What Sam892 said, the Milton Keynes store is the closest to me and it's not very good. If you are in the shopping center, take a look, but the Pick a Brick sucks. I've got some good stuff before, but the London stores are way better. Watford, Westfield and Liverpool are good stores, I haven't been to any others yet.

You can go up to the customer service desk in Argos and ask to view a box to find the ones you want. I do it all the time and they just leave me to it until I'm done, then they just sell me the ones I want.

I haven't been able to get any of the modulars because they are so expensive, but I went to the pick and brick wall and managed to grab so many blue pieces that I thought I could use them to build something big. I had enough bricks at home for the rest of the pieces, although some of the floors are strange colours and one window is odd. I know this isn't the full set, but it's my first modular (although I didn't have enough bricks to finish the back). It's not accurate at all, but I like it.

I got this haul for around £50-55 in the last two days. Morrisons is having a sale and they also have 20% extra off with a staff discount card (I have a relative discount card).

Power Rangers. Megablocks has it and it sucks. It was pretty decent when they did the Ninja Storm to SPD sets because the figures were identical to Lego Minifigures and that's really all I cared about (ok, building the Ninja Academy was awful because it wouldn't stay together, but I don't play with them so it's no big deal in the end), but the new ones suck. They don't match my Lego figures and I hate that. They also look like cheap crap which makes it even worse. I was excited for the figures before I got hold of one.

Morrisons has a few sets cheap at the moment, so if you have a larger store with a toy section check it out. Some City, Chima and Castle sets are in the deal.

No interior yet, I don't have enough bricks yet to build the insides properly so it's going to have to wait until I can get my hands on some more. Yeah, it's a small townhouse. I wanted to build something bigger, but I only have a limited number of bricks in each colour unless I tear apart the sets I've decided to keep together. I'm in desperate need of doors and windows, I found a few spare last night, but nothing I can really use in a build.

I love the modular buildings, but I haven't been able to buy any of them yet. I decided to design and build my own smaller version. I know it doesn't look as good as the stuff you guys make, but I hope I can mod it further in the future when I get more bricks.

This is the current Police Station for my city. It's not 100% finished yet and needs a lot more work, but I'm happy with where it is going. Human criminals are still locked up in the jail cells, but more dangerous mutants are locked away in Cryogenic Containers (they are on the top floor of the main building) until they stand trial. They still haven't quite developed the technology to shrink their containers, but they are getting there, by the year 3000 that technology will be available to them. The police officer between the two cars is holding a Trizirium crystal which is used to power the city, cars, mechs, etc, they are created from a by product called Zirium Powder. The mech is used to fight off all those large monsters created from radiation in the wastelands surrounding the small city. It's been 100 years since the Venjix Virus nearly wiped out humanity by using our nuclear missiles against us, but humans are still feeling the effect. Who fights these dangerous battles? Why the brave warriors the latest Power Ranger team seen at the front of the hanger with their robot counterparts standing behind them (the belts they wear have a buckle that looks like a Power Morpher, it had to be done!). I still need to add stickers to the building, finish off the hanger and possibly make the entire thing bigger to fit all the police vehicles I have inside. I think the hanger needs a door or shutter so I've got that to add when I get some more bricks. I hope you enjoy the random sci-fi-ish police station!

I was thinking of making some signs to go on there, especially over the doors. I'd love to carry on with the windows on the right and add another floor onto it, but unless I can get some more pieces without having to take my police station apart is going to have to stay as it is right now.

Hi everyone, thanks for the awesome comments, I didn't see them until yesterday. I was surprised my thread had been brought back from the dead! Here's the update I made to the hospital yesterday. I got some extra bricks so I decided to use them to expand a little. It's still not perfect. I need to get a grey base to replace the green one, I also need some new blue windows, a few more flat grey and red pieces, and some more flat black roof pieces to make this update look good. I'm going to keep my two amblances. I don't mind the size differences so much, although I'm tempted to change it though. Let me know what you think!

I've been meaning to finish building my cities hospital for a while and I finally got around to it. I used the latest police station and the helicopter rescue to build it. The middle floor has bars on it because it is where the city holds people infected with the zombie virus.

