  1. The turntable is 20 inches / 64 studs long and wide, as my Lego Flying Scotsman which is 18 inches long
  2. from what all you people have said, I will invest in Power Functions as I am Planning to build Steam Locomotives including the Southern Merchant Navy Class and the Southern Schools Class Steam Locomotives
  3. The rebuild will include the cab and tender, with dark green Lego replacing the black lego in the cab and tender walls, better windows, the sloping bricks will be replaced with curved sloping bricks and the battery box will be replaced by the Lego Power Functions rechargeable Battery box, and rear working lights
  4. I am planning to build a Lego Model Railway which will be based on UK Railways, in the former Southern region of the UK, Just updated the image below as the measurements were wrong, should have been in inches, the track plan was done in Anyrail 5, The Station area will be able to handle 4 coaches plus a locomotive, the dotted line will be a lifted section of the railway or a disused overgrown track My Lego LNER Flying Scotsman is 18 inches Long, while the coaches I have Designed are 14 inches in length Started designing one of the first modules, the first one will include a level crossing, working level crossing gates, a road and signal box and working semaphore signal
  5. Currently I have one, but plan to buy more or build more custom Train models, what I have so far is. Custom Lego version of Lego Flying Scotsman (due to be rebuilt this year) What I am plan to buy is the Lego 10233 Horizon Express, at least two sets I am also planning to build another Lego Steam Locomotive - Southern Railway Merchant Navy Class
  6. Just after my birthday las March 2013, I decided to buy the Lego Emerald Night Steam Locomotive Set as a late birthday present, but as the prices for the set were over £150 on Bricklink, I decided to buy the instructions for the Emerald Night Steam Locomotive instructions from Bricklink and build the model in LDD 4, Once I had build the locomotive in LDD 4, I decided to redesign the model in LDD to make it more like the LNER Flying Scotsman Steam Locomotive, and buy the parts I would need to build a physical model from Bricklink, including Shipping and packaging, the cost was 92.46, a week later after i had placed my orders in Bricklink, the parts arrived and I started to build the model. Below are some photos I have taken recently of my Lego LNER Flying Scotsman model, the front lights work, but the rear lights are just dummy lights, the model is 18 inches long,8 studs wide, 3.5 inches high, and has just over 900 bricks in the model. A nearly a year since I built the Lego Flying Scotsman model. I am now planning to rebuild the model with Big Ben Brick XL Wheels and custom coupling rods and finishing touches like the running number, LNER by using O Gauge Lining and lettering decals.
  7. Hi, I have put in a order for Big Ben Bricks wheels (4 * XL Flanged Driving Wheels, 2 * XL Blind Driving Wheels, 14 * Small Flanged Train Wheels) for my Flying Scotsman rebuild, I was wondering if the Big Ben Bricks wheels run on Lego RC Track UPDATE: The wheels have arrived this morning, have started to build the new chassis with the XL wheels for my Lego LNER A3 Flying Scotsman Locomotive, if the model works on plastic track, I will go to phase two of my LNER A3 Flying Scotsman Locomotive including either painting or using vinyl dye to change the color of the Big Ben Brick wheels to a dark green color to match the dark green color Lego bricks. I will have to buy some Lego RC Train Track for the test
  8. Hi, in a month I will have £300 to £400 pounds to spend on Lego, I am planning to buy the Lego set 10233 Horizon Express, i was wondering if I should invest in the Lego 9 volt Track (used), Motor(new), Train Speed Regulator 9V Power pack (new), Train Speed Regulator 9V Controller (new), 9 volt Train Track Contacts with Wire (new) or should I invest in the Lego Power Functions train Motor, Lego Power Functions Rechargeable battery and recharger, Lego RC Track.
  9. Hello everybody, my name is James, I am nearly 43 (next month) I live in Dover, in the UK. 40 years ago I started to play with Lego when I was 3, I had my dark age from the age of 15 to 22 when I started to buy 2nd hand Lego to build custom Lego spaceships, Lego Trains, Lego Ships. Lego Themes I like are Creator, Space, Train, Technic. Lego sets I have had brought for me or I have Brought include Set 4508-1 Titan XP Set 4955-1 Big Rig Set 4953-1 Fast Flyers Set 5866-1 Rotor Rescue Set 6752-1 Fire Truck Set 6862-1 LEGO Super Heroes Superman Vs Power Armor Lex Set 8070-1 Super Car I also like to custom build my Lego Models, I have built Technic cars including the set 8070-1 customized with IR Control (steering, drive and lights), ships, spaceships, trains, railway station and railway buildings, currently I have two models built, a 15 inch Lego Optimus Prime fully Transformable, a Lego LNER Flying Scotsman which is 18 inches long and 8 studs wide. The Lego Optimus Prime is due to be rebuilt once I can figure how to make posable legs for the Lego Model, as for my Lego LNER Flying Scotsman, I am planning to build a new chassis which will use BBB Wheels, XL driving wheels and small flanged wheels, I have ordered the wheels, just waiting for them to arrive. Other custom Lego Models I am planning are a spaceship called Scorpio from Blake's 7, this Lego model will be minifigure scale and almost five foot long, two foot wide and a foot high, and a Lego model of the Titanic which will be nearly 7 foot long, a foot wide and 2 foot high, both models will have over 10,000 pieces. Other interest are Console and PC Games (just brought a PS3 last Christmas so I can play the Tale of series (Grace, Xillia, Symphonia Collection (preordered)), Other Games I like are Trainz 2012, Skyrim, I also like to read, listen to music, watch DVDs, read comics. As for work, currently I am unemployed and up to last August I had my own Ebay and Bricklink Stores as I was self employed but due to not having enough money or stock, it wasn't successful, so both stores are temporally closed until I can save enough funds to buy a lot of stock for both stores.
