  1. This is pretty amazing model. You can tell a lot of time went into the design and build.
  2. Tell me about it... I just picked up the last (4) of them on Bricklink last week. I had to buy them used as their were no new ones. Download the Adobe acrobat reader for iPad and it should work. It will even save the file for you so that you can bring it up anytime. I tested it and it works fine on my iPad 2. Getting back into Lego's, particularly the Technic series. I have already built the stock 42009 and purchased another kit so that I could recreate Jurgen's Ultimate 42009. It took a bit getting all the additional parts. As mentioned above, I picked up the last (4) yellow 'Technic, Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with Center Pin Hole' parts off of Bricklink. The large metal hook was a little expensive but worth it. Should be starting the build today or tomorrow. The only thing that would make things a little easier although I could probably figure out is which channels to select for the different IR receivers as well as on the four different joysticks. Jurgen did an incredible job with the redesign and the instructions. I can’t wait to build some of his other models like the Zorex-220 Motorized Excavator and the American Truck “Longnose”.
  3. Hi my name is Jullian, I'm from Portland, OR USA. Getting back into legos (Technic series) recently. A long time ago, back in the late 70's and 80's I was heavily into space legos. About a month ago I picked of the 42009 MK2 crane. I figure I would start off with an advanced Lego Techinic model. Soon after that I picked up the Bulldozer (model # 8275), Excavator (model # 8043), U440 MiniMog (model # 8110), 4x4 Crawler (model # 9398), and another MK2 crane which I plan on doing heavy modifications recreating Jurgen's Ultimate 42009. I guess you can say that I jumped off the deep end. I have been having lots of fun and learning quite a bit about mechanics in the process. Anyways; just wanted to introduce myself.
