  1. My story is a bit longer. I originally entered the lego forum community through a link on Bionicle.com, which lead me to BZPower. After joining there in '06, I stayed for a while, but grew frustrated after set previews that turned up were deleted (as well, there were way too many manga fans for my liking....no offence). After attending a summer camp with member hewkii9 who led me to EB, where the water was warmer and the fish friendlier (BTW, Hinckley, if I find out you made that water warm, I'll be furious). Thus, I joined, and forgot about it for a while. However, after finally deciding I didn't know a slim thing about Bionicle building and returned to EB. And here I am!
  2. Watchmen - Loved it! Rorshach is still the best character. I loved the opening montage set to "The Times are A Changing" - it just fit the spirit of the book. However, the changing of the ending was a bit disappointing, but I think this made more sense.
  3. Very nicely done! You bring honor and recognition to our country's often overlooked feats. I can't wait for your Juno Beach diorama.
  4. Like A Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan.
  5. S'alright. Thanks, though!
  6. Nice go, Brickaholic! Now, where is Lego12.......
  7. Very nice work - the Comedian is the most accurate.
  8. "all along the watchtower...." Nicely done. Simple, yet effective.
  9. U2 - Get on Your Boots Best song from the new album!
  10. Thanks, Lego12! Perhaps an old fort background? I.E. Port Royal. Thanks!!!
  11. I see what you did there. I agree, the absence of lego babies is disturbing. Not only should we have baby lego, we should have a lego baby!
  12. Recently, I began my second series of pirate-related MOCs, so I thought it would be appropriate to get myself a pirate avatar. Alas, I am a dreadful photographer, and I lack the necessary skill (and photoshop). Therefore, I would be most happy if a member of EB could take the tricorned figure in this photo and transform him into an avatar. My only other request is that you do not use that very photo, but one of your own. The figure's contents: - 1 tricorne hat - 1 Thok face (for lack of a better word) - 1 pair blue (or gold..) epaulettes - 1 new redcoat torso - 1 pair of white legs - 1 cutlass - 1 flintlock pistol Thanks in advance!
  13. Watchmen - The Animated Version (I've been cramming for Friday. ) Very well done, essentially the comic book re-written and voiced over. 3 More Days!!!
  14. Thanks, Sly! I am in the midst of making a part 4 - however, I am more focused on my new series. Maybe I won't use ketchup next time....
  15. Best: -Pirates -Castle -City Worst: -Bionicle (even though I used to be mad for it ) -Alpha Team Deep Sea (one, two, three, altogether now...WTF!?!?!?!? What a horrible sequel!) -Star Wars CW (just for the minifigs...Eyes are supposed to be around the nose, not in your hairline!)
  16. Thanks! Perhaps...hmmm, that is food for thought. You've given me an excellent idea, Phes; I shall try it out ASAP. As for the lack of Pirates...well, would you want to be wearing bare arms in the middle of a Canadian winter? I think not. As for all those who followed this series, I do have a new series:Thok's Journey Through the World of the 19th Century. Check it out - I've actually done some real building this time!
  17. Hello, all. After the moderate success of my "Pirates in the Snow" series (with, as Phes mentioned, the only thing missing being Pirates), I've decided to create a British Officer, John Thok. I plan to drag him around the world of the 19th century, starting with his posting to India and all of British Asia. So we begin. Here, newly minted Captain Thok visits India and stands in front of the palace of a Rajah who supports the British rule. He has received a token from the Rajah to prove his (the Rajah's) loyalty. (More India Pics to be added soon) Next, a newly promoted Major Thok inspects a new position taken by the British. A guard with some cannons. "Gentlemen." The Position (imagine the gap between the BURPS as larger and deeper. ) (More Pics to be added soon) Here is a reference pic of Thok and his company. An aerial picture. Comments/Criticism? Links to my previous series in my sig.
  18. Nicely done; but I would suggest that you resize those images before they get removed.
  19. Yep, this was reported with the Toy Fair images. Thanks, though!
  20. PRINCE OF PERSIA!! YES! Thanks for this news!! This just made my day a whole lot brighter!
  21. That was my first post. What a n00b.
  22. I didn't exactly help things, did I? I must make an announcement: for a short (5 day) period, I will not be able to post in the 'Game, however, feel free to include me. ...I don't want to be forgotten about.
  23. That smirky face happens to be my sigfig! Mind you, it is overused. Personally, the only face I have too many of is this: I have way too many of that guy!!
  24. Jungle Sector 15 is a "command center" for Dooku; remember the saying, "keep your friends close and your enemies closer"? That's what Dooku is doing - neutralizing the threat by putting us in a prison cell in his base. ~Thok, an extremely embarassed person. ~
  25. My apologies all. I made a very confusing post. It is meant to be a drug-induced sleep-dream. I will clarify this: we are drugged, however, we are in Sector 15, and we are following what Oky suggested (what I had in mind was pretty bad when I think about it. ). For the last time, it is a dream! Hope I clarified everything. I feel so noobish.
