. :^D
  18. Hi guys, a fellow lady from the czech LEGO shop www.legacek.cz was so glad to take photographs for us. I would like the admins to cancel the following link as soon as possible and mirror the stuff here, I don't want to bring her server to the knees. Legacek.cz mirrored pictures on EB
  19. Should be more, I'd expect cca 400.
  20. The Ferrari crew torso's have stickers. As I hate stickers, I don't apply them. Maximally on tiles. And multi-part stickers don't have the chance.
  21. Uhm, what? The width of the road (and the numbers of studs on sides) has changed multiple times.
  22. 90% probability, that there will be only printed heads.
  23. From what I heard they have '3D printers' for prototyping, so for quick mockup pictures they're great. This is really the downside of publishing the early prototypes photos - they may give you the false hopes. See the 7249 crane issue, too many people are now saying the LEGO should release the uglier&smaller proto-crane (missing their point anyway *wacko*) The photos of Vikings most probably come from the newer edition of dealer catalogue, and I have the feeling that at least 4 of the sets will look different. There's no discussion about the last one, the name and picture don't match now at all.
  24. Protos? *satis*
  25. No beards, just printed heads. d:d *glasses*
