  1. Why in Japan a price so high?
  2. Studless parts are one thing, studless construction (with some function created only with studless beams and connectors) is other. We can speak of proto-studless building mode since 1989, at least (see some #8862 instructions step). But it was still primitive.
  3. Blakbird: It wasn't a canopy, but I never was able to put these part in the image below at the correct angulation: Sets is #8444. Or it was too high or it entered into the piece under. Excuse me, Eric, if I didn't finish the work .
  4. Just today I realized that new way of building Technic models has turned 15, and it has cast off its short trousers. Below, the humble beginning: (from #8425 instructions, page 5) Happy birthday, in spite of a little preference of mine for studded construction.
  5. I suspect that a kid, after ten minutes of opening hood and doors, opening hood and doors, opening hood and doors and eventually opening hood and doors, is already bored .
  6. I hope those bricks are sweets .
  7. Year: 1968 Source: Corriere dei Piccoli (classic italian kids mag) Notes: in b/w http://img810.imageshack.us/i/dsc02699k.jpg/
  8. Q: How much time do you spend on Lego? A: Less than I want.
  9. I'd love to go in your Great White North .
  10. Welcome ! Excuse me for what I'm goin' to say you, but here the childish person is another one, not you .
  11. I like the yellow Creator car too. I noticed it has steering . Maybe, with some aesthetic modification, it can be modelteamed .
  12. If the plastic used in these sets were of the same high quality as it was until the end of Nineties, I guess most of these "stresses" could pass unnoticed .
  13. Now I'm going to see if in ITLug user Gioppa has cried blasphemy because of the sets modifications (he hates it) .
  14. Go Robert! I don't like the use of aerograph for the LEGO models, but this one looks cool .
  15. I bet this set will enter in Lego Technic 10 best sets ever. It has some amazing function and it looks great .
  16. No, you're a Dalek ! About the non profit outside of the UK. In the spring of 1980 (the year I was born !) RAI 1 (first channel of Italian public television company) aired a DW series with Tom Baker as the doctor, in "access prime time" slot, and it was successful (who then was kid now remembers it very well and with pleasure). But despite its success among the young fans, at the beginning of the new fall season, RAI never aired other DW series, nobody knows why. Despite the then lack of ads interruptions into the programs aired in public channels (now it's different ), there were commercial clusters both before and after the show, so if a series had success, it was considered commercially profitable. So, why they interrupted the show ?
  17. LOL, one of the funniest scenes, I like this MOC .
  18. Since set price is low, one of the next days I go buy another one and I'll try your modifications .
  19. You can write another review, of course .
  20. I've bought the #8065 (and the #8067 too). My own impressions soon.
  21. #8065 9€90 #8067 19€90
  22. The way I love car MOCs, a mixture of Technic and Model Team solutions . And Firas is ever one of the best builders . It's an EB member, he could write here in person.
