The Lego Movie Events Schedule
Brandon Miller replied to ResIpsaLoquitur's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The B&N event is Saturday at 2 PM. There are only spots for 50 kids. We signed our son up today. I would recommend signing your child up early. The employees still don't know what will be taking place yet. -
Thanks.

Is there a specific part number for the ice skates that come with the ice skater and the hockey player in the minifigure line? What about the hockey players helmet?

Have not been on here for almost 2 weeks. My work was shutdown from Dec 19 until yesterday. It was a nice long vacation with the family. I spent most of it building with my 7 year old Silas. He racked up over Christmas between Santa, Laura and I, and all the other Christmas visits along the way. I didn't realize how much he got until I sat down and made a list. Needless to say we spent a lot of time together in the floor building, taking apart, and building more. I would've killed for this type of score when I was younger. Below is the list of what he got. 9516 Jabba's Palace 75008 Tie Bomber & Asteroid Field 9496 Desert Skiff 31015 Emerald Express 31003 Red Rotors 31005 Construction Hauler 31008 Thunder Wings 4628 Fun With Bricks 60045 Police Patrol 60006 Police ATV 60008 Museum Break-In 30221 Fire Car Polybag 30260 Lone Ranger's Pump Car Polybag 30230 Mini Mech Polybag 30243 Umbaran MHC Polybag 30270 Kraang's Turtle Target Practice Polybag 60055 Monster Truck 1X Yeti Minifigure 2X Gingerbread Man Minifigure 1X Pretzel Girl Minifigure 1X Mountain Climber Minifigure 1X Lady Robot Minifigure 1X Evil Mech Minifigure 1X Island Warrior Minifigure 1X Calamity Drove Minifigure 2X Wild West Wildstyle Minifigure Brickmania Modern Combat Pack V4 (He loves this since 2 of the guns look identical to what we build at my place of employment) He got a lot, but the best part for me was watching him open everything then getting to sit in the floor with him to build it.

Just out of curiosity where are you getting 2 of those doors from to cost you $40+? I found several of those doors on Bricklink in black for around $5-6 each. Are you figuring in shipping on those 2 doors also?

It's from the Star Wars line, but I would think the 10221 Destroyer would be the largest. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Super-Star-Destroyer-10221

They aren't sold out around here as I counted 13 at 3 different stores Saturday.

Where did the Advent calendars go?
Brandon Miller replied to ResIpsaLoquitur's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Little update on my situation. The Bricklink seller was super to deal with and sent some stuff to make up for the missing mini figures. I got on Lego online just to see if they would replace all of the minifigures and accessories, and it took a few days, but they are replacing all of the missing pieces. -
You do realize this set s from 1987?
-
I wonder how much bigger a modern version would need to be for play value?
-
http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6393-1 I've always wondered why this set has never been released in a newer form. I still have my original one. I always loved playing with this set.

Paid Membership with perks? Any interest?
Brandon Miller replied to Siegfried's topic in Forum Information and Help
I don't know if it's possible on your type server or not, but the message boards that are Yuku based have it both ways. If you pay for a membership, the ads do not show up. Those that have a free membership, get the ads. -
Where did the Advent calendars go?
Brandon Miller replied to ResIpsaLoquitur's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It was the City calendar. Yes it does appear that the minifigs are what is missing. -

So now I am desperate. Does anyone have a spare calendar? The one I bought for my son was factory sealed. When we opened door #1 the wrong bag was there. I opened the box to find 7 missing baggies and loose parts everywhere in the box. -

Showcasing my decals
Brandon Miller replied to Brandon Miller's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks LuxorV. Thread title is fine. I hope to be showcasing some LEGO decal artwork very soon. -
Just thought I'd throw this out there. I can do custom decals and have been printing my own decals (including white, metallic silver, and metallic gold). I have done custom NASCAR decals for close to 6 years now. I have not started with anything LEGO yet. I still need to find good templates. I haven't searched yet so if there are any in this thread, I will get to them eventually. I do have a couple of projects that are LEGO related I am about to start working on. Below are a couple of images of the work I have done. The Mad Croc car is a complete decal. I do all of my work in Photoshop and Illustrator. I know the images aren't of LEGO, however, they do show what I can do.
