  1. Yes, I'm going to use the double suspension. To sustain the weight I'll surely use 9.5L. When I'll finish to build the chassis, I'll post here some photo (I bet my head that, after your advices and criticisms, I'll have to rebuild something ).
  2. From the fog of those still mysterious times is coming out some new fact that's going to contradict the clone origin of our beloved LEGO bricks - at least, since 1952/3. Read carefully these pages: http://www.leg@s.tabacaria.com.pt/Textos/timeline.htm http://www.leg@s.tabacaria.com.pt/Pt2/txt/700/700_3ABB49Dk.htm http://www.leg@s.tabacaria.com.pt/clones/texts/kiddicraft.htm (the appendix) ----------> http://www.leg@s.tabacaria.com.pt/Pt2/txtBk/50a.htm <------------ I've got some idea about what happened at the time, now I (we) need some evidence .
  3. Thanks, Ddluders. No, I think the 11.5 long is unnecessary. My bad sketches of car shape suggest it can be 1:10 or better 1:9. Upper body will be modular, but it will be surely a bit studded, more Model Team-like than studless Technic style.
  4. I've seen Luca's masterpieces (it's the right word ) on ITLug Ballabio Legofest (Italian most important one, at the beginning of July in Ballabio, near the Swiss borders) the last year, I did stay hours contemplating them, so accurate and detailed as they were. Luca (RoscoPC) is EB member, so I think he'll partecipate here in person . Luca Rusconi .
  5. Greed it's not a synonym of competition. In another thread (and, of course again in another on) I remembered when competitors used their own interlocking system, as Exin Tente or Italocremona Plastic City did, offering some different building options. Here is my review (in Spanish) of an 10 yo Tente set (released in 2001) - see just the images (in this case words are not important) to see how a different interlocking system could work: http://www.exincastillos.es/board/post50058.html#p50058 Tente system is anymore on shelves because Cobi, who had became owner of Borras brand (after the failure of Exin Lines, B. bought -and I think renewed - Tente patents and rights), deciced from a day to another, to enter in the clone market, despite of a huge amount of Exin-based products fan (mainly in Spain and South America). But, this choice was surely suggested by Cobi owners' greed.
  6. We are surely interested, so write on .
  7. I'm working a bit on the central part of the chassis (mainly studded) and on studless rear suspension (with differential and gears for transmission - I hope in this case to do no mistake calculating gear ratios). I'm not sure if it's better for a car to choose 6.5L shock absorber or the 9.5L one. If I choose the first one, I'll double it on every side to strengthen suspension. I'm unsure, I need please some advice. Thanks.
  8. The only one I've got is postioned into my old venerable #8820: Uhmmm... and if I write a little review of this set ?
  9. There are two "pollers" with ham slices on their own eyes .
  10. Great review of a prohibited childhood dream of mine. Here, in Europe, except for some local market, from 9 to 90 . Easy to understand why . You're welcome, NYchase. The day I'll come in your beautiful city, I hope you'll invite me in your house/flat/suite/loft ( ), surely facing on Central Park or the 5th Avenue (double ), and let me share your own LEGO collection . */disappointed discovering that he lives in an old building next the Bronx/* (just jockin')
  11. I like your own alternates, Toa. Once I've tried to build a minitruck with #6742 pieces, but the final outcoming was unworthy of a photo .
  12. I've seen 2H Creator sets photos and I've seen the yellow car. I noticed that it has the steering, any other function? IMO it's illogical.
  13. In a toy store in Sassari central zone there's still on sale an action figure set of about 10 years ago: http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=8300-1 I was thinking of buy it.
  14. [Off Topic]Gerund for to steal is stealing ?[/OT] Yes, they are using the oldest technic building mode, but while we don't care of these ridiculous clone-pins, next years we will see a MBs LEGO-based differential, then a MBs LEGO-based pneumatics... but this isn't important! We are on the right side! And so on. Let I don't agree with you. Yes, it's sure that rip off is unavoidable, those a**h**es are uncapable to invent an alternative building system and they go f**k buyers and both AFoCs and kids minds saying: there's not possibility to share market profits with something completely different. Am I a stupid of it's true that this assumption is a lie?
  15. I was spying MBs activities via open sources (their own building instruction) when I saw this obscenity in those of a HALO set : This means war to me ! PS Edit the title in proper English, please .
  16. I'm the only one, here, that's beginning to hate the licences or, at least, most of them ? (not SW, of course) The pursuite of such goal can put on a second side the improvement of existing themes and the surviving of the LEGO spirit . Bionicle sets are genuine LEGO product, but they have licence pursuing spirit. I don't like that line, the violent core on which is based is a trahison of the traditional LEGO spirit, when the most "violent" tool were the shooting cannon and cowboys' colts in minifig scale - you know what I mean, now.
  17. Mi pari chi chisthi COGO fazini cagà (from sassarese to english: it seems to me that these COGOs produce in my own inner bowels a strange movement directed to the bottom of my upper body...) . Note in sassarese phrase, the assonance between COGO and cagà .
  18. Congratulations to mum and dad ! He's a very gorgeous kid! And remember, keep him bricking (with DUPLO) as soon as possible .
  19. I don't like themes like this, even if the brand were LEGO. Being MBs is a surplus .
  20. In the Eighties, absolutely uncompatible Tente and Plastic City building toys released their own version, with some difference, of Transfomer cars-robots. They did look pretty and without the need of cloning LEGO parts and basical brick shape. Hasbro, instead, has fallen into clone market, that is disapponting to me . Why in the old days, uncompatible brick based building toys sold well and survived, while now there's such a conformism like this ? I don't think the cause is only the bad example given by M#g@b70ks or Tycos, maybe some other interest that now I'm not able to catch.
  21. Since I'm a big fan of old Skodas I did see when I was a kid, I love your new MOC too much . Can you create detailed instruction please ? Seeing images and vid I think I've almost all the parts to make a new one for my shelf .
  22. But Diablock bricks, at least, are not compatible with the LEGO ones. These above, instead, yes .
  23. I wrote "humble beginning", in a mainly studded world . My example is right. Then, you're forgotting that in 1996 came this part: The times, they were-a changin' ...
