tchuk-norst replied to tchuk-norst's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
No it's not modified at all. I really wish the piece was in dark bluish gray as well.- 9 replies

There is a fog upon the battlefield. The broken bodies of men and machine lay limp on the bloodied ground. The battered remains of battle machines still hiss out smoke. This waste, this destruction, could be caused by only one thing: The Goblin. In response to the Attatech III, the Central Machines X was born and bred for total warfare. With four massive 6 cm cannons, four missle lauchers, and reverse-seated machine gunners, the Goblin is a veritable walking fortress. Here is an aged photo, which, as you know, I like to do. Here is the valiant crew! I hope you enjoy. More pictures on Brickshelf.

This is a really well-built model! I love the look!
-
I really love the colors here. Nice combo!

Thank you, yes it is retractable, but I give all credit to the design of the landing gear to Jon Hall on flickr. I pretty much copied the landing gear on one of his Sky-fi planes for this MOC. He was the single greatest inspiration for my Sky-fi MOCs.

Built by the greatest minds from Atta-tech, Dagger's Edge is the deadly, Imperial-made counterpart to Emuir's Breath. It's pilot is Lord Jelerek Bovin, a Premier Knight of the Emperor. And, as per usual, here's an aged photo. C/C is appreciated. More photos on my Brickshelf (when moderated).

What do you mean? I need to build a spaceship or you need to build a spaceship?
-
There is a red and gold blur that disrupts the blue cloudless sky. As you squint you can make out some of the details. Then it is upon. And you don't have any time left. Behold! "Emuir's Breath" I was really inspired by Jon Hall's sky-fi planes on flickr. I used some of his techniques on this build. And now, as is my custom, a period picture. Here is a side-view. As usual, more images are on Brickshelf (when moderated).

Thanks! Do you mean the central curved section as the chassis?
-
Well, I'm on hold for pieces for a bit for my next project so I decided to go digital again and start designing it on LDD. Here is the WIP! I hope you like it! Since it's so far from finish now would be a great time for you to put your two-bit in!

Here are some more images! Here are the loyal imperial troops standing resolutely with the Imp. And here is the greebly, diesel-y back. Thansk for all the nice responses!

Thank you very much! As for the feet my original inspiration was from Keith Thompson's artwork of the Stormwalker for the Leviathan. For example Stormwalker (I don't know how to get just the picture in the forum, sorry.) But I really see your point. Should I just take all the "toes" off and leave it like that? Or do I need to re-do the whole foot area? I would, but I don't have any 1x2 dark green. To all, thanks for liking my mech! I'll be putting up more pictures soon!

Thanks Cooper Works! Your MOCs were a big source of inspiration while working on this.

To all who may have seen my other post a couple of days ago, this is not the giant quadruped mech I'm building. This is in fact a biped. Ok, here we go! The hiss and pounding of the dreaded machine. The soldiers of the trenches cower in fear at the sound. The Imp! With two powerful legs built for all terrains, a 6cm cannon on its left side and a smaller machine gun on the left. Here we can see the vicious pilot of the dreaded machine. (I apologize for poor picture quality, I couldn't get a light in there.) On this side view we can see in more detail the two powerful legs and the array of greeblings in the inside and back. If you like this please tell me and I can put more pictures on. I thoroughly enjoyed building this and I hope you enjoy seeing it. C/C appreciated.

i don't think I've ever seen micro-fig scale MOCs before. Bravo!
-
But would it look good up on top of a large quadruped mech?
-
I didn't know you could do that, where is it? I'm not sure, the full build will have many smokestacks/ I suppose I could add more brown but I want to keep it pretty uniformly dark gray.
-
Alrighty, I'm starting a large scale Dieselpunk mech but I first need some good turrets for the top. I scoured the Internet but there's really nothing that was piquing my interest. So, I started LDD and this is what I came up with! Obviously it needs a lot of work. I'm showing it mostly to get some good ideas from you guys. If you've got any comments and/or constructive criticism, I desperately need it. Thanks!

OK, so I've been getting in to Sky-fi lately, I'm really influenced by Jon Hall's stuff on Flickr. I built a plane (which I will be putting up here soon) but I need an environment to go along with it. I have no inspiration for this and I need help. Anything would help!

This is a beautiful mech! Good job!

I recently bought 7 of this piece (In Reddish brown) on Bricklink in the hopes of building some smaller ships. Now that I have them, I can't seem to find any MOCs that use this piece as the hull. Could anyone direct me to some or give your insights on how to make the piece work?
-
I've been silently watching the creation of this ship for some time. It is beautiful to see it so close to being complete! I can't wait to see the sails!
-
This looks great! I love the machine but I really like the little environment you made around it. Good job.
-
Presenting! The second version of the Vulture! Featuring a longer hull and a new crew. And here's a wider view. And the fearless pirate crew. And, of course, a timely picture.

I feel like the masts are too far spaced on the deck. I know that changing the arrangement might interfere with cannons but I feel like the three-sailed mast could move forward. Good MOC