The ones that won't fit in my city have been taken apart and merged into other sets/made into new things. Some of my oldest sets from when I was a kid have stayed as they are and have never been taken apart, the Insectoids being one. I love those sets, the Sonic Stinger was my biggest set as a kid.

Thanks for the heads up, I just grabbed the 4203, 4200 and 7288 for around £30, very happy I managed to get something this time around. I missed out on all the cool Star Wars Lego the week before.

I agree, Tesco have been really great and the refund went through the next day. I think I got the refund because I had tracking proving that the item was damaged before it got to me. On a side note. One or two pieces were a little damaged, but nothing more than a few scratches. The set is getting modded into a hospital now, merging with the Helicopter Rescue set I got a few days ago from lego.com. I already have a massive police station (the previous police station is merged with the Space Police sets) and I just thought this new one would make an awesome hospital.

I really wasn't expecting them to be so great about it, but since it had already been reported being damaged in the post, I guess that's why I got the refund. I am happy with the result, there aren't a lot of companies who will do that for a customer.
-
I went the Twitter route, posted pictures and they are offering me a replacement or refund of £10 if I keep the item. I am keeping it. Everything is in the box, I built everything up to make sure. I wanted to keep the box, but it's not the biggest loss, and £10 back is great.

My package arrived from Tesco today. I've been waiting all week for it and I've been tracking it from the start. A few days ago, I noticed that my package wasn't delivered because it was damaged: So, it went out agian through another company yesterday and arrived here today. The package has been unsealed on both sides, someone has tried to tape it down again quickly, the box has caved in from being squashed. I paid £50 for this toy and £3 for it to be delivered to my house. I did not expect my package to arrive in this condition. I haven't dared open it yet because the box is in such awful condition. I don't know what to do. My nearest store is over 5 miles away and I can't cycle with that thing with me. That's the only reason I bought it online otherwise I would have gone to the store in person to pick it up.

I dunno, maybe in the future. I still want an awesome older castle. I don't like the newer ones so much, they just aren't as fun and because they aren't built on a base, they lack the dungeons etc the old ones used to have.

Looking for sets similar to Space Police HQ (set 5985).
Zanki replied to jFox's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Combine the two. I've got the police station before this one and the space police set merged. I love it. I think I like it so much because the Space Police stuff reminds me of a cross between SPD and the Time Force Police. -
I've been woken up twice for the postman today, I'm wide awake now after having five hours interupted sleep. But I got sets 76005 and 7346!

http://www.youtube.com/user/PopularUprising?feature=watch I was wondering if anyone else has been watching this show on youtube? I'm really enjoying it, the latest episode was awesome!

lol I don't know the eact year, I just remember they where out when I was around 10/11. I just looked it up, I was a year out, it was the 2000 castles that I liked, so I would have been 11. I do remember going to Legoland one year, my mum said I could get a castle and couldn't find one. All they had was that football stuff. I was really upset and got a gameboy game that sucked and an awesome king keyring that vanished years ago.

It's the same for anything. I follow Power Ranger merchandise. A normal figure in the US costs $7, in the UK, the same figure is £7/8. That's nearly a five dollar increase for the same piece of plastic. It's always been like this though. I'm just glad that in the UK, we get nearly all the same Lego (I still want those little bags with little sets in them here, I wanted the superhero line ones, but I don't think they released them here, I never saw them). The differences in the toy lines between the US and the UK is horrible sometimes. One year, we had to pay twice as much as the US for a morpher. It wouldn't have been too bad, but they took all the features out of the UK version, it ended up only making one sound, no lights, all the special features removed and it was made of cheaper plastic. Luckily for me I already had the Japanese version of the toy, but it was a big deal. We are very lucky this year to be getting two 20th anniversary toys. Normally they don't bother releasing any of that stuff outside of the US. I'm just hoping this year the morpher is the same as the US version. I don't care about the 20th anniversary morpher because my friend sent me one from America, but it would suck if they lowered the quality and upped the price. It costs $60 to buy one in America, I'm not looking forwards to seeing the price here.
