My theory was that a normal spider stumbled across the mask of ultimate power and was transformed into a large spider, with smaller spiders being enlarged and controlled as well...

Very disappointed in Kopaka's clumsiness... I would have preferred him to have any other weakness other than that. Even afraid of the dark I would take!!! While swinging on vines, perhaps... Not on the ground.

It seems as if the brothers made a deal that its power should be shared equally and you should never put it on or you would succumb to its power... And why was Makuta even jealous of Ekimu? What did Ekimu do that made him jealous?
