As a QM, let me tell you how hard it is to roll a Special Damage when the hero is *Lucky.* It's extremely frustrating that nothing happens the entire battle. Heroes just kill every hing and my enemies can't respond. Also, Shields seem more common for some reason, even when not lucky. The whole categories and only a select few effects is too complicated for this game. How will we deal with the uber-powerful heroes that already have tons of effects with immunities and such into their weapon? I am still favoring pulling them from the marketplace.

A QM probably shouldn't buff enemies because a hero took Steroids. I rarely do. And removing them now, this instant, from the Marketplace would probably help.

If a hero wastes all his consumables to kill weak enemies, so be it. Limiting the availability will make heroes be wiser about buffing themselves and when.

That makes sense, and logical too. If a knight is too busy hiding behind a shield, or wearing a ton of heavy armor, his offensive capability won't be too good.

But the whole point of the knight is to absorb as much damage as possible. It punishes the party for having a tank with great SP. I think Passive Specials and harder enemies are what is necessary. As said above me, it could mean more reliance on healers and Rogues. Because if a knight spends a ton of gold upgrading his shield, he deserves to nullify the damage.

I like this idea the best. Not a lot of enemies are like heroes. (As in, they could inflict some cool effects with their weapons.) I don't think a positive effect amount cap is good. Some heroes have spent money imbuing a ton of immunities into a shield, artifact, or whatever. So they have "Immune to bla bla bla...." Do those count as positive effects?
