Printed parts rather than stickers, and the alternate model ideas on the back of the box.

Looks nice. I think that red gunship is my favorite of the bunch.

Does every lego piece have a lego stamp on it?
brickmack replied to blakeatron's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Some technic parts and minifig utensils don't have LEGO written anywhere, just to name a few types. -
Yea that would be useful. The closest they make is the 3x2 tile with clips.

Put the older ones inside each other, and fold up the recent ones. You will probably need several stacks for the boxes inside each other, since many will be the same sizes and won't fit inside wach other.

I like the fig, interesting looking. That would be interesting. Maybe a garage with a flying saucer also?

LEGO parts made of Chinese plastic?
brickmack replied to Henchmen4Hire's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If you got both low and high quality versions, its probably just a production error rather than the factory/plastic is completely bad. I'm sure LEGO will send you replacements if you contact them about it, which will probably be better. -
A bit of programming (nothing thats actually useful, but meh), and I draw also. Mostly drawing stuff to make in LEGO, but I sometimes design various non-LEGO stuff (laser guns, rocket engines, powered exosekeletons, etc), which I will never be able to build (lack of funds, impracticalities, etc). Also after writing this, my life seems a lot more pointless.

Babylon 5 interviews, artwork and other stuff
brickmack replied to Triple F's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Same here. I'm planing to watch it as soon as I finish BSG (which could be a while, since I just started watching). Looks like an interesting show though. -
This would be quite interesting, not often that we get an insight into the thoughts of non-FOLs on the subject.

An internet tale Winchester/Shaun of the Dead project on CUUSOO
brickmack replied to Yatkuu's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Congratulations, I hope this gets made. Hopefully LEGO doesn't change too many details on it, the original was great. Too bad they will probably use fleshies though, since it would be a licensed set. -
If it's the same plastic, I imagine it would work.

I know nnenn and I think Pete Morris and a few others used painted cockpits. From looking through nnenn's pictures, it seems he just used cheap craft glass paint and painted it on. If you just want it for posting online, with no plans for physically displaying it anywhere, I've had good results with the hue slider on photoshop, and I'm sure something similar exists in GIMP and other free editors.

Looks nice. The SNOTed base looks better than plates most of the time. I like the windshield design.

What date (time period) do you set your pirates in?
brickmack replied to Captainmorgan's topic in LEGO Pirates
I don't do a whole lot in Pirates, but I normally think of them as late 1600s-early 1700s. -
Looks cool, I like the transblue highlights. The spiked sun thing kinda reminds me of that eye on the tower in LOTR. Probably coincidental though...

Are you wanting to take them apart to store, or keep them together? Answers will likely vary based on this.

Disabled Technic Builders
brickmack replied to grum64's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Truly inspiring story. A lot of Technic sets are hard enough to do by hand, it has to take a lot of skill to do it by mouth. -

Why the Pirates theme disappeared in 1998?
brickmack replied to Captain Fortune's topic in LEGO Pirates
This seems like the most likely option to me, other than perhaps fading popularity. If TLG was hoping for SW to be successful, getting rid of one of their most popular themes would free up customers to spend their money on SW. It would have been a bit of a gamble, but Star Wars is pretty popular so TLG probably guessed they would make more money by doing all they can to help LEGO SW succeed, even if it meant dropping a few themes. -
Question for people here: With very similar parts such as these: (note the difference in the clip) where the parts are identical in function but have a slight difference in the way it's made, do you sort them together or keep each subtype separate? I personally keep them in the same container, and I'm guessing most others do as well, but does anyone here separate them?

You'll probably have to make your own, or get someone to do it for you.

Weird looking city, but I love the greebley look of the buildings.

Wow. You've captured nearly every detail perfectly. The original was a favorite of mine and so is this.
