I must ask, are you planning on making an outpost or a small base to house some of these vehicles? Also, have you considered using the Chrome Power Miners helmets on your BT soldiers? It might off-set the color scheme too negatively, but it might blend with the silver torso detail; perhaps to denote officers?

The Elite Raven and Zeus Command Tank are inspiring. Exactly how I would have pictured the evolution of Blacktron to progress. Thank you for your continuous MoCs... they give this theme's legacy good justice.

I really enjoy your rendition of the GDI Harvester and Titan Mech. The Temple of Nod is also spot-on!

Why this has not been front-paged yet, I have no clue. Absolutely incredible work, it would be a privilege to see this in brick form. The design aesthetic reminds me of classic submarines.

I believe the size of the tower in respect to the rocket is meant to resemble distance, that is what I immediately caught... but I do agree on the color choices. This is an excellent MOC and a historically-accurate model of a Saturn V launch!

While not as thin, the two are comparable by their vertical rhombus-likeness. Very unique MOC! the overall shape of the craft is reminiscent of the Classic Space logo (and variants). Nice work!

These are near-perfect Neo Blacktron MOCs. I am glad you updated your rendition of the theme with those three vehicles, they are fantastic, especially the Sniper Crawler. TLG, take note!

I love the Hebrew name of choice. "Angel". Very fitting. The fighter's aesthetic is stellar. Non-traditional and futuristic construction make this a very realistic and believable successor to modern era fighters. Shalom

In my opinion, the construction of this MOC is a lot more original (and appealing) than the standard ADU models, although it would blend right in because of the proportioned slopes and style! I myself am a big Space fan and collector, and was too discouraged to buy any Alien Conquest sets... but this would be convincing enough model for me to buy. You have an excellent concept!

This Viper reminds me of some of the Andross fighter units from Star Fox 64! Its insect quality is very reminiscent... I especially admire the unique build to the lasers, and the color. This stands out from other Vic Vipers I have seen. I hope you are feeling better now that you're home! Excellent little creation!

I believe the controversy is vacuous. I am oblivious if there was one, but was the public reaction this negative during Belville's original run? My take on the situation: If TLG were to release another Space theme, should I rebel because I don't agree with LEGO releasing a line meant to appeal to those who like Space? Now I understand the argument that some groups, likely feminist, are reacting because they feel subject to prejudice, and that TLG maintains the opinion that girls aren't very interested or involved with the hobby or buyer demographic. It is true that boys from early development are intrinsically prone to employ more aggressive playing behaviors, and that they are more likely to be interested in the abundance of action-themed lines TLG has interminably released. It would only make sense that LEGO remains proactive in expanding their product range for multiple audiences, in this case, girls who are interested in dolls and other themes similar. When I was a kid, (I am a male who was actively interested in Space exploration and Town themes, as well as GI Joe and otherwise considered "male" toys) I held an interest for Belville because of their different color variety and the fact that it was almost stand-alone compared to the other LEGO themes. When I hung out with other friends during that early age, there were many girls that were interested in the LEGO collection I had, including my sister who would steal bricks from my collection to play with in her room. Of course LEGO is a gender-neutral product. It should not offend anyone that LEGO release a theme not meant to restrict to girls, but to expand their product library. I believe the reaction to be utterly ridiculous and unnecessarily sensitive. I commend TLG's work.

I do not own 7066 myself, but I do on occasion deal with similar issues in other sets and MOCs. Have you tried reassembling the canopy piece-by-piece? Perhaps an unevenly placed or projecting brick is causing the windshield to be stressed open? In a worst-case scenario there may be a strained or faulty piece... I hope you are able to find a source to the issue.

I appreciate the next-gen Alienator and its variant, as with the crawler-concepts you've employed for the designs. The globular cockpit designs of Blacktron II have always reminded me of insects, and the various legs and neon-green rounded bits you used pick up from where BTII left off in my opinion. Excellent detail and portrayal, Blacktron!

Very excellent concept, Horry. Ice Planet is one of my favorite themes of all time (and by far my favorite Space Theme), and I have always imagined the team to be an irresolute squad of deep space explorers trying to navigate their way toward proper habitat and safety while battling the chilling elements. It is necessary to have such a heavy dropship for the insertion of such research vehicles, and perhaps for rescue as well. May I suggest more underlying black panels beneath the white? The color scheme and logo plates make this an easily distinguishable IP vehicle, but I believe there needs to be a little more blue and hidden black to break the conforming color scheme up a bit You have a wonderful "starship" aesthetic going on for the White Stallion! The branching plates and dominating white make this reminiscent of an exospheric transport (okay, so maybe the white is a pretty understandable choice...) and I love the mobile lab idea. I would definitely invest in this if LEGO were to release it.

