Optimax X

Well today, with my mum, we made a victoria sponge cake for my dad's 47th birthday on wednesday. Some pictures in this gallery. Gallery. Comments- Well, for my first time icing a cake, i think this went quite well, The text went suprisingly well, as did the ballons, but i think i could have made them smoother. Something that could be improved though is the black "prancing horse" symbol of ferrari. My dad is obsessed about ferrari as i am, but i think it could have been improved. Another one on the way, my sister's birthday next wednesday, so i'll post the results in this topic. Constructive critismism always welcome.

Okay, well, today, while at tesco, i checked to see if they had any barraki, sure enough they did, so i picked up lil' mantax. Pictures, but they may be a bit big, so just links to my gallery. Well, i have to say the new tub is very interesting. The set and peices are very visibale through it, and the blue is very watery! There are little notches on it, which i found hard to hold the canister, and i don't really like the "slanted affect" The top, or should i say bottom is quite hard to get off as well. The build is quite enjoyable, not many new peices i thought, but enough for MOCing. The black and silver colour scheme is great, again, great even more so for MOCing. Front view The weapons, i have mixed feelings about. I like the two claws that he holds, but i would like it even more if they moved. They are quite small, but i found he can almost pick up a model car, and maybe something bigger. The thing that anoys me the most is the squid launcher. Terrible, i think. it's too hard to load it up without pinging off backwards, and when you do get it set-up correctly, if you pull back not much, it won't fly at all, but if you pull quite hard, it just nose dives onto the floor, not flying at all. Very frustrating. Side view Overall- 8.5/10 I really like the colour scheme, his claws and pincers, his tail and more, but i hate the launcher, it does not work! Waste of money on that front, But, seriously, for everything else, you have to pick at least one barraki up Gallery.

My mum said if i sell my big viking fortress, which i don't play with much now, i could get a barraki, so when i went to tesco and saw Mantax, i said yes!

Okay, well, as i said in the project topic, i have madean F1 garage and extras for my model F1 cars. Sorry for the poor quality of pictures, my first time using a digital camera. I did garages for Mclaren, Ferrari and Renualt using the team colours. There are more pictures in my folder here, this is on maj so it is open strait away. link. Well, yeah i agree with what our saying for exo-force, but seriously, we are not in the '80's and '90's anymore, everything changes, and it appears lego has, so i'd just grin and bare it.

America have had over 2 meters in some part, and more snow is forcasted for them. Nearly all our snow has gone now exept our really half melted, now headless snowman. More snowblob now.

Well i have to say with complete truth and my hands up, i have never.....prepare yourself for a shock.... been a fan of the starwars theme, i find it tacky, way to expensive and just.....strange. Okay some of the space ship thing-a-majigs are cool and you can create cool MOCs from them, but i have never got it.

I'm also planning on getting afew of the F1 lego sets this year, so i can improve my MOC even more and i'll make basic lego racers that i'll show.

Well i've just made a big garage, 3 actuly on one board, a really big one. There garages have got team personal and other things such as computers and tool boxes. On this model there is the room where drives get weighed after the race before they go onto the podium, i made some stairs in this room leading up ionto the podium which i based on monza podium and a paddock (not where horses go, but in other words park ferme and a trailer that has another car inside it. I have just taken photos of it but they are not on my computer yet, if not tommorow or wednesday, they'll be here weekend. I may add a grandstand, pit wall and afew more garages tommorow.

Agreed, though after seeing that "attack" it made me think i never want to go to america. That shirt was creepy i have to admit, i want to see it again, best of the series so far.

Ah, nice pics dude, been waiting for 2007 summer racer set pics, like the 2 tiny turbo playsets, that bullet run looks like there is alot of cars in it and that 599 is just glorious!

Yeah- i think it was in one of the more recent magazines. Ohh- tonights episode looks funny, another road trip with clapped out cars! Yeah- i like the car darts the best, but the car football is also very funny! EDIT- man, this week's episode was sooo funny, stil laughing at it! Slightly offending to americans calling them all fat and stupid, so i bet they will get some complaints about that. They got one thing right, NASCAR does suck! Next weeks looks equally funny turing a reliant robin into a rocket.

Eww indeed, but how many times has this happened before? Happened with the barraki, piraka and inika, everyone thought they were horrible when the proto pics came out, but everyone's tune soon changed when the proper sets were realised. Are you sure the toa don't turn evil? :-P Ah well, not expecting these as final sets, not afraid to say i'd be a tad dissapointed if they were the final sets. :'-(

Really dissapointed there was no racer, there are quite afew racers sets that are supposed to come out later this year, so why they were not shown, i have no idea. The exo-force range looks okay, but i'm not that interested on it, bionicle also looks good but glad they are prototypes (they are, right?) Good pictures but a tad dissapointed with no racers, mars mission or castle products being shown. :-(

Well quite simple really, i went to that big search engine that has now bought you tube and for some weird reason (not saying lego is weird, but i type in random stuff when i'm bored!) i typed in lego, and saw this site called "euro bricks" Out of curriosity, i clicked the link and.....well, here i am now!
