  5. "Oh give me one second," Lacy says as she walks back into the house. Moments later, she returns with a wide eyed child, who gives the biggest smile when he sees Vindsval. "Vindsval!" Luke shouts as he scrambles up onto the giant's shoudlers. He looks down, seeing the change to his hero. "What happened to your arm?" "Unfortunately, Daniel passed away a few months ago, so Lacy and I took him in as our own after she and I married. I was elected mayor right after you saved Tridentia, mainly for getting Heroica out here to help. The island has since prospered. And there have been no reports from any villagers of some beasts. We haven't pushed much farther into the forest after the whole sorcerer situation, but we're growing slowly." The explorer looks both ways, as if the beast would appear and leans in towards Warlen. He whispers, "It just cut his head off. The claws came in and just shut, like a pair of scissors." "Also, if you Heroes need anything, feel free to buy some supplies at my shop."   6. "It supposedly can heal people with just small doses, but me and my company are not interested in that. We're more interested in the rich color of the flower. According to who we're painting for, the flower may even be able to heal as it's painted on the walls. Spooky, if you ask me." "It was huge! There were the large claws," the explorer explains as he trembles. "There was a large tail, or what I think was a tail, that swung to and from with such force it knocked some of the trees down around us. We didn't even see if the flower was there. This beast just crawled out of the forest. It's right claw just snipped my brother's head off, like a florist would snip a rose." "Is that supposed to be directed at me?" Rose shot a glare at Virgil. "We were able to get out into the forest pretty far out. Past the old orchard and cemetery. We were maybe an hour's walk from them or so when the beast came down upon us." "Vindsval? Miderun?" a familiar voice calls out as a man exits his house. "Is it really you two? What are you doing here?" The tailor walks up to the party and sees the other Heroes. "More Heroes? Pleased to meet you, I'm William Morris, the mayor of Tridentia." William turns around and calls into the house he just came from. "Sweetheart! Look who it is!" A woman with flaming hair steps out out of the house, her eyes wide and an equally wide grin coming to her face. "Well who would have thought two of our old friends would return to Tridentia?"

  8. The ship sets off towards the south, bringing two returning heroes to the land of their first quest. Finally the ship arrives in Tridentia at the docks. Now, the docks are filled with tradeships. There's even some militia raiding a smugglers' ship. Fabio leads the Heroes into the town square of Tridentia. The place is bustling. People are milling about and selling wares. More importantly the color is still here. "Ah, brother, you've returned," a redheaded man calls out as the party approach. "We were worried you had gone missing." His eyes flick to the Heroes. "And you've brought help. Finally." "Javier and I were worried sick." "Don't worry, Rose," Fabio gently says. "And as you see, I've brought the Heroes. Rose and Javier, meet Vindsval, Miderun, Warlen, Actaeon, and Annienal. They will be the brave, beautiful souls to help us recover the gold lotus." "They're going to need more than bravery if they want to recover the gold lotus," a gruff voice remarks. "Heroes, hopefully this threat is gone but if it is not, we could not take the risk to lose any of us. We are not nearly as brave as you. Do you have any questions?" "We're so sorry about what happened to your brother, Virgil. But you both knew what you signed up for." "No we didn't. We thought we were getting paid to go find a silly plant for some stupid mural. Instead, one of us lost our heads. My younger brother at that! How can I tell his bride-to-be that Lyle is now... how would you say?" "Lost his head over her?" The explorer glares at Fabio.
  9. "It's a legendary flower, told to have mythical properties of healing. Maybe it's divine like my hair and really can heal people, but that's what the legends say. Now, due to its mystical golden properties, my brother and I assume that we can crush it up into a dye and use it for painting. It may even have healing properties in a dye form, if it can heal properly. You have no idea the trouble I've gone through arranging the funds for this expedition. As for the beast, I pray it's not there anymore. If this creature is there, you are more than welcome to kill it. On one condition: don't completely destroy the beast. I want to pose with it and have some of our painters paint a dashing visual artwork of me fighting this beast off holding one, or two, of these lovely female companions here." "Oh the list is too long to state them. I'm sure you've seen at least a few of them. But yes, decapitated. Only one man was killed, poor Lyle. His brother Virgil did ask the Tridentians if there was any scary creature in the forest, but they have not seen any." Fabio then was interrupted by the captain who whispered into his ear. The blonde man then looked back at the Heroes. "It seems the captain wants us to start sailing now, but he waits for your word. Give your say and we will be off to Tridentia."
  10. "Why the Sumeros are an excellent group of artists. Murals, paintings, book covers, everything. Currently we've been contracted out to make an amazing mural for this lovely home." "Oh of course, Mr. Melimane.The painting business has done a lot for my family." "Maybe you've seen me on some book covers. I not only run the business side, but I'm also our head model." "Come aboard the ship, and I'll explain." The Heroes follow Fabio onboard. "There's a beast out there. A big hulking beast. Larger than this.. giant orc here amongst you. We didn't even get to see it, and poor Lyle the Tall, he was one of the explorers we hired to go find the gold lotus. He was decaptitated by this beast, right in front of his brother Virgil the Bold. Apparently it made some vibrant colors." "Oh what a shame, we have done some marvelous work."
  11. Kiray watched the Ranger she grew to call a friend leave for his latest quest. She looked back out to the rest of Hall, wondering why it had grown so quiet recently.
  12. The Heroes all arrive at the Docks at relatively the same time. There, they see a brown wooden ship, trimmed with black. Various sailors and workers are bustling around on the ship loading and unloading cargo. A seagull lands on the railing only to be quickly shooed away by what looks like the captain of the ship. The seagull squawks and flaps its wings away. Then, a glint of light catches the Heroes' eyes. They look to the left on towards the poopdeck. They see the glint is coming from a small, blue gem held by a man in a darker blue shirt and bright green pantaloons. His eyes hold a look of aloofness under the mop of blonde hair on his head. "There they are! Some of Heroica's finest warriors!" The man casts an eye towards Miderun and Annienal. "And some of the prettiest ones if I might add." The blonde man pockets the gem and walks down towards the gangplank and waves the Heroes on and they follow. "My name is Fabio Sumero. My brother Javier posted the notice about the acquisition of some of the rare dyes from the island of Tridentia." Fabio bows low to the Heroes in greeting. He then looks to the two women and says to the entire group, but directed towards the girls, "Perhaps you've seen some of the Sumero Family's work." Fabio then casually pushes a stray lock of hair back. "Do any of you have any questions?"
