  1. As a customizer and sculpter myself I want to share some of my experience I gained over the years. When scultpting, you should always have wet fingers. This prevents the sculpt from getting fingerprints all over it, giving your sculpt a nice and smooth surface. Sanding helps a lot smoothing the surface, too. But the first sculpt already has to be quite smooth. Sanding is meant to remove minor errors. When painting your sculpts, you should use adequate colors. Games Workshop colors work very good. Forget about Revell colors, they are rubbish. And now some general advice for custom pieces: When you just finished your first custom, you can post it to gather comments. But its not the brightest idea to "force" others to buy this first custom. Especially when your customs will be compared with the quality of either official pieces or other custom pieces. Post your stuff, collect comments, improve your work, and when you perfected your skills you can start offering casts. Now my comments for this particular piece. Max Reebo isn

  5. In addition to the excellent boat and whatever might come from Steel, I forced myself to create something, too. So here are some add-ons for a typical Paradisa-Beach. Enjoy! Pieces: 110 Price: EUR 12.40 Link: http://shop.lego.com/Product/Factory/Produ...ed-b1eada0ce253
  6. A very nice car, but I have some suggestions to match the screenshot even more: You should swap the white mudguards with red ones, since the red stripe goes from front to back. Put the 1x2 plate with bar (the piece behind the chrome grill) upside down, cause on the screenshot it looks like there

  12. Thanks a lot. I think it even has some slight resemblance of the motorbikes in the Akira anime. Maybe I
  13. @Batbrick: Yes, the color scheme is meant to resemble the colors of my sig-fig. I tried to mecharize my sig fig as good as possible, and as completely as possible :-)
  14. Okay, that makes sense. I only studied movie making, so I know what looks cool, but never if it works for real :-D
  15. Thanks a lot! Yes, the wheels spin.
  16. Great work there, Luxor! I totally dig that bug-design. The only thing I find confusing is the color scheme. While the lime green mandibles are absolutley cool, the mixture of different grey and bley and black and even copper looks a little frankensteinish. BTW: Is that a quote from the book? I actually never spent too many thoughts on how the bugs described in the book would look like, as I always had the movie-images before my eyes while reading. But if it
  17. Thanks a lot! :) I
  18. It certainly does. Thanks! I only hope that wheels instead of legs are okay, too. I just got too tired of trying to build legs with LDD :-(
