  1. To operate a servo motor you need a microcontroller or servo controller unit. It works with pulses to get to the required position. HS-55 How does servo's work
  2. Scrollbar of the brick selector should work in a "normal window" way. When you click in the scrollbar in any window program, the page is scrolls up/down 1 page, so you can see the following part. When you click in the scrollbar in LDD, it jumps to that part of the list. This is not very practical when you have a lot of bricks displayed in the selection part. Dragging the scrollbar is a time consuming option. If I want to go to the end of the list, you can drag the selector to the end.
  3. I can confirm the "problem" When I use my old PC (Medion Pentium D 3.0 Ghz / 1 Gb memory) Loading a file with 2500 bricks takes about 7 seconds Loading a file with 512 8x4 plates (representing 16 baseplates) takes about 5 seconds Loading a file with 16 baseplates takes 110 seconds LDD uses 100ยจ% CPU times during loading. LXF files attachted in ZIP file. Added lxf files in link. 512 plates 8x4.lxf 16 baseplates 32x32.lxf I can't upload lxf files as attached file. Can this be fixed. Lxf is a standard LDD file format LDD.zip
  4. Full backwards compatibility please. Add bricks, don't remove them. Move them to the universe part or so. A lot of the older version LDD (from the Lego site downloaded), doesn't work as they should. Message: older format > several bricks are removed. All the effort for making a digital copy, so you could rebuild it later, is lost.
  5. Clever! Must remember that one.
  6. Is there no paint on the E1109, the yellow tube on the corner of the window. Or is it a yellow tube, kept in place with a string? Peter
  7. Very nice locs. Pitty some things need some paint to show it like the original. On the other hand, Lego itself uses stickers if it doesn't fit. Also more nice MOC's on your flickr page.
  8. Nice and easy idea. Belug members are developing a simular (non lego) system, for steam train sounds. The sound changes with the speed. This should also be possible in a brick format.
  9. Hi, I would like to be registered as a train builder. I mostly build trains as a scale model starting from blueprints. This means 6 wide and almost 50 stud long cars. I like the Belgian trains the most
  10. When you build more complex MOC's (like SNOT construction inside small area's eg a trainbody), and you want to change the inside part, you can use the hide button to make the inside visible. My problem is that the bricks are not visible, but still count as a possible barrier to place new bricks. Sometimes a brick can't be placed, because a invisible brick is in the way. The invisible brick that is touching the new brick to be placed, should light up (or show the light blue outline, so you can see what the problem is. Alternative: make a second type of hide: hide the bricks so you can see throu them, but show the outline. These bricks may not be selectable. Simply show them where they are
  11. Yes that's the plan. As soon as my brick order arrives, I can build a real one.
  12. Hi, Here my first Belgian Loc. It is a type 101 / Series 29 from the NMBS This loc was first in service in 1949. It is in the standard 2 color green paint. The inside puzzle The real loc
  13. Hi, Here Winny Pooh bear. A MOC I created a while ago, with all the "illegal" technics, such as technic bricks 1x1, headlights & old mod plates 4081a. When I tried to create a building instruction in LDD, the trouble began from the start. After redesigning the "pooh" letter mosaic, by making use of the latest new bricks, I was able to create the instruction. The lxf My link
  14. Hi, This is a replica of the first electrical engine of the Belgian NMBS. The type is 101 or serie 29 later It was first in service in 1949. It is in the 2 color green paint. As soon as a saw the engine, I know I had to build it sometime. Now I did it. The most difficult thing are the ventilation on the side, that are 1/2 plate appart & stick out 1/2 plate to the rest of the loc. Many tries later I had a prototype. Only it used the technic brick 1x1 and headlights in the, according to LDD, illegal way. So I redesigned the complete inner side of the engine. Now I am waiting for my ordered bricks to arrive, to build it in real. I will post foto's afer my vacation My lxf file is here R29 - T101 The inside
