There is a Shield. . If the hero rolls a shield, each hero gets to roll (like a normal battle.) . Each member will get XP if won. . If your champion loses, under the rules of Chivalry, all their gold and items, (except weapons, shields, etc.) is entitled to me. . After I take the items, you may select another champion, and the round will start again. Or, you could all swarm me and forget the contests. But beware..."

I actually kind of take offense to that. 2 lines of text? I found clever ways (such as hypnotism) to get around Doc's rules, and researched many historical facts and fighting techniques, and all I get is "2 lines of text?" I thought it was pretty clever, and I described it in much detail. And, like others have said, only 5 battles, and 90 pages. The plan was 8 battles, but I've pretty much got the equivalent of that... so saying it's not fair is ludicrous.

Alex sees the pikemen struggling. "Alright, everyone take a break!" Their chainmail is hindering them.... but if he taught the Knights, not the pikemen, it would be easier; as moving limbs in articulated plat armor was easier then the heavy weight of chainmail, since the plate was spread out over the body. He tries to train the knights instead.

Alexandre defends himself using the techniques he just trained, if that doesn't work, and he is beaten, his weight in all his armor will make sure the bedroll won't be taken from under him.

Alexandre is pleased as he earns the respect of his new comrade. He slightly winces when the new hero shows unhonorable moves, but nevertheless, he thought, if the enemy didn't say mercy or yield, Chivalry didn't apply. And, grappling and wrestling was a major part of fighting. The front ranks were so cramped on each side, the couldn't use their weapons.

It's pretty much the only way to kill a fully armored warrior with just a sword, the heavy brass pommel will stop them in their tracks. Now, what kind of army training would be without unarmed combat? Or up against an armed opponent? Alexandre shows the infantry the following techniques against a blade: Stabs (underhand): .Step/turn to the left side, use left arm to lock enemy elbow, and throw them to ground. .Grab wrist when enemy is stabbing, then just pull the arm down, and the enemy body will follow. . Push knife arm to the side, then use other hand to hit the side of the elf's head. Overhand stabs: .Grab knife arm, sidestep, and pull knife arm behind the elf's back,and pull; instantly the elf is on the ground. . Step slightly to the side, use arm to push against knife arm's shoulder, the knife will stop swinging, and will overshoot the Lion knight's shoulder. . Push knife arm to the side, then use other hand to hit the side of the elf's head. Side stabs: Use left arm, (if enemy is right handed) and raise it up; your arm will hit the elf's forearm and stop the knife. "Now if these techniques fail, and you are in a desperate situation, no fear, I have more!" If elf is behind you; holding you jaw, and about to slit your neck. . Use left arm and raise it between your neck and enemy's wrist, the knife can't cut any more; and use other arm to lock the elf's elbow, and flip them over. Back into the wall: Grab knife wrist when in motion, then pivot and slam the elf into the wall. Grab the wrist in one hand, the use your spare hand to grab the elf's thumb, then pull the thumb inward. Since the thumb is the controlling point in the hand, the hand will follow. The knife hand will turn inward, and the knife will be pointed at them, then just push, and the elf gets stabbed. OOC: I probably went over the top on this, but I train in this for defense... but who knows how strong our enemies are.
