Just... WOW. GORGEOUS landscaping. I love the studs up look and the way it fits perfectly into making the jungle scene feel wild and overgrown. Definitely an inspirational piece - I may steal parts of that big tree for my own use . And the technology instead of gold is a clever twist on the story. All of it is great, but dude, that landscaping is just takes the cake. Out of curiosity, do you know how many trans blue parts you used for the water? Bring more of this stuff to us, castlestrike!

Holy cow Darth Andrew, that had to take some major time to put together. The story's a nice progression and your photography is solid. Enjoyed seeing the "pre-zombies" and their transformation into zombie form. Well done bro. Looking forward to the rest! PS. you should definitely include a teaser picture up in your original post - I think you'll get more hits

Nice moc, -zenn - I'm a huge fan of classic and neo-classic space , and this would fit right in. You did a nice job throwing all those details and greebles into such a small build. Nice, clever, use of that metal detector part too. Keep the neo-classics coming!

haha trust me I know how it can be - I've been out for the last while with school and work, and haven't been on the forums much. I'm in absolutely no rush; just hoped I hadn't missed it somewhere during my absence. Thanks KimT

I haven't missed the crowd favorite, have I? I'm definitely curious to see which vig came in as the overall favorite.

First off, welcome to the forums. Good to have ya. As for availability in other countries, unfortunately the MF is long gone from any countries. But for future reference, you can change your country on Lego.com and see what's available in other places: just click up near the top where it says "United States" or whatever, and you'll get a list that you can choose from. Can get tedious if you're going through all of them, but it's possible. Good luck finding a 4504!

How to write an effective post
Blackicep8ntball replied to Blackicep8ntball's topic in Forum Information and Help
*Update: added some tips for responding to reviews. @NancyStewarts: You've shared some useful tips too - exactly the things people looking for more advanced types of posting should consider. -
Haha wow! I'm equally impressed by the price. Thank you for that boon, TLG. More pieces than the Slave I or UCS Obi Wan's Starfighter and $35+ dollars cheaper. Reveals just how much the SW licensing tax is. This bakery has so many more minifigs too.

Wow nice - I like the lighting effect! Yeah I think you've made an improvement with the chandelier, gordongordon, and it's really nice to see you take your MOC and implement changes . It seems pretty rare that we see people work to improve their MOC; they usually just move onto the next one (I know I'm guilty!). Nice job.

Hey Dragunov, and welcome to Eurobricks. Good to have another "lurker" out in the open . I was a lurker a while myself. Good to see you've got some plans and work going on MOCs, and I'll look forward to your posts! Enjoy the site.

Is NCLUG in Charlotte? if so, it's maybe 1.5 hours or so. Not bad, but if there was potential interest in starting a group in SC, I would still be interested in doing that because people from the lower part of the state would have a much longer drive to get to Charlotte.

Very nice Brickviller! Thanks for sharing. It's neat seeing the evolution from "churchview" with the open lake, then to the layout with the building next to the lake, and ultimately to the trainyard area. I'm kinda sad to see the church gone though! The police station is AWESOME. That's the kinda thing I wish TLG would give us - I particularly like the canopy lights that extend in front. You've got a lot of those trans-black window parts . That big, over-the-road highway sign is well done too - your own design? Keep the work going! You've got a nice city area and an impressive collection. Out of curiosity, have you ever thought of putting little "cameos" in your city scenes? I.e... check out the last picture with the spaceship in this MOC. Sometimes people throw a little random space figure or SW figure in a city or pirate scene, or a futuristic diver in what's clearly a 1600's pirate MOC, whatever... something "humorously" out of place. You may like to keep yours clean and straight city stuff, which is fine . Just curious!

Haha this was a priceless contest . I really enjoyed seeing all the entries... LegoJoe, your worm-hunting apple took the cake. Congrats to the lucky raffle winners!

Haha yup no replies till yours. That might explain the lack of an SC LUG, eh? . You're right about the DixieLUG, doesn't seem very active. Keep me updated on the train show, and if you don't mind, keep your eyes open for anyone from SC! Thanks for the info, fred67.

Sorry about that broken link; here's try #2: Canopy. It's not available in trans black yet, but it's coming out on the new UCS Obi Wan's Jedi Starfighter.

Hey Soulgem, and welcome to Eurobricks (EB for short). You're not kidding - this is a huge forum; I've been here since April and I'm still learning my way around. I recommend starting with the list of forums and just reading through each heading. Afterwards, start at the top and begin clicking through each one to get an idea as to what kinds of posts you might see there. Some particularly helpful instructions can be found in the "Website and Forums" forum - I'd start with the Member Guidelines thread therein for your basics, then look through the "EB User Groups and Tags" thread to get an idea of who's who around here. Finally, look at the "Index of Tutorials" to get valuable tips on everything you've ever wanted to know about posting, from MOC'ing to photo editing. Hopefully this offers some guidance! Is there anything in particular you're looking to find? Anyway, nice collection there - you've got some classics . Enjoy the site!

Welcom, Jalen! Good to hear you've re-entered the world of Lego. Those sets are some oldie but goodies - 6386 came out the year I was born . I take it you started collecting pretty early as you would have been about 1 year old when that came out . I've always wanted that forrestmen set too... Do you build MOCs or mostly just collect sets? Anyway, good to have you on EB!

Well first of all, welcome to the forums, Gordongordon, and a very nice start on the MOC. You've done a fantastic job building a creepy scene, and there are several very neat details. The chandelier, for starters, gives a feeling of ancient splendor to the vignette. And boy, that skeleton table gives a perfect touch of horror and creativity to the upstairs scene. Nice use of space too, placing them at an angle like that. As for the basement, I actually like the three coffins as you've placed them, but I do see how they look crowded in there from the zoomed-out image of the entire MOC. What do you think about expanding the vignette a little more? Finally, nice touch with the ghost . As you might see from my avatar, I'm a big fan of him .

Hey Baylego, good to have you on EB. Good ol' Colorado, eh? Visited some of your ski-slopes earlier this year, and that was quite an experience. Looking forward to seeing your MOCs!

Welcome back to the world of bricks! You've got an interesting username, typo . Tell us a little about yourself!

Good to have you as one of the named members, Brickviller (as opposed to one of those unknown "guests" ). That's pretty remarkable to avoid the dark ages completely - I had a pretty lengthy dark age myself. Looking forward to seeing Kanaalzicht when you get it posted, and a warm welcome to EB!

I'm really glad you took the time to MOD this set, Kiel - some of the stuff you fixed, TLG should really have done in the first place and I wonder why they didn't. You did a very good job. Your picture of the Jedi pouring out of the ship is a really cool shot, btw. What do you think about using one of these for the front canopy when it comes available in trans-black? Man, I just bought the TLG set at Toys-R-Us last week (they're getting particularly hard to find now!) but I don't have the spare money to keep it I'm ebaying it. But boy, I've got the bug and I may have to buy a used version of this set.

Nice review, Lisqr - that had to be a time consuming one. I completely missed out on the Exo-Force line during my "dark ages", but I would like, eventually, to collect some of the minifigures from the line. I kinda like that anime look. Those discs are interesting too. I'm still not sure how Lego justifies all these heavy weapons and bombs and "violence" but just won't make military sets . Sure it's cartoon-y violence, but that's getting into a thin line to draw . Ah well.

Wow, -R8-... not what I expected, but well done. Particularly nice job with the shape: you didn't just take the easy route and make the left side a mirror image of the right. What inspired this creation? And I'm curious too, did you try using a tan or something closer to a flesh tone where you ended up using yellow?
