  1. a promise is a promise! first of all, I apologize for the quality of pictures, but I think you can appreciate the idea. materials: - paper - pencil - pen - scissors - compass (drafting), if not, you can use a coin or a rounded plate - hole puncher - glue - ruler start: 1.draw three little circles on the paper. their radius is as long as your minifig wants see: 2. cut them, and punch the center 3. cut a radius to the center, and start folding the paper like an acordeon. before that, you can draw a pattern on the edge 4. once the paper was folded, start glued every one with each other, like a chain 5. now, it is ready to use, but you will see a big hole on the center, so, you will need fold it again, and when you put the necklace on the minifig, you sould press it with the minifig head 6. when you finished, you'll see something like this: P.S. the Hand fan will be sold (or made) separately look carefully, this design can be used in Rio or in the Mardi Grass
  2. thanks all the comments... The left hand wasn't cut, but it was petrified and lost the movement when a piece of lead had severed one of his nerve. I'm starting the tutorial tutorial ready
  3. Greetings!! I was reading again the Don Quijote de la Mancha, by the way, I recomend it:thumbup:!!! and I start to looking about the battle of Lepanto, and Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, who wrote that book, And I found this picture: And I have to say that I like that "Isabeline necklace" for the high class, and like one of my last topic: The Concertina, I'll try to made on paper, and there it is: closer, as my avatar... now, Cervantes at the library (before Lepanto), If somebody tell me why that picture is before lepanto, I'll make the tutorial :pir-wink:
  4. I assure you that it is very easy to vote for the redcoats, because appear in more time than any other faction, plus have the support of the new ones but the old one are hardly original , because copied the bluecoats , and most of the new ones could be made it in cheap plastic , that is not a trouble at all , but the hands with the yellow/lime green isn't great the bluecoats could be nostalgic, but if you look closely, you could see the first clone army of TLG, many years before Star Wars We should recognize to the bluecoats the introduction of the Flintlock Musket , the eppaulettes , the shakos and the backpacks , but they stay short with the expressions of their faces . the old redcoats, don't introduced nothing new at all , and the new ones, despite having new faces (with pupils on his eyes) and a new design on their backs and in their shakos, doesn't have backpacks , and still been practicaly the same design But the Armada... the smallest and bravest faction . Like the islanders:kahuka:, The Armada seems that doesn't had the full support of TLG, a few colections in a few years, but with the Armada, TLG introduce the morrion helmet, symbol of conquest and expansion:pir-sad2:, but also of exploration and adventure ; bearded faces  , with all the taste 16th century fashion, the shiny plate, that reminds me the movie The Mission (1986) (If you don't see it yet, I recomend it) and the colorfull ship, that before being built seems meaningless , but in the end is one of the most beatifull ship made from TLG I can bet now that you know for wich faction I'll vote? Larga vida a la Armada!
  5. I spy... with my littel eye.... a blackcoat guy!!!! great ship!!
  6. congrats, great MOC, I like the wooden trunks in the top of the fort, also the crane. But I have to ask, Why a resting dummy on the floor of the fort? the desk with the ink and the pole to rest his hat, they are a great touch!
  7. I have seen in previous posts, that many have wanted to build kingdoms with maps and potential board games, wigh is great!!! but, to make the collecion from TLG ships, you will need to have a lot of money, and I think the micro scale can save space and money!, fulfilling their needs!!! so, I started to scribble someting like the pirate plank on LDD so, the pirate plank, easy to copy, then, the Armada Flagship and then, the IFS 10210, or something like that if you want to sink those ships, the LDD file has been attached barcos.zip
  8. I love make factions, and you describe it very well , but I think it should customize many of the servants of some realms, so, you sould put some pictures of them, just to figure it out
  9. that bluecoat could be new , but not a new design and, if it's made in cheap plastic...well, is a redcoat that is disguised
  10. Interesting adaptation and great idea:thumbup: , but you need a lot space, and money too, but your idea is very interesting. I think is a little hard collect some ships from lego, instead, we can use the micro ships, for saving space and money I like the ships of Pirate Plank, with microfigs instead of the minifigs, but I can bet that here, on eurobricks there a lot more microships that have been designed and by the way, it would be good if the managers could make an index of micro designs
  11. a new armada , wow, lovely!! :pir-wub: I hope that TLG doesn't use the flesh color , but I think that they can use the new orange and brown - dark brown for the uniforms oh!!, how I want a new armada, with their new ships and the new minifigs!!! Larga vida a la Armada
  12. Hard to tell, specially because I don´t have the entire collection, but if I have to choose, I choose 6257 Pirate Mini Figures was my first pirate set, and full of action: two soldier, two pirates (one with a hook and a peg leg), a wench, and the new (now not that new), flintlock pistol and rifle, swords, treasure chest, parrot and gold coins. I have to added that the pirates were the first to have more than a happy face
  13. I chose that flag because it is one of the most colorful, just as is the Armada ship. Usually the redcoats and bluecoats sides makes a reminiscent of the Napoleonic era , but that is a long time after pirates , between all factions, the Armada is the nearest to the era of the pirates, in particular by the use of armor and morion helmet, instead of shako. If I would like that TLG develop a new faction BlueCoat:pir-sweet:, I would be more happy seeing a new Armada, more minifigs and differents Galleons
  14. simple and cool, I like it
  15. I have always had the idea of creating factions , and I think this is a good post to discuss it here are my ideas : ------------------------------ soldiers --------------------------------- bluecoats (of course) the commander: redcoats (can be split in two, new ones and oldies) the commander and\or The mighty Armada the commander ------------------------------ pirates --------------------------------- These can be divided into pirates and privateers, the latter being loyal to a kingdom pirates (flags) privateers bluecoats privater: redcoat privateer: Armada privater: (the hardest to choose from , personally I like this ) capitains (they can be pirates or privateers at will): (you shoul change the face of this one , just to avoid repeat) Turkish \ arabic pirate I want it chinese pirates ------------------------------ islanders --------------------------------- about the flag of the natives, I personally think that they shouldn't have, because the culture of the symbolism of the flag is not characteristic of natives but they have one! and about the natives, I see two types, the classic and new ones clasics new ones ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- that's it folks!!!
  16. very good desing and amazing crew the "cho ku nu" (crossbow) weapons makes the boat feel of the Middle Ages, but the "Dao" sword with red feathers was used by pirates ( nice done by the way), I think, you should add cannons , and would be a success if they have the dragon head. and about the ship, the sails and the interiors, they are very well done
  17. I see the new bluecoats comming! great decals!
  18. You can be use them as target practice for bluecoats or pirates, but if you want to keep as lobsters, well you can put as sailors (without shakos) or gunners, I guess
  19. you made a good fort , and you sould built Fort Matanzas, is more easy than San Marcos you sould look at this post that Superkalle made, I'm sure it will serve you
  20. don't worry about the name!!! the ship is already nice and it keeps looking like a Galeon
  21. this is a clear representation that in every island, there is a strong well armed BlueCoat!
  22. agreed I love the sleeves decals
  23. oh thanks, I'm flattered of course, be my guest!
  24. Why so serious Professor Trelawney? which is under the Professor Trelawney?
