  1. I love the chapel, you know, from San Marcos de la Florida. You have a very interesting fort there Now you should build the "Fort Matanzas", and then you will finish to protect your LDD San Augustin, before you have to change the name of your Fort to "Fort Marion" or "Fort St. Mark"
  2. agreed, it a shame the pirate theme was interrupted again so soon I don't like the idea of another franchise, especially Disney, flesh colors, the same "hero" in every set, and the ghoulish and fish heads is not a good idea. BUT, if this is necesary to revive the pirate topic, be welcome I think that every day, the AFOLs becomes the the largest consumer group, And in my case, when I was a child, I didn't have money to bought everything I wanted, but now, with the 2009 pirate collection, I made my retribution and if I had to choose a theme/franchise to develop, as PoP that came from a video game, I would choose Sid Meier's pirates!
  3. I'll going to tell you a secret ...... ...............................I took the pictures with my cell phone And though my camera is dead, I wanted to share how to make a concertina/accordionan, because I promised in another post And as you can "see" , make it is very easy, and you know, any question, be my guest
  4. I prefer the idea that because they are redcoats
  5. great design, and very good variety of types of cannons, the only odd thing are the windows, I know you can improved it, in the LDD or with bricks
  6. Why the trooper needs a water supply tank if they are in the middle of the ocean? :pir-laugh:
  7. In fact, I thought that the Concertina (and the accordeon too) had been developed much earlier than that were made, and I was surprised it was so new and that many movies, games and attractions used accordions and concertinas in piracy topics. An error of timing, I think
  8. I agree with you. Im spanish as well, and "Corredor del tesoro" sounds very very strange... You may have to baptize again your ship! "Corredor del tesoro", or just the word "Corredor", has different meanings; "runner" could be one, closer but not enough. But I guess, in the context, could be mean: "hall", "passage", "lane", even "way". so, "Corredor del tesoro" or "El Corredor del Tesoro" is more like a name for a comercial route than a ship. About change the name, remember, it can give bad luck . I named my 6280 - Armada Flagship "El Caballo Loco" ... ("The Crazy horse" ) instead of "Santa Cruz" And about the ship, is big, and well designed; it gives chances to be it very detailed

  12. thanks for the comments :pir-laugh: :pir-laugh: I knew that it would like it here is the easy peasy concertina tutorial please, be my guest
  13. A concertina is a free-reed musical instrument, like the variousaccordions and the harmonica. It has a bellows and buttons typically on both ends of it. When pressed, the buttons travel in the same direction as the bellows, unlike accordion buttons which travel perpendicularly to it. Also, each button produces one note, while accordions typically can produce chords with a single button. The concertina was developed in England and Germany, most likely independently. The English version was invented in 1829 by Sir Charles Wheatstone and a patent for an improved version was filed by him in 1844. The German version was announced in 1834 by Carl Friedrich Uhlig. this is a tipical Concertina Now, what really matters... the tutorial... ingredients... 1- a piece of paper, with a straight edge 2- a ruler (centimeters of course) 3- glue (the common one, not industrial, we don't want mess) 4- pen or pencil 5- scissors 6- two flat Tile 1x1 7- Minifg Consertina player the color of the paper is on your likes for your concertina step 1 draw a line of 14 cm by 0.5 cm, using the straight edge of the paper, and then, draw segments of 0,5 cm on all the paper line I used squares of 0.5 cm because the Flat Tile is 0.7 cm, and so the paper does not exceed the brick step 2 fold the piece of paper in to a zig-zag, and then, cut in the half step 3 crossover each zig-zag, but perpencicular, this is how gives the body to the concertina step 4 paste only the last two sides of each zig-zag (use only a little glue ) step 5 now, only remains to put a little glue on the Flat Tiles, providing a grip to the hand of the musician and that's it, you have a concertina, and so your crew will have something else to distract now.. 3,2.., 1..... "Fifteen men on the dead man's chest-- ...Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum! Drink and the devil had done for the rest-- ...Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!" remember, the player can't have hooks.... Questions, comments, (improvements) any you want!!!
