  1. From what I read the colour is called platinum grey. You are right the first x-wing was too dark but the last one was too white. I'll buy a new one when they finally make it the right colour.
  2. I bought T-6 Jedi shuttle 7931 Sith Nightspeeder 7957 Mace Windu Jedi Interceptor 7868 All these above in box with instruction and no missing piece for 90$ CAD I think it was a fair deal since the T-6 shuttle was 69.99 + 15% sale tax when it came out
  3. Pretty sure the X-Wing is grey http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/T-65_X-wing_starfighter?file=Battle_of_Yavin.png (at least it is in the video game Star Wars Rogue Squadron) I don't know why Lego keep making them white. The new one does look more accurate but the the 1999 x-wing was my first Lego set so I will never "upgrade it" And it is still the only one that came in the right color Bottom line: that's my opinion Buy witch ever one you prefer!
  4. Thanks I will check in my parts if I have any balck heads if not I will bricklink one
  5. Around 650$... I might have exaggerated a little
  6. I was in vacation in the US and since the sets are 10-20% cheaper and the sale tax is 10% lower I had saved a bunch of money all year long. I am currently a student. I make my money by doing babysitting (basicly getting paid to play Lego and then I can buy more Lego with the money = win!!!) So i bought: 9526: Palpatine's Arrest 75015: Corporate Alliance Tank Droid 75016: Homing Spider Droid 75028: Clone Turbo Tank 75029: AAT 75030: Millennium Falcon 75031: TIE Interceptor 75032: X-Wing Fighter 75033: Star Destroyer 75035: Kashyyyk Troopers 75036: Utapau Troopers 75037: Battle on Saleucami (x5) 75038: Jedi Interceptor ( got it on sale for 20$) 75041: Vulture Droid ( got it on sale for 20$) 75043: AT-AP ( got it on sale for only 38$) 75044: Droid Tri-Fighter 75045: Republic AV-7 Anti-Vehicle Cannon 75050: B-Wing 75051: Jedi Scout Fighter ( I don't know what is that ship but it looks so cool + the Ithorian Jedi) 75058: MTT ( I modded the droid rack. Now it can fit 12 droids. Now it is a true multi troop transport I will make a post soon)
  7. I bought a second 75016 Hooming spider droid to get a second Stass Allie (and another white clone) I wanted to make an Adi Gallia with the fig since they are both female Tholothian. Stass Allie is left handed with green lightsaber and indigo colored eyes http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Stass_Allie Adi Gallia is right handed with a blue lightsaber and blue colored eyes http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Adi_Gallia So I wanted to know if there is a black female minifigure head with blue eyes that I could use to make an Adi Gallia minifig? Thanks
  8. In Canada Toys R Us doesn't discount UCS set even during a 20% sale on "all" Lego Star Wars. Now we have a full month of 20% off on Lego Star wars but the Death Star is still 499.99. 20% off is better then the 15% off we got on Shop@home for May the fourth. So it's a pretty decent sale. I guess that if you are paid in Euro, it's a good deal. (I don't know the original price in Europe) You might want to ask someone who also lives there.
  9. The summer wave is available at the Sawgrass Mills Lego store.
  10. Once you manage to fit the number of droid you want (for me 12 is enough) this set is amazing. Only thing now is it doesn't have the space to fit 6 more additional blasters. It would require some more modding and I still doubt that they will fit. On a side note: I like the size of the build and I love the fact that the STAP fits in the back of it even if its not movie accurate. In my opinion, at 954 pieces, and lots of play features, it was worth the 90$ I paid for it.
