That is simply fantastic. I've been studying your photos to figure out your build techniques so I can build this for my son.

We were going to run 2 different engines with different motors. It appears that the easier way is to run them nose to tail instead of back to back.

My son recently got the new cargo train set. He's already wanting to add more cars. How can you set up two engines to run together with the IR remote/receiver?

Below is an image of the custom Lego block my son got for his birthday. My cousin made it from 6061 aluminum at his machine shop. It is a larger scale 2x3 block with the Lego script on top of each stud and his name on the side. His reaction when he saw it was priceless.

Fast forward to 2 days ago. Our son got a little bit more Birthday money a few days late, he did chores around the house he wasn't asked to do, and he searched everywhere for loose change. In all he saved $256. He was ready to go to Toys R Us. He decided on the cargo train. He got TRU to price match Walmart, had a $5 Rewards cash coupon we gave him, and a $5 off coupon. He got the train for under $165. He also bought an Ultra Agents set. He did not spend all of his money and stated he is going to save the rest to get another big set he wants. He's a happy boy. The train is built, and I'm not sure who likes it more, me or him.

Once the track is built, what are the overall dimensions? L x W?

He wants both trains but wants the passenger train now because he can buy it. He loves the cargo train too. He's all about hauling stuff in trucks he has built. I'm going to let him decide which he wants, but I don't want him to buy one right now just because he can. He's been coming up with chores of his own to do around the house so he can earn a few extra bucks. He's saving so he has enough for the cargo train. When he gets to that point, we will take him to the store and let him decide which he wants.

My son got some money for his 8th birthday. Along with it and money he has saved, he's dying to get a train. He likes the 60051 passenger train, but I'm trying to convince him to save about $25 more and he can get the 60052 cargo train. I've told him it has more play value for him. Any suggestions on which is the better choice?

My guess would be that truck is moving at a crawling speed. Several large loads like that here in the states move no faster than 15-20 mph.

I make custom Nascar decals already. I've been doing custom decals for close to 10 years now. No, just me messing around at the house last night.

It's not a full on custom. I took random minifig parts to create the character. The guns and ammo box are from Brickmania. The Barrett logo I created and printed on decal paper. I work for Barrett, and the 2 guns chosen represent models we build.

Well it wasn't to be. The seller ended up taking an offer of $165.

I did a random experiment yesterday by grabbing 16 minifigure packs without feeling them or even looking at the size of the packet.
