It can't really be any bigger, since the entire structure is going to go on top of these latest rooms. If it were bigger it would stick out kind of weirdly... And the secret passage under the throne is actually inspired by throne room in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
-
Update: The King's Regent: Imir Klaue, fourth in line to the throne. Don't tell anyone, but there's a secret opening hidden under the stone throne.
-
Update: Well, you've probarbly already guessed what this is. That's right! It's the kitchen! More to follow.

This wall looks amazing! I love the pattern running across it and the fountain.

Actually there's only going to be one central entry point. The statue there also serves a defensive purpose. Attackers are forced to go around it, slowing them down a bit and giving the defenders more oppurtunities to strike them down.

New box of parts! Hooray! Anyway, let's get building! Initial design for this statue of The Fallen Knight: End result: (If you're wondering what changed: it's the tree. I had to make it shorter, or it wouldn't fit...) Expect more updates soon.

Loads of new parts arrived! I soon regreted having dumped them all in one place... Anyway, front: Back: Then the important Technic-bit: (The bricks on the axle are there as a counterweight.) (The Technic bush prevents the gear from turning back, the lever was added so once the bridge was raised it can be lowered again. :P ) Oh, yes, the back again, in case you were wondering how that was progressing. And the front: As you might be able to tell according to my initial design I was planning on adding the roof here, with easy access to the lever. But the entire structure had to be raised a couple of bricks so the bridge could be drawn in completely. And, ladies and gentlemen, the finished structure: (It's obviously quite tall for minifig standards...) And here are two lovely shots of the gate drawn up: That's it, I'll keep you guys informed on further progress of my Bastion. The idea for this drawbridge originated from a book I recently bought: THE LEGO IDEAS BOOK, YOU CAN BUILD ANYTHING! Just in case people thought the mechanism looked familiar.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I'm currently designing the next layer which will feature a small kitchen among other things. It's almost complete, so I'll start buying brick again soon.
-
Brickcount is currently approximately 5400. Well, I did say it's a long-term project. :P

@Abu Dun: No one said the Lion Kingdom were the good guys. @Venunder: That might take a while.
-
New stuff added: (Apologies for the poor lighting.) Two squires wearing symbols of the Old Lion Kingdom. Members of Highborn Houses still carry this symbol of their countries rich history. :)

This was never meant to look realistic, it's started out as something that's supposed to be as close to the style of the official sets as possible. If you're wondering why there's a bit hanging over, it's all to do with the next layer of the central tower. (Part of the current layer this update also belongs to.) Which also means, that yes, I assembled it incorrectly in that last photo. Er-...

Onwards it is: The end result! Now for some interior. Needs some books yet: Miniaturised version of what the bastion will look like once completed: Sick"ward" with medicinal plant, knife and some potions. Treasury: No, it's not a throne: It's for weapon storage!: So, where does all this go? (Yes, I know it's sticking out a bit. I'm still in the process of collecting bricks to work on the other sections.)
-
Well, it's been a while, but I finally amassed the 2300+ bricks needed to continue work on the next floor. I thought I might as well take some snapshots as the building progresses: At this point I couldn't help but wonder what on earth the LDD building guide was thinking, but oh well. Which brings us to: Yes, thank you LDD, this makes sense. I'll continue work later today/tomorrow and keep you guys informed.
-
I bought it. I'll send you a PM with further details. Also, I'd like to note that I'm currently designing the floor that will come beneath the current structure. (And no, that's not the basement.)

The idea for this construction started out when I had two sets Outpost Attack, they looked good together, forming a tower, but I felt it was kind of missing something. What I set out to do was create something that maintained as many elements from the original Kingdoms sets while being a bit more "solid" as it were.
-
Hey, I'm currrently working on a bastion based on the Kingdoms-line. There's still a lot yet to be done, including walls, but I thought I should share it with you guys. :) It's currently composed of four sets 7948 and some extra bits. The current "ground floor" opens up to reveal: Comments would be appreciated.

Supreme Systemlord Ra with Anubis-guards! I love Stargate and this MOC is brilliant.
-
Thanks! I based the stripepattern on the wings on the pattern visible from the side of the racer of the original. Also, those slopes at the end of the upper wings and next to the windscreen will be replaced with the decorated ones with the number 4 on it.
-
Hi! I've always loved Octan and I've always loved Space. Thus a spaceversion of 6546 was born! I tried to keep in as many elements from the original as I was building away. Hope you guys like it as well.

Cornelius Murdock - 2 kost u grlu - 2 cecilie - 1 A lot of good enteries. Good luck everyone!
-
Oh, my, Wait until July! And that Dragon's "gate" I must see more to discern its fate.
-
That looks amazing! I particularly like the asymmetry of the wings (top two compared to bottom two). (I read "My precious model..." lol

Is your next build going to be the Destiny itself?
