efferman replied to Marek89's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
sure it is possible, but how far do you want go? a total conversion? -
Thank you very much for the Pictures! they have the wrong cab on the Chassis. The Cab from a U400 on a chassis like a U3000/4000/5000. but i want not be disapointed. The torque tube parts make my unimogs more original and maybe they are usable as Steering parts for driven truckaxles. The Portalhubs, hm well . I will see how good they fit in my 8448 rims. And the rims to the new tires if it works like i think, then they are usable. i make a little prophecy: in five years this new parts will cost 10€ per item, and the tires 50€ my face looks the same if i ask myself: Did i forget a Part? Unimog Assembly - 2nd Arte em Peças - Comunidade 0937 - 55 von Comunidade 0937 auf Flickr btw. i have pre-ordered one

(Review) 8081 Extreme Cruiser
efferman replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
it is available at lego shop at home for more than a month -
nice portalhub for rear axles. the turning point is 5 studs away from the Rim. then they use a cv joint. I prophecy a big big turning circle for this mog. sure, it is massive but could TLG it not make more compact? ok, dont paint the devil on the wall before we get this part in our fingers But thanks to my godess and Dluders for this picture. Now i am sure that it will have torque tubes. Could you see the dark grey/light grey Circle behind the differential? what else could it be than a Torque tube sphere/globe/ball?

Unimog U 2450
efferman replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
yes it is a sub frame, but i am not sure if i give it a 3 point mounting to the mainframe. Their is no more rockclimbing in the plan. perhaps i will make it not remote controlled. this make some things more easier to finish it till the end of this months technic challenge. -

Thanks sam Sunday is a good day to build and i have the next part for you. A "Oiltank" with hidden compressor. The Compressor is inspired by Sariels Compressor more pics in the Brickshelf folder (if online) -
if comes all that true the 8110 is a revolution. But i think dhc6twinotter´s guess with a multilink suspension is more realistic for a U400. It have a four link suspension with a panhard link. But the light angle of the frontaxle speaks more for a torque tube. have someone a timemachine? i jump forward a month, buy two or three, jump 7 months back and post many many pics from it. oh my godess, the secrets of this mog are making pain for my brain.

Unimog U 2450
efferman replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I hope i understand you right. it is not the width. the 8258 has in opposite to my unimog no suspension and a different scale. it is easier to make a complete new frame than modify the 8258 frame. -