  11. I am on holiday so I don't have access to my spare parts so that is why I only used parts from the set. It is not very esthetic nor solid but it is working fine until I get home and can mod it properly. This was more to see if this set was modable without a major overhaul. Conclusion: it is! 12 droids will fit just right but if you want to fit more droids it will take a major overhaul ( lengthen and widthen the whole model) http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/duboismerci/MTT/dscf0613.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/duboismerci/MTT/dscf0614.jpg There is 2 level. Each holding 6 droid. Since I only have this set I don't have enough droid to fill them both. ( 8 droids on the rack with 4 empty spaces = 12 total spots) http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/duboismerci/MTT/dscf0616.jpg View from above http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/duboismerci/MTT/dscf0618.jpg This picture shows that the rack fits in the MTT and the pieces you see next to it are the extra parts that I removed from the rack and from the INSIDE of the MTT. (The outside of the MTT was left completely untouched) What I did was remove most on the pieces that made the base of the troop rack (that black part with a yellow technic piece) and remove some piece inside the MTT so the 2nd floor of the troop rack would fit in. Sorry for the bad pictures and for the bad build but I did what I could with what I had
  12. I finished building mine. I modded it and now it can fit 12 droids in folded position. I only used parts from the set: the extra pieces and the few parts I removed from the inside so the droid would fit. Now it's really a Multi Troop Transport From what I saw there is no way to fit more then 12 droids without touching the structure. In that case you will need a lot of parts,
  13. This topic is not dead yet! We are still missing 75057 and 75060
  14. Great review! Made me buy the set
  15. I will try to get the battle of Hoth because the snowspeeder is almost the same size as the 1999 version If i can't find this set I'll buy the new one Thanks once again for the pics and small review
  16. Thanks :) Greatly appreciated I will see what I can get as a graduation gift ( ill go for the death star) If not I will probably ask for the AT-AT and the new snowspeeder. Just want to see if it will fit with my 1999 version that means alot to me (It's the first lego I got. I was 5 years old)
  17. Could someone post a comparison picture of the new snowspeeder and the 1999 version Thanks
  18. I was in the USA last year end during the month of august the BP were 10$ at Wal Mart. (That was for Florida and Virginia) It looks like the price drops when the summer wave comes out. Thanks you for your opinion I will read some reviews and look at some pictures. Usually other people owning this set seem to like this set as a display piece.(Even calling this set the best STar wars set and a must have for fan) At least I think it was what people said about this set.
  19. I am soon going to the USA land of the free and home of the brave inexpensive Legos and I saved around 600$ from my under the table babysitting job to buy legos. I can't decide between the Death Star and another 100-150$ set or 25 Kashyyyk Bp and 25 Utapau Bp ( I could get then for 10$ per BP) What would you take or is there anything else that is a must buy? Other information: Space is not an issue and I play with my lego. I like PT the most because I grew up with Ep 2 and 3 ( That is where my clone addiction comes from) but I also love OT
  20. I don't know about bricklink but depending on where you live you should go check in bookstore. They , most of the time have a lego section where you can find sets from 2-3 years back (because who goes to a book store to buy lego lol) Also even if the set is not listed on the website there is a chance they still have some in stock (I got myself the 9492 last week at Toys R in Canada even if it is not listed anymore on their website)
  21. Like others said:Wal-Mart, Target and TRU (TRU is more expensive but when they have sale it mught become interesting) Last year, I was in Florida in august and the summer wave was out. I remember seeing the Umbaran Canon (75013) as a Target exclusive The HH87 Starhopper (75024) and Barc speeder with sidecar (75012) as Wal Mart exclusive So the only set that wasn't release yet in august was the ewok village You are welcome I do the same thing every year when I go to the US because in Canada the prices are 15-20% higher and the sale tax is 15%
  22. The price should be the same in every mainland state. The only difference is the sale tax (which is 6% in Florida) Lego are usually cheaper at Wal-Mart (10$ for a battle pack after the release of the summer wave) My advice to you: if you stay long enough, you should order online to your hotel. Prices are cheaper online and you only pay the federal sale tax when you buy online (which is 0% in the US)
  23. I got 9492 Tie Fighter And I met George Lucas at the Canadian f1 Grand Prix
  24. Does anyone knows when the super pack are generaly released in the us? (for exemple last year TRU super pack was http://brickset.com/sets/66473-1/LEGO-Star-Wars-Super-Pack)
  25. I get it It was LSW 15th anniversary so we got 15% off... Dissapointing for my first may the fourth ( I was pretty mad actually, big letdown) The 15% off was only for a couple of sets (7-8) and no sales on the winter wave The only good sale was the 50% on the desert skiff and the Mandalorian Starfighter but they were already sold out at 0:25 on may 3 They had 25% on ALL set at TRU And since the S@H and TRU price are the same when not discounted (in Canada) I got myself a bunch of sets at TRU but no Revan I better have 1 or 2 extra BP then ONE exclusive EU minifig
