Coming to think of it - didn't the Star Wars license originally expire around 2005 or 2006? If they renewed it back once surely they'll do it again.

I'm positive the shuttle set is based on the season 2 finale Lethal Trackdown. Boba Fett's name was tied to the set and thats the only episode the two appeared together. If thats the case it would mean the Jedi included will be Ahsoka and Plo Koon since they're the heroes of the episode and already exist as minifigures. And judging by Palpatine's Shuttle and the ARC Fighter which go for the same price that leaves one more minifigure. Aurra Sing seems the most likely candidate because she was the main villain of the episode. Plus it follows the pattern of getting a new CW villain as a minifigure each year: 2008 - Asajj Ventress 2009 - Count Dooku and Nute Gunray 2010 - General Grievous and Cad Bane 2011 - Aurra Sing in the T6 Shuttle and Pre Vizsla in the Mando BP? The only alternatives are another Hondo or Bossk minifigure. But will people be as interested in this set if its just recycled minifigures aside from Boba? Another thing to wonder is will we also be getting a speeder bike included for Aurra or Ahsoka? I think the long angled slope piece would look fine as the nose of the ship. They worked well on the A-Wing and Jedi Starfighters.

Anyone think this hairpiece would be good for Ep4 Luke instead of the girl hair he's been using?

Another point worth noting about the gunship - according to Wookiepedia Cad Bane's ship hasn't actually appeared in the TV series. Its only been used in a video game. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/The_Sleight_of_Hand The Halo does look the right size for a set at that price range. I'm expecting it will come with Sugi and Endo since they require no specialized parts along with either Anakin, Obi-Wan or both.

I hope we get some main characters. Army builders are nice and all but its been so long since we got a Padme figure and the others can do with an upgrade to fit in with the new style OT figs.
-
More likely its ROTS. The V-Wings were shown at the end of the movie and by that point the Empire was already established.

Battle of Naboo sounds interesting. Hopefully it will be the first of several Naboo themed sets like what Lego did with Hoth the past few years.

A S@H exclusive would be a good way to go.

A Mandalorian BP would be sweet. I think there's a good chance we'll see that happen now we have the new Boba Fett helmet. Something I really hope happens is plenty of sets containing the classic heroes. Now that Lego is updating SW figures to the new style printing we need Luke and Han in the rest of their costumes. And Leia. Lots of Leia to make up for not getting a new style one this year. Here are my predictions for next year: - Aurra Sing will be the next CW villain in minifig form. We got Ventress in 08, Dooku and Gunray last year, Grievous and Bane this year. It would be perfect timing for Sing since she was the main villain of the last story arc and is back in action early on next season. I think we'll see her, young Boba with PoP hair, Ahsoka and Plo Koon in a Jedi shuttle set. - Seperatists Super Tank with Ki Adi Mundi. Lego always releases a new Jedi and seperatist vehicle each year so this will fill both gaps. - New Millennium Falcon. Its been 6 years since the last system scale version and its the ideal flagship set for the second half of the year.

This model looks amazing! I really like what you did with the wings. Lego should take note the next time they revisit the ship.

LEGO 8684 Minifigures Series 2 (Official Pictures)

Can't wait to get the roman soldier. I might have to stock up on the surfer so I can use the hairpiece for ANH Luke instead of the girl hair. -
Thanks for the review. Can't wait to pick this one up. I like how the set is reminiscent of the classic castle designs yet feels modern at the same time. I just hope Lego takes advantage of the modular design and releases some expansions like the Armor Shop and Guarded Inn from the 80s.

I think there's a VERY good chance we'll see Aurra around August next year. If you look at the second wave of CW sets for this year they all come from episodes in late season 1/early season 2. Aurra appears in late season 2 and will be back for the early half of season 3 which puts her in the perfect timeframe for next year's range. Plus she's an important recurring villain now instead of a one off henchwoman which helps her cause even more than before.

Cad Bane's speeder had exceeded all my expectations. Everything from the shape and build to the minifigure selection is just fantastic! Thanks for sharing.

Review (Picture and Video) 8093 Plo Koon's Starfighter
wesker replied to ReZourceman's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the review. One thing I like about the CW Jedi starfighters is how Lego keeps the general look consistant but still changes the build a bit. Its also good to have a new astromech droid but I wish Plo Koon had a plastic head. -

Good to hear the PoP sets are out. Now all we need is a sale. Anyone remember the last time Kmart had a 15-20% off all lego? -
Thanks for the review. This is a fantastic looking set! But I'm with you on the axles. The previous version did a better job by building part of the body around them.

I like the look of the shape. Really has a Coruscant feel to it. Aurra Sing isn't in this set. Its too bad because she was really good in the recent Clone Wars episodes.

Which Jedi, Sith or other do you want the most?
wesker replied to darkrebellion's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Ki Adi Mundi and Shaak Ti are the only Jedi left I need. I'm kind of more interested in bounty hunters at this point. Jango Fett needs an upgrade now that we have a new Boba Fett and Aurra Sing is a must since she's a recurring villain in the Clone Wars. It would be great if both found their way into next year's line up. We also need 4-LOM and Zuckuss to finish off the ESB bounty hunters in lego form. I also want a new Padme either in CW or traditional style. Its been too long since she's appeared in a set. Also Princess Leia needs an update to go with the new Luke and Han figures. I'm betting we'll get one next year if that Cloud City set pans out but it would be great if she appears in another set. Especially if Lego doesn't renew the license and next year is the end of Star Wars lego. -
Good review. I like the design of this Slave I the most but the colours were better on the 6209 version.

Thanks for your review. Is Bossk's head made of normal plastic, soft plastic or rubber?

Whats going on with the 8091 Swamp Speeder set? TRU were advertising it in their catalogue about a month ago but the QLD stores never got them in.
