  1. I'm surprised you just started building in this medium! Excellent MOC. I like how you've added a sidecar-type thingy. Excellent!
  2. King Leo's Castle (all the way back from 2001) was my most recent find (in 2008) - it still cost me $100, but it was worth it! The oldest set I've ever found (that I remember off the top of my head) was....all the way back from the Armada line, in 2004. Nice find.
  3. Ozzy Osbourne - Fire Great cover!
  4. He's baaaaaaaaack..... Welcome back, iamded! Nice little fort/camp idea! Will we see more of these (perhaps an extension of the wall/fort/etc.)? Ingenious balancing of the lightbulb, btw. I'm not an electrician or anything (far from it ) but isn't there a way to stick copper wire and a battery under the bulb to make it work? Nice job.
  5. Black Sabbath - Paranoid Good song.
  6. I have several guitars (one for metal, two for rock, one for jazz/blues and an acoustic): - Gibson Xplorer (black finish) - Gibson SG (Satin Gold finish - Raw Power edition ) - Fender Telecaster (blonde finish, "Road Worn" edition) - Jay Turser Acoustic (black+red finish) My first guitar was the acoustic - I've had it since I was twelve. I saved up my money, then went down south to buy my SG ( ). It turns out my parents had already purchased an Epiphone G-400 for me for christmas...so I sold it to get some money for a school trip. Last year, a friend sold me his Xplorer, but I personally am not a fan of the awkward styling (nice sound, though). My Teley is my most recent acquisition; I purchased it from the music store at a twenty-five percent discount because the guy on duty thought it was busted up (but that's just the finish). My fav of my guitars would have to be my SG - it's a beautiful machine with amazing sound.
  7. Want! But first, some questions.... - How much? - Paypal accepted? - Do you ship worldwide (mainly, Canada?)? - If you want to trade, then what for? - MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION: Do the troopers come with helmets and goggles? If not, will you substitute for other headgear? Just a statement: I'm not a fan of trading (I want to buy lego, not send it away!) but will pay good money for these figures and the weapons. Any comments?
  8. Really? They actually put that in there? That is so nerdy! Nice pics though. Thok is excited.
  9. Beat it! Thanks to all that helped.
  10. It's me sig-fig! Nice pumpkin Joey! Happy Halloween (belated now ) to all!
  11. The New Super Smash Bros. - undoubtably the most evil videogame ever - to which Mark....
  12. Yes please.
  13. Best: Medieval Market Village ( ) Worst: Tantive IV (not too exciting - just a big hunka' bricks)
  14. Fighting? Check. Undead Pirates? Check. People dumping barrels of poo? ( ) Check. Looks like everything's in order. What an interesting and inventive MOC. Good work.
  15. I got that brick from a friend for Christmas a while back. I should make a note to thank him again!! What angers me about TRU is how America-centred this latest deal is. Zip here in the Great White North. Not even a 5%-off dealio. Nothing! I had to go to Watertown to get the bricks, and that was an interesting experience in itself....
  16. *ahem* Sorry to revive an old topic, but I'm having a bit of an issue.... I'm at the beginning of the final level in the Hero Joker segment and I just don't know what i'm supposed to do. Where do I go? What's happening? (I feel like an old person at a rap concert) So, if it's not too hard (hehe ) could someone give me a brief walkthrough of the opening of the level? Thanks.
  17. I'm a die-hard trekkie, but I love all sci-fi series, SW included. Just...I love me some Star Trek!
  18. Time marches on? Fantastic creation, such texture and attention to detail. Perhaps you could show us some tips in creating a brick-built base like the one pictured?
  19. Ditto. Now she'll be perfect. (at least when you finish her. )
  20. Excellent! I was going to get it on Friday, but I got sick ( ) , so I'll get it today. Radiohead - You
  21. ...perhaps "copied" is too strong a word. Maybe...attempted?Besides, Lego has taken many of these fellows to court previously.... and lost. Anyways, in the instance of the Megabloks Halo Wars and their recently deceased Pyrates lines, they took clone branding above and beyond cloning - they produced something that was fantastic! JOINTED LIMBS! That means bending arms and legs, not just at the shoulder and waist, but also at the elbow and knee! What's more, they have waists that can rotate 360 Degrees! But, wait, there's more! Their Pyrates theme actually COEXISTED with their Pirates of the Carribean sets - they were combinable for added play! That is pure business genius! Unfortunately, as usual, the quality stinks (think a genius whose fingers get run over by the neighbor's Hummer every day) and often the set ideas are semi-mediocre. Yet, just think what Lego could do if they followed the Megabloks Pyrates example! The money they could make......its depressing.
  22. So curvy, so organic! A perfect snapshot of post-modernism! Fantastic find! Just something else, there's a haunted house (funhouse) near Niagara Falls (ON) that looks almost identical to this....
  23. Very nicely done! I agree, that Neptune just gives me a look that screams "I may be old, but I'll still whup yer megablocks, boyo!" Excellent progress; I can't wait to see the finished ship. My one qualm is that your 36 pounders and 24 pounders are too similar; it took me a few minutes to see the difference (the added two by four plate above the wheels). Perhaps we can see a tad more embellishment (so to say) on the 36 pounders (i.e. some gold leaf, etc?) Perhaps a bit far-fetched, but, IMHO, a good distinction to make. Good work so far.
  24. LIK OMG ID LUV SOME GOLD TANKS> Cause all nine-year-olds talk like this (BTW, math exams aren't that hard, IMHO) Seriously, the Lego Message Boards are directed towards giving everyone a positive feeling about Lego and are meant to cast their products and their product service in a favourable light, thus stimulating the enjoyment of the toys for the young'uns. Let's just be happy that we don't see too many of these fellas around here.
  25. That is pretty badass - without a doubt one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. *Emailed to a couple people - they loved it too!
