Heroica RPG - Quest #146: Red is the Bloodiest Color
KotZ replied to KotZ's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I've been good. It's strange not seeing Vindsval here. Have you heard from him?" "Honestly, I can't say. Captain Grayson would have a better say. He leads the Tridentian Defense Force. I'm sure your training would be good. I think he really has just been looking for people who had been in battles and could part some wisdom on the militia. Any experience is good experience in my opinion, though." "Probably two weeks. We've been pretty careful avoiding the raiders that have been sailing pretty close to us. They've been harrassing our ships and have actually taken some. If we do run into any trouble, it's a good thing we have some good warriors with us!" -
Flora would have some major explaining to do then...
-
There's big plans for Luke, specifically involving Vindsval.
-
There was a stiff breeze in the air as the Heroes exited the Hall and made their way to the Eubric docks. One by one they stepped onto the wooden planks and approached a blue vessel. She was a smaller ship, and there were mounted ballistae towards the bow. They seemed almost out of place, the ballistae, as if they were hastily added on. There were two figures conversing on deck, a man with long hair in a sleeveless shirt and someone who looked to be a young teenager with a staff. Interesting company perhaps. The older man saw the Heroes from the corner of his eye and looked at them, a wide grin coming to his face. "There they are!" he exclaimed in a gruff voice. He turned to a bosun. "Tell the boys to get the ship ready for cast off!" He returned his eyes to the Heroes. "Welcome aboard, valiant Heroes. I hope you are able to find it comfortable on The Golden Lotus, lead vessel of the Tridentian Defense Force. I am Captain Vernon Slate, commander of this crew. Here at my side is--" "Two of them know who I am, captain," Luke Zent finished. His voice cracked every fourth or so syllable. He was growing. "Annie and Warlen were with us the last time our home requested help from Heroica. The other three are new to me." Luke bowed his head awkwardly. He seemed to still need to grow into his body. Still childlike movements, but there was promise. "For you other three, my name is Luke Zent. My adopted father is the mayor of Tridentia." "Looks like a group of all sword fighters. I like that." "Not so, captain. It seems one of our allies here is a mage." He directed his gaze to Calamity. "I'm glad to see my father's message didn't turn away all the magic users. I myself am a cleric. Also, who here is your party leader?" "Once you have that decided, are there any questions?" Magically, a scroll appears on the quest board. On it, it states: I'll have the quest thread up in a few hours. Finish up any deals in the Hall/marketplace and let's have fun.

Because onions have layers, and fantasy/scifi are classified as the same genre in Barnes and Noble. So Shrek is basically scifi.
-
FTFY.
-
It's this cultural icon that transcended extremely fast. If anything the legend surrounding Star Wars is as interesting as the actual story.
-
People have been saying it's the best Star Wars film in thirty years, but people were also excited after Episode I came out. Although most places I've seen are saying The Force Awakens is actually good. I'm seeing it Sunday.

Really? After all of that Day 1 trouble? This is good news. Maybe now I can try to hit that low note I can never seem to get. Vote: Anthony Dixon (jluck)
-
Any updates on claims, Molly? I'd rather not vote until we have a better understanding of where we stand, unless I really need to vote now. I think Ray makes an interesting point on Woodcock, but perhaps the strongest lead points towards Mike just because of the weird things. I mean, I understand communication can be difficult, but I think it was a weird decision for you to reach out like that this early in the game. I'm going to wait another hour or two before I cast my vote. If Molly doesn't bring anything by then to the forefront then I'm voting for you, Mike. Sorry.
-
Oh thank goodness. Want a hug? Or is the sweat putting you off? Could it be Ewan is actually scum and is trying to deflect the damage to an innocent, possibly even a power role? Although the next day if it turned up Elijah was town we would turn on Ewan, but he could claim that he was just citing statistics and everyone else ran with it. Gah this hurts my sweat-filled head.
-
Sorry, I meant your vote and changing fairly Day 1, not my statements. As for me not speaking as much, I felt I had said my piece, didn't see what more I could add as it would then sound as if I was just parrotting other people.
-
That looks pretty cool, Kintobor. How long have you been working on that? Anyone else get sort of nervous jitters (in a good way) right before they host a quest? I'm getting some and I'm really excited to start 146 as I'm tweaking some of the builds and NPCs right now.
-
I found it normal Day 1 activity, trying to get a lynch. Others mentioned you changed your opinion and not just your vote. Honestly it did not bother me that much (this sweat on the otherhand is bothering). I would have you know I made a mental note of your "opinion" change as others put it.
-
That's really interesting, I never knew that. Thanks for that!
-
Damn it, he's town. Mr. Johnson, seeing that you wrote about some messages, how much trust could you put in the sender and those it was discussed about? I remember yesterday there was some votes against Anthony. Also to those who were mentioned/accused, I've seen some of you speak up (Julia). Any reason we should not target you later in the day?

We've had school mocs and house mocs, but I think it's time someone combined them into something found on college campuses all around: a frat house, filled with all of the stereotypes one would find, just like in Animal House. So I present the Lambda Gamma Omega fraternity house, also called the LEGOs. Come and join the party, you're on the guest list! First, let's take a tour around the exterior of the house. It looks pretty clean out here, strange. Uh oh... There's the stereotypical messy frat house we've all seen! On the second floor, there are seven bedrooms and one bathroom. The meeting room looks pretty clean. I wonder why... Oh that's right! The pledges just cleaned it and are now cleaning the dance floor. And here is the hazement basement. Let's meet some of the members of this hose. First we have four pledges fixing the tv... I mean bonding. And here's the angry pledge trainer and an eager active, both with paddles. Out in the front yard is an active and his girlfriend practicing their short game on the front lawn. Oh no! The dean of students and a police officer have come by the house citing "noise complaints" and some pesky violations. Don't worry, the president of the chapter is here to talk to them, along with the risk manager who... well... is managing the risk? Shirtless? There's always that one brother who studies even during a party. Or at least tries to. Maybe we should give them some privacy. What party doesn't have a tiny pool? A scared freshman tries to talk to a sorority girl and her little. The little seems to find it cute. A pledge working the bar, ready to serve up some trashcan punch. Various brothers all talking to the ladies. Of course there's always the guy in a toga at every event, and his girlfriend. Notice to the left of screen is the guy who grabs things he shouldn't when he drinks. Every stereotypical chapter has one of those guys. That freshman doesn't look to be having such a good time. And she takes a selfie with him! If there aren't any pictures, were you even there? Finally, I wanted to show off a few details, like the bathroom here. The Greek columns with the letters of the fraternity on top. And the big wooden letters to be used at various philanthopy events. I hope you all had a laugh reading this and enjoy the moc. I had a blast designing this one.

Yup, I should have corrected that when I replied. Sorry for that.
-
I agree. Seems like a good reason just to take note of him and see what happens tomorrow and what he says. There's a difference between a loud personality and being scummy. Difficult but it is possible. It's been a relatively quiet first day. It would be nice to hear from some people.
-
Please don't let this hurt. That will just make me sweat more. Or maybe that's a good thing. What? I think I see your point. My only worry is that if his personality is like this, who's to say it's not a way to ignore him or for the scum (if he's not one) to place blame on him? I won't vote for him just because it does seem personality based but it might be worth it to keep an eye on him. That seems like a pretty weird way to claim. Could be neutral. Maybe you're vanilla, but claiming that early seems a weird move. It doesn't register right with me. Vote: Perce Triggs (Tachyon)

I guess we should warm up those vocal muscles.

Sleeper agents? Ah this will make my sweating even worse. And this cold just makes the sweat cold. Anyone want to hug me to keep me warm?
