  1. I got my TARDIS set today, made an Amy and Rory for it One problem I do have with the set is that the top of the TARDIS is a bit flat... So I added some not-LEGO to it. Feels wrong, but it does look better.
  2. The copyright stuff mentions Daleks and Cybermen, so those will be in the game. I suspect that a Dalek and Cyberman will appear in the Ideas set. I think K9 will be exlusive to the Dimensions pack. Edit: Oh, and is this image the actual TARDIS we'll be getting?
  3. Where does this happen? All the video game stores I know have lots of display cases (as in empty game cases) on shelves, with the real games under the till. So you take the case to the front, and they get the game from a drawer near them.
  4. I was hopeful for the Zelda one this time. I know they had two failed sets, but both of those focused on minifigures while this focused on a great set with lots of playability. I don't think the IP is the issue, as wouldn't LEGO have put it on the "not allowed" list after the previous two? Hopefully LEGO will work with the designer of the "Research Institute" one to expand it a bit - the three little scenes just don't work for me, but they may expand it into more of a complete-looking set. My thoughts on the next batch: LEGO Bird project: It took absolutely ages for this to reach the required amount of votes (with the new rules, it would never have happened) and they would have to limit to a few designs. They're also just models and not "playsets". Not likely. Modular Apple Store: Extremely bland design, odd IP for LEGO to work with. Even less likely than Andy the Android. If LEGO were to do something like this, it would be a tech store with a made-up brand so they can incorporate it into the City theme. BTTF - Jules Verne Train : Way too big. It won't happen. Doctor Who: Way too much focus on the minifigures (something LEGO don't want from this) and a lazy set idea thrown in as an afterthought. I think that this one will be rejected. Big Bang Theory: Not the right kind of IP for LEGO to work with, way too many minifigures. Definitely won't happen. Doctor Who and Companions: A well made set, a couple of companions (with flexibility from the designer), great set design which would also encourage people to buy two, and it helps that the designer has the prototype made out of actual LEGO. This is the only one I can see happening, but with Capaldi and Clara minifigures.
  5. But all that stuff exists and will still be published. How does a comment from Disney affect the quality of all this stuff or how enjoyable they are? Then again, I'm also a Star Trek fan, so I'm used to this.
  6. I've just ordered the Homing Spider Droid, Mandalorian Speeder and General Grievous' Wheel Bike alongside the free Darth Revan figure.
  7. Kaylee She's pretty. Especially when she's covered in engine grease. Book I'd like to find a more suitable torso that is slightly more buttoned up. Saffron Her and lipstick are a dangerous combination.
  8. From what I can find, the first published use was in the novel of Episode IV, however it was used in the original script and some marketing.
  9. I've been out of the LEGO loop for a while, but started collecting again recently, which means I've discovered many wonderful new parts. One thing I'm curious about is the rubber parts. When did they start doing this? I'm also curious as to why some extremely specific parts are still hard plastic. For example, in 79003 An Unexpected Gathering, Bombur's hair/beard/stomach piece is hard plastic, while Bofur's hat is rubber. Why is it like this, rather than having both parts be rubber?
  10. Boba Fett is a hugely popular and extremely marketable character. Of course he's going to survive and be back. I think this is the best thing they can do, as it means that they can create a new story rather than trying to adapt a book or fitting it in somewhere. Personally, I'm still classing The Old Republic era stuff as canon until anything contradicts it. The end of the era - Darth Bane creating the Rule of Two - is officially canon, and it's set back far enough that I don't think that anything Disney will do for quite a while will mess with it. It's also interesting that Revan was chosen as a promotional minifigure. It would be nice to know if The Old Republic will be made officially canon, as they're still making content for it.
  11. Do you think that there's any chance that they'll use the next batch of results to make a bigger deal of the "LEGO Ideas" launch?
  12. ASDA Direct. They're now out of stock of some of the sets.
  13. Pirate Ship Ambush - 79008 - £40 I also picked up the following at the same time: Unexpected Gathering - 79003 - £30 Mirkwood Spiders - 79001 - £12 Lake-town Chase - 79013 - £25 Dol Guldur Battle - 79014 - £25
  14. Release date in the UK looks to be the 21st July according to Amazon UK. Unfortunately, the updated box art and information for the DVD, Blu-Ray and 3D Blu-Ray suggests that we won't get the "Everything is Awesome" version.
