OMFGLOL! I found this here sandblue starfightor! (This was just 2 minutes work. Just goes to show that pictures shouldn't be trusted all too easily. To those concerned, this was a Photoshop job.)

It's primarily for buying parts. Set prices and no auctions, that is. Most stores are by Lego collectors like yourself, who want to turn their surplus pieces into money.

No matter how long they last, I find it inexcuseable when you even have to sticker torsos. They're perfectly printable. Also they could have just have designed the truck so that (for example) the headlights are just made with bricks; not relying on big stickers. I just got myself the 1:17 Enzo ( 8652 ), and they only used stickers there where they had to. The headlight bricks and the circular vents (whatever they are) were printed. The other stickers were in places that couldn't be printed, either since those bricks were used in the secondary model (which is also very snazzy, I must add) or since they had to be put right in the middle of two parts (the tip of the nose).

Psh. Know your LEGO, dude. ;) Also, there ain't nuthin' wrong with studless beams, I'm tellin' ya. Them's more compact and cleaner-looking in constructions. Sturdyness is the same, and they's a great addition to the technic parts we already have. Want studs? Grab yourself an 8880. Wonderful car. [/redneck] All kidding aside, we'll still have studded beams to let technic and regular lego connect, but there are some great advantages to studless technic. One I REALLY like is that your average, run-of-the-mill technic beam needs 4 molds to be created, while the studless ones only take 2*, not to mention they need less plastic per beam. *the studless beam takes two molds to create, one for each side. Studded beams need 2 more, for the top and the bottom to create the holes in the studs and the gaps in the bottom. Less molds means simpler fabrication; which in turn reduces costs.

Well, it's the same as with the spiderman sets. Every one of them comes with a little spideyfig since a set has to have one, and if you complete your collection you're stuck with 8 spideys. Unfortunate, but nothing that can really be changed.

OR what they do, is measure the amount of success on each market, and next year one of the themes will be out of the window.

Fo'shizzle, yo. (I will only acquire these sets on at least 50% clearance, after which I will ritually burn the dino's.)

I think lego gave it the best shot they could. To the folks who want to see the thing built entirely out of bricks, would you shell out $1200 for that? 'cuz that's what it'd cos, and I'd doubt it'd look better. Sure, it's not as smashing as the ISD. But I think it's quite impressive nonetheless.

These are known as the survival sets. They are great but they where designed with the hopes to keep the company alive. Is that succeeding; to your opinion? It also seems to me that Lego has created a great offensive; a truckload of Duplo sets to market to the young'uns to 'breed' new Lego fans. Is that true? Or have I just overlooked the Duplo line the last couple of years?

*salutes the dude who came up with the creator sets idea*

There have been some pretty sweet fanmade matrix creations if you know where to look. Also, check out this wonderful hoverpod idea someone made using some tires and a whole lot of minifig visors. And anyone who bitches that Lego doesn't produce enough civvie buildings should stock up on 4886's. I believe they released that set to test the water, to see if the consumers would go back to the old city idea again. If this one sells well, we'll be going back to miniland again. ( No, not 'city'. 'Miniland'. Anyone heard of it? Anyone?

The police station spontaneously combusts all the time and the fire station keeps getting robbed. See? They're keeping themselves busy. As for the homes and factories and stores... they're being built! Really! there's a bunch of construction vehicles that are moving 1*1*1 cylinders all over the place! Oh yeah, and any civilian vehicles exist for racing purposes only.

Bricklink is a store where you can buy lego parts from other lego fans. Maersk Blue was, and is, one of the rarest, thus most expensive of lego colors. MISB means Mint In Sealed Box. Collectors often pride themselves on having many lego sets MISB, and consider them to be very valueable. )while I, personally, prefer to open lego sets and play with them. The original quote goes like this: Which, in summary, means that what you own has no relation to what you are. You may boast about how much things you possess, but they do not matter in the end. And yes, go see the movie. Or read the book. Preferably both. You'll be glad you did.

And another thing, slightly offtopic, but: Does anyone here know wether the ARC-170_Starfighter cockpit will fit in front of the new Jedi starfighter cockpit? That'd ROCK. (too lazy to use the EDIT button)

You'll be having more newgrey than you'll ever need. Maybe a lot of AFOLs will pick it up for that reason. (I hope it's a deathstar2, yeah)

[capslock mode] IF IT IS NOT IN THE NEWS SECTION OF THIS SITE, IT DOES NOT EXIST. AS SOON AS WE KNOW ANYTHING, IT WILL BE POSTED. THANK YOU. [/capslock mode]

Who cares, Eurobricks is still first! (To my knowledge, at least) And thanks to the anonymous donator!

Er. What's a 'fez'? How does one 'fez'? Is there a condition of being 'fez'?

Also, The Lego Company will not allow individuals to just use the word 'Lego' in a website name and such unless you have a REALLY good reason for it. They don't want (potential) customers getting the idea that they are visiting an official Lego site, while it's actually a site where TLC has no control over. Hence also website names like 'bricklink.com' and 'brickshelf.com'

Erm... it may be that your version of Photoshop does not support the special way I used to make the gold. (I use PS 7.0) No fear, there's a simplified version here: http://www.mahjqa.com/stuff/bigvikingslogomerged.psd (to get rid of the shadow effect in this PSD, just rightclick the layer in the layer palette and click 'clear layer style' or 'clear layer effects' depending on which version of photoshop you use.)