As a young TFOL, I was very intrigued when I discovered the Ice Planet theme. Last year, I accumulated all of the sets excluding the Blizzard Baron and Ice Tunnelator, and I feel extremely fortunate to be able to collect such a prestige theme. My LEGO hobby began when Exploriens was fading, so I was never introduced to the Space themes prior until I discovered a SPII plate in a school LEGO bin as a fourth grader. I'd have to say my number one themes for nostalgic quality are Life On Mars and Insectoids... always.

Hello everyone! This is my first Space MOC, built from a sparse selection of extra pieces I've accrued from my childhood. Not being able to collect the early-nineties Space subthemes because of my infancy, I was first exposed to Blacktron II while digging through my fourth grade teacher's LEGO bin during free time during class. Enamored, I secretly kidnapped two Blacktron II minifigures and a SPII plate, and never returned them (I was quite mischievous!). As I became an avid collector, I made the purchase of several Space Police II minifigures off of bricklink, and was inspired to create this MOC. I am still a novice, but I would appreciate candid feedback as I highly admire the array of creations that are on this website, brickshelf and flickr. I appreciate it! The RR93 (Rocket Rover) Polecat is a second-generation Mobile Rocket Launcher developed in collaboration with the Space Police redesign of 1992. The buggy was noted for its usage of LPIR radar, versatile rocket capabilities, high mobility and its semi-enclosed cockpit. Designed from the chassis of the R92 Ferret, the RR93 was developed alongside Armored Personnel Carrier, Reconnaissance, Criminal Containment, and Railgun R92 variants to combat the rise in Blacktron terrorist activity. The rockets of the Polecat were designed for both surface-to-air and surface-to-surface usage. The Polecat was specifically developed for "hit and run" high-speed mobility with a versatile rocket armament. Because of its lack of close-range capabilities, it is virtually defenseless against ground and specific air targets. Its expensive equipment, small load-out and fragile body is compensated for its high speed capability, easily-repairable frame, and the option of additional composite armor parts. It weighs 1,150 lbs (522 kg). The RR93 is currently no longer in major use, although not retired. Because of the decline of terrorism and the rise of urban and organized crime in exospheric developments, the Space Police currently reserve the vehicle for trade and potential conversion. It is known that many of the vehicles have been scrapped for recycling and conservation of materials in developing more modern equipment. I hope you like it! I apologize for the lack of photo quality... I used a camera phone and it isn't the greatest. Have a wonderful day!

This theme is quickly becoming nostalgic for me... What intrigues me the most about Alien Conquest are the homages this theme gives to my late-nineties childhood. The theme is very reminiscent of UFO and Insectoids, and the atmosphere of the theme reminds me greatly of Rampage: Universal Tour and Destroy All Humans; not to mention, AC gives the vibe of a truly legendary theme in the works. I can't really explain the feeling. Maybe it's the mystic box art and wide variety of amazing characters and vehicles? At first glance of the minifigures I wasn't too thrilled, mostly because of the cartoonish Alien grunt and the baby blue-clad "defender". However when I think about it, this play theme really brings me back to the secret receptacles of my space-crazed childhood. All I can say is that I am beyond ecstatic :)

I really love the look of the Pizza Place you captured here. Looks like one of those outer-city pizza places that not many know about, but still makes the best around. I cannot sum up what I like most about this. Everything is just beautiful, from the sun shade to the Italian-influenced architecture; from the ceiling fans to the wooden floorboards and interior. This is just perfect.

I have only played the original, and I loved that game. Although I own a Wii, I do not own Brawl. Perhaps I should invest in buying it?

The Great Fox is one of the most beloved and recognized star ships from my childhood You created an excellent model my friend! I just didn't know that the Halberd was that large in comparison!! Excellent job!!
-
I just love this. The layout and style remind me of a steam punk-esque space expedition. The uniforms and air apparatus' are capital, not to mention their muskets rigged with axe heads Reminds me of Jules Verne and English arctic exploration at the same time!

I entered my dark ages following the 2003 World City line, and came out of my dark ages following the release of the BIONICLE Toa Inika in 2006. The new play features advanced my interest in LEGO, and it was not long before I was collecting SYSTEM themes again, such as Mars Mission and Power Miners. I am currently collecting Space sets both new and old, Atlantis, and I am saving up for an Imperial Flagship

This ship is really smooth and the dynamics are very flowing! My favorite sections are the wings (specifically the placement of the navigation lights) and the thrusters in the back! It is very original and creative!

Ah, it's a shame I knew that Obama wanted to cancel the program, but I wasn't sure if the decision was fully resolved! Maybe someday... However, I agree that TLG may still be experimenting with concept manned launch vehicles, namely an Ares I look-a-like! One can hope!
-
I am not 100% certain on this, but is anyone else getting the vibe that TLG may be making a model based off of the Ares I? Project Constellation will be in effect very soon, so it would make sense for LEGO to base their designs off of the program, as they have based their sets in the past on their respective spaceflight techniques (such as the Space Shuttle from Launch Command, and Space Port; Saturn V from Classic Space and Town themes).
