  1. Hi, wondered if anyone knew whether there is a pick a brick wall at Windsor Legoland in the UK. Meeting up with family there, would be fab to find some different elements. Alternatively anything not to be missed there. Will be meeting up with brother, sister in law and three year old niece and ten month old nephew. Its been some years since my last visit as my two are much older. So only have the website info to go on. Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, still finding my way around.
  2. Went to this lego store when visiting relatives, sadly before i got into lego so i only bought a duplo farm set for my niece. Are you planning on building the mega models on the top of the store, huge job if you are. By the way very friendly and helpful staff when i visited.
  3. Thanks for the info Sam, will keep an eye out for that then.
  4. Bought series five Friends polybags- monkey, parrot and brown bear from my local lego store.
  5. Not a newspaper buyer generally, can anyone tell me how the Daily Mail lego polybag thing works.
  6. As you appear to be studying architecture, can you say what makes the Z design more sustainable than the previous models. I do like the "green" roofs and i think the modular designs of them would make for easier and cheaper construction in the real world, not lego. But does the design reduce energy consumption through its life. Excellent model and design, but i'm interested in the sustainability of it as i have just completed a short course looking at sustainability issues.
  7. Yes, i'm really glad i got it now, even at double the retail. DH thinks i should brick link the Greengrocer which i do like. But i'm not keen on Market street so might as well accept the FireBrigade as my starting point and just collect the remainder. Eventually, and thinking a few years downline i'd like to design and build my own modulars anyway.
  8. Unfortunately they are. Only just got into lego this year and love the modulars, unfortunately missed out on the fire brigade as well as the other earlier modulars. Reasoned that they are unlikely to bring out another modular fire brigade as there was plenty of opportunity for those into lego at the time to buy it. So i took a deep breath and much against my ethos bought one at twice the price.
  9. Thanks for the explanation. Time is too short at the moment to join clubs but will keep it in mind .
  10. Just getting into lego, could you tell me what LUG bulk is. Having trouble guessing some of these acronyms.
  11. Newbie here, both to this site and to Lego, but have bought lots in the last two months. Visited Bluewater in UK yesterday and bought two cups. Not a great variety in the wall but they had several with a whole mishmash thrown in. Ending up taking nearly two hours to fill the two cups.
